Don't skip dinner roar, recipe for disaster and a kebab on the way home. One night with a few hundred cals over is better than being hungover tomorrow cause you'd no lining. Or worse still getting pie eyed after 2 glasses, although you'd be a cheap date😉

That's excellent made, is that from Monday or last Friday? Either way well done you! Enjoy your night out

roar can I ask what you drink if you don't mind? Only because I like a few drinks on the weekend but what you drink really makes a difference. I discvered recently that prosecco is only 80cals a glass! Vodka is 70 cals per 30mls, gin is 52cals per 50mls, and if you mix those spirits with sugar free lemonade/tonic water/diet coke the calories are a lot less than if you were on cider (239cals per pint) or wine (167 per 250ml glass)

madein1995 · 30/09/2016 14:02

not that's from this Monday so not even a full week Grin chuffed haha

Lolimax · 30/09/2016 14:07

Well done Made! I've just commented on your Welsh thread (careful with that alcohol now lol, that OP thinks everyone in Wales is an alcoholic).

roarfeckingroar · 30/09/2016 14:10

Madein- great point! Prosecco --and- or vodka tonic it is then. I'm having a small pressed turmeric, carrot, apple and ginger juice for lunch. Lord knows how I'll record that!

Overtiredbackagain · 30/09/2016 14:12

Well done Made!

My age? I'm a very tired [clears throat and whispers] 42! I like to think my DP keeps me young - sssshhhhhhh he's 26! Grin

Not2bObvious · 30/09/2016 14:13

Step aside there loli us Oirish are the real drunks 😂
made I thought gin was a lot more than that, mfp had it somewhere between 70-100 for an ounce (28ml I think?) I would LOVE it to be 52 for 50! That would make my weekend

StewardsEnquiry · 30/09/2016 14:13

I'm mid thirties and have been gaining and losing weight my entire adult life. My childhood was spent watching my older sisters struggling with their weight and doing all sorts of weird 80s diets so I think that is where my food ishoos come from. I have rather disordered eating some of the time but I feel better when I am thinner so I keep at it!

madein1995 · 30/09/2016 14:18

I know loli I think some people must think the Welsh, especially those in the valleys, are all lushes. And of course, we're all zombies Wink

not according to MFP 50ml of gordons gin is 52 calories, not too sure how accurate that is though as a 'generic' gin is 56 calories or 25 ml so thats a bit odd Grin

Not2bObvious · 30/09/2016 14:21

Well I'll take that measure made😉
I do like a couple of g&t's they last longer then a glass of vino in my hand. Tonight is looking better

Made I always cling to gin and slimline being free on Atkins. I know we're not doing Atkins but if it's good enough for him Grin

Well I've been to the gym, had a (massive) salad for lunch and resisted the Macmillan coffee morning (cake at the gym is just MEAN) so hoping to come in under target today.

Feeling frustrated about slow losses. I think I was secretly hoping for a massive first week ala low carb, weight watchers etc. The whole point was that I wanted a slow, sustainable approach this time but my brain hasn't entirely signed up to the memo apparently.

JuddNelsoninTheBreakfastClub · 30/09/2016 14:43

Hello, posted on previous thread but have now name changed! Not doing well with the diet but have been exercising and running more. Have noticed the Mfp gives lower calories burned in exercise compared to map my run. Was running on the treadmill at the gym and mfp was again giving lower calories. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm using the mfp app, will stick to the lower calories anyway, don't want to fall into a false sense of security!

madein1995 · 30/09/2016 14:44

Don't I know exactly what you mean in regard to the slow losses. When I did SW, losing 3-5 lbs a week was normal and even a terrible week with cake a few times and wine etc gave a loss of 1lb. I feel like I've got to work so much harder now, but then my goal is to get it off and keep it off and I suppose theres a reason so many people do diet clubs and then gain it all back (case in point - me) Smile

Bathsheba3 · 30/09/2016 14:57

Busy morning on here!

My Sept loss was 8 lbs, so 2 lbs / week. So it did exactly what it said on the tin. Finished Sept at 12 st 1. Mid 40's. I like coragreta's positive thinking that keep it up & it's another stone down by Xmas.

Not2bObvious · 30/09/2016 15:34

I've 320 consecutive days on mfp, I would love to make it a full year. I was 168.8 I think when I started this streak, and I want to be 147.8 by the year anniversary. I'm currently 156.8, so 9lb in 6 or so weeks.
That's brilliant bath - fair play for hitting the September goal👏

Very busy on here today.
I'm 27 and lost my weight the first time as I was struggling to get pregnant. Put it most back on when I was pregnant (and eating cake on mat leave) so now trying to finish what I started 2 years ago.

MustBeThin · 30/09/2016 16:46

Hello everyone welcome newbies and well done on the losses Grin

I'm still 10st 7. My goal for September was to maintain 10st 7 which allowed me to go on holiday, gain and then loose it again rather than expecting a September loss. I did get to 10st 6 two days before my holiday so I'm still 1lb up on my all time low but I managed to maintain my 3st loss overall which I'm really happy about. My aim is to get to 10st before the end of the year which is hopefully achievable but I'm losing weight really slowly now. I need to buy all new autumn/winter tops, could do with some more size 10 jeans and I've just ordered a size 10 coat which I'd already tried on in the shop Grin I actually already own the same coat in a size 14. I've already got my winter boots Grin I bought 2 pairs while I was on holiday.

Hope everyone has a brilliant weekend.

imwithspud · 30/09/2016 16:53

Well I am definitely going over my calories today as we are having McDonald's for dinner later (dp's choice), ill be sure to be extra good over the weekend to make up for it.

Sugarandsalt · 30/09/2016 17:22

I'm mid-thirties. Was always a little heavier than I'd like 10.5-11.5stone, was happy just under 10stone which I reached for my wedding. Moved house while on maternity leave, felt very isolated and managed to comfort eat my way up to 15st13lbs! Not far from my previous heavy weight and starting to fit into some of my old clothes which is great. Aiming to get back to 10st7 to start with. 11st13.5 at moment, but losing very slowly.

I'm in the airport now, waiting for a flight home to a weekend of meals out. Gulp.

roarfeckingroar · 30/09/2016 17:34

Does anyone have any tips? Between two apples and 2 tbsp no added sugar peanut butter, a large bowl of home made carrot and coriander soup, 2 hard boiled eggs and a bit of beef jerky I've had 1008 calories. I only have 192 left if I'm to stick to 1200. I'm hungry!

Not2bObvious · 30/09/2016 17:55

Eat something decent and start again tomorrow, especially if you're going to drink tonight. Lots of dribs & drabs making up your 1000 - probably be 300 for apples & peanut butter, which wouldn't be worth that imho. You can work your way down to 1200, don't kill yourself to hit it straight off. I eat eggs and brown soda bread with butter (1 egg, 1.5 bread, 7gr butter) Same bread at lunch with something protein'ey. Then whatever the rest are having for dinner but smaller portion. Lots of water. Working on no snacks, going pretty good for a week now

I've come in to stamp my foot (see! Can you hear it??) I've just walked the dogs 6kms. I know I have cos I GPS'd it on Map My Walk. And I have 2 smelly small dogs sleeping on the sofa beside me to prove it. 6kms. Yet MFP tells me I've only done 8500 steps today. So how far do you have to walk exactly to get to this mythical 10,000?

Not2bObvious · 30/09/2016 19:25

I'm confused loli, stamping feet added to steps count though. What are you using to feed your steps to mfp? My Fitbit is linked but can be slow updating the data. Am I missing something about mfp? Is map linked to mfp?
Only just ate, had glass of wine so prob a bit stoopid now - hadn't eaten for hourrrrs

roar boil up every veg you've got. Add tinned tomatoes if you've got them and spices as desired to make soup or chilli or curry. Low calorie and filling emergency meal :)

I'm tired and really want to lie face down in a Chinese.

Takeaway, not person.
