Looks like a great chair for your beautiful DD over - great height for her to be more on your level, and the wheels will save your back. 1st photo we've had in an age too - love it! Who dares upload the next? Wink

AprilLady · 29/09/2016 23:16

Evening all. Impressed at all the exercise going on, I seldom manage more than a bit of walking. Dare I ask, what are Burpees?

Stewart being in the 9s is great!
Sugar, welcome to the 11s
Over, hope the chair will make your and DDs life easier.

Struggled today, felt really hungry all day although calories fairly evenly spread between breakfast (porridge), lunch (baked potato, cheese, salad) and supper (salmon, broccoli, salad). Also a small taste of icing after baking and decorating 30 cupcakes for DS to take into school tomorrow.

SesameSparkle · 30/09/2016 00:52

over love your dd's chair.
not well done for surviving another bc!
Thanks for the comments, being in the 9s is completely unexplored territory. Scary biscuits.
Way past my bedtime and no time to post all the other replies I would have liked to have left.
Night all

Not2bObvious · 30/09/2016 06:26

I think my description of a burpee might be as bad as my effort at one but here goes:

  1. Standing up straight, bend til your palms are flat on the floor (bending knees ofc)
  2. Jump back your feet to go into press up position
  3. Jump your feet back so you're back to bent knees & flat palms (proper hardcore sometimes do a press up before this bit)
  4. Jump into the air & clap
And repeat, repeat....I should mention I can't do steps 2 or 3. I put one leg at a time out/back in Look it up on you tube to see how easy people make it look. It's much easier to do if you have a small step, you put your hands on that instead of the floor but my meany instructor won't let me do that cause I'm not injured (yet, but he might be soon if he keeps this up!) Haven't weighed yet, the nerves!!!

Ok, final weigh in for September is 11.2.8 - that's a loss of 3.2 over the month. I'm up .4 from yesterday & 1.2 from my Wednesday low of 11.1.6 - I feel a bit bunged up but know that probably only accounts for a small amount. I'm finding it hard to be positive, but lightbulb moment here. The facts are every weekend I eat/drink too much, most weeks bar this one, I went over on my calories. So to have lost close to a quarter of a stone is a win.
Well, best put my game face on and get ready for the final week before my week away. I need to learn from this, I really do

Wow I'm another 2lbs down this morning so my first official weigh is 5.5lbs since last Monday Grin

Overtiredbackagain · 30/09/2016 06:58

More pics - my beautiful three (and a sneaky selfie!) Grin

Not2bObvious · 30/09/2016 07:28

Lovely kids over, and what a start to week 1! Although in your sneaky selfie from what I can see you look lovely & slim. Really great work

imwithspud · 30/09/2016 07:59

Lovely photos!

Did my weigh in this week, only lost a quarter of a lb, so I've recorded it on MFP as 10st 12 which is the same weight as last week.

I have mostly been good this week but my period came on Wednesday and I feel pretty crap bloated and crampy as a result so I'm putting it down to that. Hopefully next week will be more successful.

Overtiredbackagain · 30/09/2016 08:17

I wish that were true, put it down to effective lighting?? Wink

I'm down from 12st 1.75 last Monday to now 11st 10.5 (with a couple of cheeky, much needed glasses of wine last night, but they were the first since Saturday Grin

StewardsEnquiry · 30/09/2016 08:27

September stats:
Start weight 11.4
Today's weight 11.6 and a half.

So net gain of 2.5lb but from a high in the middle of the month of 11.11 (face palm). FFS.

Anyway, I'm in the zone, still. I have been on 1200 calories for a week now so I should be able to carry on.

Sugarandsalt · 30/09/2016 08:35

Lovely photos. Very impressive week Over. Not I consider 3lbs in a month a definite win.

I decided not to weigh this morning as I think seeing a 12 might upset me! I'm in pain after level 2 of 30 day shred. I have to go straight from work to airport today and straight out to dinner so no shred today but I'll do it tomorrow using my mothers heaviest tins! I think it's working, I'm currently in my leather pencil skirt and it sits lovely. When tucked a top in. Measurements pre: 38-28-42.Now 37-27-40. Not bad after 10days. Definitely more of a pear than an hourglass these days though. So 2 dinners out this weekend, going to need to keep the alcohol intake low.

coragreta · 30/09/2016 08:55

Total loss for September is 7lbs. If I keep that up I'll be at least another stone down by Xmas. Imagine!
Hope everyone has positive end of month results.

Not2bObvious · 30/09/2016 09:11

Oh that is nice over to drop into a new stone and very firmly.
spud totm will have affected you with fluid etc. I think to see a loss at all is great.
stew - you're the right side of 11, you and me can turn it around in October. My fear is my holiday will obliterate the loss and I've been between 11.2-11.9 for absolute AGES.

OP posts:
StewardsEnquiry · 30/09/2016 09:14

Not2 but you are SO close to the 10s! Remember last year when I lost 3lb while I was away in October? Im going to try to do it again Grin

Not2bObvious · 30/09/2016 09:15

cora 7 pounds is fabulous! Super work
Skinny sugar in the leather skirt, swit swoo😉 Brilliant inch loss, you're right to leave the scales well enough alone, I'm sure you look fab and them contrary b*stards could ruin you day deliberately (f'ing hate my scales right now, proper hate)

Not2bObvious · 30/09/2016 09:25

I'd have to come back without one of my limbs to lose weight on holidays stew😜 But I'm not going to be totally defeatist about it. I'm taking my running gear, I'm not eating between meals and there'll be no cocktails - the company I'm going with consist of children and dbro who's not a picker or cocktail drinker. When I go away with dh we're cocktail crazies and both love nibbling on nuts/crisps. I've another week to build my habit of 3 meals a day, no snacking. Who knows, maybe I'll get a whoosh next Friday to 10.13.8

imwithspud · 30/09/2016 09:31

Thanks Not and I agree. Trying not to think to much of it otherwise I know I'll end up thinking 'fuck it' and go completely off track.

Lolimax · 30/09/2016 10:49

Not quite brave enough to share pics but I was wondering if you'd all be ok to let us know how old you are? I'm aware we're all different ages and our reasons for loosing weight are quite varied.
I'll start. I'm 46, I've been ill with a neuro condition which I was very lucky and recovered from with some only minor lasting effects. The medication and doing nothing did make me put on loads of weight though. So fast forward a year and I decided to get off my fat arse and realised I was so lucky to survive and make the most of life. Getting fitter and loosing weight has also helped in that I haven't needed a lumbar puncture since April! Go me :)

roarfeckingroar · 30/09/2016 11:11

I'm going to be really needy and ask if I can join in your MFP club again Blush .

Started this morning and it's easier than I thought. The only issue is I tend to have a few drinks on Fridays and Saturdays and really don't want to have to own up to those calories.

Not2bObvious · 30/09/2016 12:13

Gosh loli nasty health issues, glad you're on the mend and big pat on the back for tackling your weight. I'm early 40's, no health issues thank god, just tired of being either obese or overweight. Weightloss is a hobby I'm really bad at😉
Welcome back roar, no judgement here just friendly chat & advice

AprilLady · 30/09/2016 12:46

Not, thanks for the burpee explanation. Sounds tough. In fact, googled the 30 Day shred and even more inpressed with Sugar for sticking at it.

Loli, I'm mid forties too and have spent far too much of my adult life obese. I have 3DC and a lot of my motivation for losing weight is to get healthier and be around for them for a long time to come.

imwithspud · 30/09/2016 13:07

I am 25, I gained about 2-3 stone when pregnant with dd1 and I really regret it! I wish I'd been more careful with what I ate during my first pregnancy as I've struggled to get the weight off ever since. Didn't gain any weight with dd2 thankfully, but now I'm done with having kids, I think it's time I sorted it out. Being overweight is really affecting my confidence and making me miserable.

roarfeckingroar · 30/09/2016 13:36

My plan is to go for a run and skip dinner before I go out tonight to negate the wine calories.

Trying to work out what to have for lunch now. Had two hard boiled eggs and an apple with 1 tbsp of unsweetened peanut butter for breakfast so maybe just soup.

madein1995 · 30/09/2016 13:56

Gosh, I've missed lots of posts!

Hello and a big welcome to don't, andie and roar*
Well done to everybody on the weight losses!
Not hope you're not too achy now and the bath helped
over you've got gorgeous kids, your youngest is beautiful Smile

Came in at 1192 yesterday and official weigh in today, using the proper gym scales and I am down to 17.3 and a half so 2.5 pounds loss this week Grin not going to count calories today as going out for a meal so would be difficult to do it and also want to enjoy dads birthday. Am back on it tomorrow though and want to lose 3 pounds next week. Should be easier because mam is in work and I'll be able to cook healthier food.

I'm 21, and lost over 2 stone last week before putting it all on plus more. I went down to 14.10 but stopped exercising and gained it all back on. I did slimming world and it was good to an extent and I still eat the ready meals now, but I think it was unsustainable in the long term - eg a dominos was easily over my syns for the week so I'd spend the rest of the week worrying etc before weigh in. Wheras with MFP I enter it and count the calories and just watch my calorie intake the rest of the week - this way I can eat anything, just watch how much etc, and with SW I felt certain things (chocolate fudge cake, dominos, kebabs) were banned.
