Happy Advent!

Here's the link to the November thread where we cheered each other on to be MoSlender

Now we slide frostily into Christmas with the hope of losing more (or at least not losing our grip completely)

Morning all , I am awake far too early .

I am actually lying here contemplating starting the month of well and going to the gym before work , but then I looked at the weather and it is -6 out there !

Some meal planning to be done today , I couldn't decide last night and was knackered so we ate pie which is definitely not a healthy choice .

So new month new start . good luck everyone .

Advent calendar chocolates have no calories right?

Did you go to the gym howlong? I can never face it that early

Howlongtillbedtime · 01/12/2016 08:18

No I couldn't drag myself out , dh had lit the fire so it seemed rude to leave it without someone to warm .

I did however make a fried egg sandwich for my breakfast so DEC is going really well for me so far !

HairsprayBabe · 01/12/2016 08:25

Bad start to the month for me, went out for dinner post Christmas shopping last night and am weighing in this morning at 12.6 still I suppose if it all wooshes away then I will have a bigger total loss for the whole month!

Still have things to buy and wrap wanted to be done by now but hey-ho.
I have 6+ a few bits for DP to get. I love Christmas but this is the first year I have felt stressed out by it!

BeyondTheHarpy · 01/12/2016 08:58

I've feeling rather worse for wear again this morning. Had a rough night, started with pain like trapped wind then had to use the bathroom a few times, then I felt sick and like I was massively overheating, while also feeling freezing. Woke up this morning and my night time pad is literally saturated with blood. Not even my postnatal bleeding was like that!

Just waiting for DH to get back from the school run then he's gonna call the doctor. On the plus side though, I'm down another 3.8lbs overnight

EvermoreEvermore · 01/12/2016 09:11

I would like to please join. I am due back at work after a year's mat leave in January. I could do with a final push to get back in my work clothes!

QuimReaper · 01/12/2016 09:12

Fucking hell Bryond Shock How much longer till he's back?! Were you bleeding heaving yesterday too, or just overnight?

QuimReaper · 01/12/2016 09:15

I'm the opposite Hairsprey - every year I say I'm going to start early to spread the cost, and this is the first year I really did, I was really organised and buying gifts in September!

Then, as luck would have it, my sister imposed a spending cap and I had already met (well, exceeded) it, so I feel all disappointed that I don't get to go and stomp around the shops feeling all Christmassy, because I've already pretty much done everyone Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 01/12/2016 09:20

Evermore you're very welcome. We will push and cajole you Smile

Beyond that sounds worrying. Hope your DH is home now and you're getting some help Flowers

It's just been overnight, I was bleeding yesterday but not heavily at all. He's on the phone to gynae now...

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 01/12/2016 09:56

Glad you are speaking to your doctor Beyond, heavy bleeding + feeling like crap is generally a worrying combination. Hope everything is ok and you can get checked out Flowers

Mummyreindeerlegz · 01/12/2016 10:00

Please mah I join you? I'm aiming for 6lbs off by the 23rd. That would nudge me under 9st. So not mumsnet thin but me thin :-)

I'm doing the runtastic abs six pack abs thing and aiming three gym sessions a week and trying to limit the rubbish to specific days.

HairsprayBabe · 01/12/2016 10:12

Mummy! Welcome welcome!

I weep at the thought of being under 9st! Don't think it has happened since I was a teenager!

I hate the gym, and still haven't managed to do any exercise in for ever as I hate doing it, and find it very dull!

Mummyreindeerlegz · 01/12/2016 10:16

I haven't been under ten stone since I was ten so being 9st6 is bloody weird :-)

I don't mind the gym, my children aren't there and I can switch off. I often leave dh doing dinner for the boys and so miss that and bedtime. Even the elliptical is better than cleaning a high chair.

I also make the gym more fun for others by having regular mishaps. I sat on the rowing machine last week and the seat shot backwards.

Mummyreindeerlegz · 01/12/2016 10:17

(And thank you for the welcome HB! Good to see a friendly face Xmas Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 01/12/2016 10:28

Hello mummy and welcome

I am reaming of being 11 stone something by Christmas. Not been there for 8+ years

OP posts:
HairsprayBabe · 01/12/2016 10:30

Boop That is my dream too! Sub 12st for Christmas day!
DP will have never seen me so thin!

BitOutOfPractice · 01/12/2016 10:34

I'm 12 stone 3 now. It should be doable!

OP posts:
HairsprayBabe · 01/12/2016 10:38

I should be 12.4 if I ignore what I ate last night and be golden today I am sure I will be back on track! So similar starting point!

BitOutOfPractice · 01/12/2016 10:41

Unfortunately though I don't lose as quickly as you!

OP posts:
abigwideworld · 01/12/2016 10:44

Hello, can I join you? I'm getting married at the end of the month and had a baby 4 weeks ago. I'm doing slimming world and would like to lose about 9lbs this month.

QuimReaper · 01/12/2016 11:11

Welcome mummy and abig! That's a bloody laudable goal for this month of chocolate and cheese abig!

mummy I once got off the treadmill and fell over. I literally just fell over. I didn't fall over anything, I didn't collapse, I just got off and instead of walking I crashed to the floor.

Loads of personal trainers and other gym-users all rushed to me thinking I'd had a heart attack or sustained a terrible injury or something and I just got up and brushed myself off, mumbling that I was fine, and I'd literally just fallen over for no reason Blush
