Awake stupid early grrr -thanks for the suggestion sesame but my body appears to ignore flaxseed and pretty much any/all conventional methods of encouraging regularity. Coupled with totm bowel shyness (as a result of endometriosis) it's a bad time for that side of things.
loli I hope you're minding yourself, no pizza because you cooked the pizzas
(I'd have been face down in one after that!) and you don't let yourself have a bit of chocolate from time to time? I think you need to relax a little and be a bit kinder to yourself, you're always running about and to be honest it doesn't sound like you're eating enough. It's entirely possible to go from bingeing to starving oneself and its not uncommon. I've been on this thread from the first one and I've seen people struggle, often feeling tormented by the desire to keep the food limits/weight right down. I don't mean to upset you and I really hope I haven't - of course I don't "know" you but I think I get you iykwim?

Sesame go you on the new clothes! The novelty on being able to buy from 'normal' shops hasn't worn off for me either.
And Not you're right about me, I think I am becoming a self obsessed princess (my words not yours!). I can't drink anything with caffeine due to my wonky brain but now I've added carbs and a strict calorie count to that I must be a nightmare to be with. The closer I get to target the more critical with my body I become. I really thought at 12.7 I'd be happy. At 12.5 I'm not, so I'm going for 12.2. Then I'm thinking do I aim for the 11's? Or am I going too far?

Bathsheba3 · 21/11/2016 08:41

Great shopping trip Sesame. Well deserved and worth all that effort Star

I'd say high 11's isn't such a bad target Loli, but I'm no guru on these things. I can't remember your height, but for me (5'7) it still leaves a good coverage of body fat to keep the wrinkles at bay!!! You have come so far. Do you know how you will manage when on maintenance? I only ask as I that's where I will struggle I think. So for me if I aim for 10 11 say, the next stone bracket will serve as my mental alarm clock to get back on track. Well, that's the theory for me anyhow.

Lunch was delicious thanks. No reports of having poisoned anyone. Was v good all day. Then lost the plot in the evening & doubled my calorie intake at least. But I'm really not bothered. It almost had to be one to remind myself that I actually get little satisfaction / pleasure in doing so. Heartburn and bad wind yes. No WI til later in the week.

Hope the bloat doesn't interfere with your energy levels Not. When's your next apt at the gym?

Simonneilsbeard · 21/11/2016 08:46

Sesame I lost 5lbs ..I know it's not much but I feel healthier in general this week. I think I lost water weight but Iv been drinking loads. No bloating either which has been a huge problem for me!

SesameSparkle · 21/11/2016 09:03

loli how tall are you? You could look to your bmi number perhaps? I noticed the biggest difference of all when I hit a bmi of 25. Although I've dropped a couple of points since, it really only impacts on clothes fit, rather than overall shape.

bath glad that lunch was a success. Sounds like the eve you got a lesson in mindful eating - no bad thing. You can put it behind you and move on. Smile

simon that's a big loss! Was that only in 1 week?

Weighed myself today and I've lost a lb. First lb off since 31 October. Better a loss than a gain right now - and it might provide a buffer for the holidays - but that does mean I haven't crackled maintenance yet. Also given I've set my cals to maintenence I didn't even get any confetti... Confused

Not2bObvious · 21/11/2016 09:38

Omg simon that's a brilliant loss! I'd need to lose a limb to get that in a week. Well done.
Oh loli I think the problem here is expecting to be happy at a particular number. It also takes a while for the brain to catch up and acknowledge the changes. You have done amazing so far but honestly think about your lifestyle and your quality of life. The unnecessary restrictions could grind on you and those around you. I think looking at the bmi and how you've improved it might be an idea? Although it can be crazy, I know my healthy range is 10.5 and 8.5 - I would be a corpse at 8.5! Pls take a step back and eat a decent number of calories, do not starve yourself.
Glad to hear the meal went well bath, I did the same munchy thing last night but hey ho. Have a class at 6 and this instructor is a miniature power pack! Thinking of it as last chance workout as my weigh in's tomorrow at 3😖

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 21/11/2016 09:40

Gosh sesame just read what you said about losing a pound on maintenance - I can't even imagine losing weight while eating more (of course I can barely manage to lose weight...hmm wonder why😉)
Yippee! So the 1700-1800 is too low, happy days😁

OP posts:
Simonneilsbeard · 21/11/2016 09:49

Yea it was only in a week..I'm putting most of it down to water weight tbh! I expected to lose 1 or 2 lbs maybe

Bathsheba3 · 21/11/2016 13:28

Great 1st week loss simon. Think you have nailed the mindful eating completely sesame Star. with a sneaky loss thrown in for good measure!

I'm not going to be exercising today - fair weather girl. Will def be going out tomorrow morning for a run.

TheQueenOfItAll · 21/11/2016 14:10

Hi all,

Quick post as on my phone and running around like a headless chicken! Been really good this weekend - and possible wishful thinking, but I feel the arms on my jumper are a bit looser than usual.

Trying to avoid stress eating today, but after some family troubles have to book an impromptu trip back to UK.

Not2bObvious · 21/11/2016 14:28

Sorry to hear you have family troubles that require travel - hope it's not too serious😔
Bath I wish I didn't have to exercise today, my dread level is at a dangerous high. Why am I doing this...wailing like a mad woman. I know I'll be glad I did but the fecking dread is crippling. 1 week down, 5 to go. I think I need to make a count down chart as a visual encouragement

Evening. The weather here is unbelievable! The rain...

Sesame The berry porridge sounds lovely. Well done on the size 10's, that's fantastic! Wow, did you really used to be size 20. Fantastic! And well done on another lb.

I'm glad the argument resolved itself and some contrition was shown by your DH Sugar.

I'm glad the meal went well Bath.

Brilliant weight loss Simon, well done.

Hope the family troubles resolve Queen.

You will be glad you did it Not.

Just a dog walk for me today for exercise and the rain is extreme here, it takes a lot for me to not run!

Porridge for breakfast.
Salad and banana for lunch.
JO prawn and fennel risotto for tea.

Should end the day under, or thereabouts.

Weight 7.10, which, according to MFP is 62% of the way to my target of 7.7lb. Lots of folk noticing now too.

Hope everyone is ok.

DawheadAwgusEeentock · 21/11/2016 17:55

Sesame that's brilliant about the 1lb! - Well done Star. This maintenance phase is all going to be a bit of trial and error for a while, so you are doing great. You're still logging (after 222 days - wow!) and exercising, so you are doing everything correctly to keep on top of things.

Not it's interesting what you said about Christmas being dangerous - have lots of experience of that weight-loss wise. Did you really have your ironing done before 8am on Sunday Shock - bows to domestic goddess Grin! That 0.8lb combined with TOTM sounds great - well done Star I am sure it means once TOTM is over there will be a big whoosh on the scales - maybe even tomorrow! I can't really help you with the exercise dread (I'd be the same) but try to focus on the end of the class not the beginning - you'll have all those brilliant endorphins and you'll be so proud of yourself that you did it!

Bath Udders - yes! Lol Grin. So sorry you are having H troubles too Flowers - yes it would be lovely if he noticed, but my only advice is to do this completely for yourself. I've decided I'm going to bloody fancy myself from now on Grin. I bet the dress wasn't as bulge-y as you thought - we really are our own worst enemies and you've been doing lots of exercise so that's great!

Loli Would echo what everyone has said already - can you work out your BMI = 25 and aim for a little under that maybe? And then try maintaining that for a bit? You've been doing so well with food and exercise, try to see this as an opportunity rather than anything to be hard on yourself about.

Need Well done on another 1lb - wow Star! I am miles away from your weight, but I can understand not wanting weight to come off too quickly. At this rate you'll be at target in a few weeks!

Goat I don't have MFP premium either - it's really expensive! 1950 isn't terrible and at least you captured it all and you're back on track.

Sugar sorry to hear about the bad start to Sunday Flowers.

Simonsbeard wow 5lbs is brilliant Star! Well done!

Queen well done on having a good weekend and it's great that you're starting to feel the effects. Sorry about the family troubles Flowers

Terrible Sat and Sun for me calorie wise - 2080 on Saturday Blush including a Costa Toasted Mallow Hot Chocolate. It was worth it though - divine Grin. Even worse yesterday - 2160 - mainly due to a v calorie heavy pulled-pork pie for dinner. I can't believe I'm in the 2000s and not absolutely dying of embarrassment - but I'm kind of 'meh' about it Confused. Back on track today to 1165 but TOTM has arrived early - maybe I can blame that for not being v motivated.

Lolimax · 21/11/2016 18:02

Well done Need! I don't think I've ever been 7 stone in my life!! Weather here has been horrendous, my drive to work was plain nasty.

Not you can do this! No pain, no gain. Or some trite rubbish like that.
Queen I hope everything is ok, do you have to come far?
Not my BMI is currently 25.6 (it was 34!). I'm going to get to 24.9 so just under, which is about 11.12. Then I'm stopping. It's only 7lbs away and I'm in no rush to do it.
Bit of good news here, DD seems to be on the mend. She's even contemplating coming to Latino Fit with me tonight. The last 2 months all she's done is sleep so fingers crossed she's turned a corner. She's 20 next week, far too young to be suffering like this.

AnnieOnAMapleLeaf · 21/11/2016 18:08

Hi everyone! Well, I did my first week of calorie counting on MFP and I am a whopping 5.5lbs down! I am amazed!

I do not have any friends on MFP (loser). Please add me - I know there will come a day when I will need to see others' progress in order to stay the course. I am AnnieOnAMapleLeaf (duh).

Bathsheba3 · 21/11/2016 19:22

Sounds like a v good plan Loli. I have no idea what my BMI is. Or my TDEE thingy. Given I'm such a control freak I'm amazed I'm not obsessing about it all. I also know I have a tendency to set myself up for failure & a huge crash, so I am just going with the flow whilst I am able to.

So what torture was today then not? Wink. What a relief for you Loli. Hope your DD musters the motivation to head out this eve. Small steps. And no expectations. Sadly know all too well how tough it is. I actually think my metabolism is cranked up out of worry for my DD, which is why the weight is coming off quicker than expected.

Thanks for wise words Dawhead. My weight loss is all for me Wink.

A big hello to everyone else. I could be wrong Annie but I don't think any of us here share our MFP log-ins.

Bathsheba3 · 21/11/2016 19:34

V excited - I've worked out my BMI ! Less excited to learn it is 25.8, & I need to loose 9 - 10 lbs to reach 24.8 (10 12).

Needastrongone · 21/11/2016 20:18

Daw, your weekend intake isn't so bad. Damn those Costa's, they are too good to resist sometimes!

Ended the day 99 calories under, 1361, with a glass of wine.

I WILL run tomorrow.

Highly recommend the Jamie Oliver prawn and fennel risotto, the whole family declared a winner and very easy to make. Under 500 calories for a huge portion.

Not2bObvious · 21/11/2016 20:42

I survived my class! When I say survived I'm in bed with a hot water bottle on my knees and another under the small of my back(old gimmer alert) Dear sweet lord lamb of the baby Jesus & all the saints (dawg & sugar will get that 😉) it was intense but I kept thinking last chance workout a la Biggest Loser. I walked there & back so that added a 30 minute walk into my efforts. Dumb bells, kettle bells, abs, cardio - basically 55 minutes and destroyed. Thanks for all the encouragement, I was grand once I got there.
Sorry annie I don't share my mfp - quite frankly it's disturbing reading for me and I'm the one eating the contents. But feel free to share what you like here, you'll see most of us mention what we've milled through (dawg you're making my mouth water, you dawg you😁)
Sorry I can't do shout outs, wrists now collapsing...night lovelies

OP posts:
SesameSparkle · 21/11/2016 21:44

not thanks. Smile So glad to hear you made it to your workout and survived! Amazing work! You are going to look awesome at the end of this! Star

simon that's a good kick start for you, well done Star

bath thanks, hope it's a nice day for your run tomorrow. this calculator is what I use to work out my bmi.

queen well done on shrinking arms! Take care of yourself for the stressy stuff though Flowers

need yes, I was a 20 plus or minus a dress size for over 15 years - most of my adult life in fact. I would have weighed over twice what you are now! Glad you are enjoying the positive reactions from folk noticing. Star

dawhead thanks, given how on it you are with your counts, I'd put Saturday and Sunday down to a temporary dip, and at least you enjoyed those calories! Smile

loli a slow loss to take off the last 7lb sounds just the ticket. Good news about your dd. Smile

annie well done on the loss! Star

Well I'm all done on 1975 so 205 over. I think I ate a normal amount of food, nothing out the ordinary. Who knows if that means maintenance or not... We shall see ...

AnnieOnAMapleLeaf · 22/11/2016 01:57

Oh sorry, I didn't realize we didn't share MFP usernames here. I'm happy to stay on MN but I don't get on as often as I used to so I was thinking it would be helpful to have a few people on MFP as well. Totally understand though. Smile

Bathsheba3 · 22/11/2016 06:44

Still at 11 8.5 this morning. Relieved after sunday evening food-fest. In my running gear & heading out as soon as DC's leave for school. Or I could go right now? that would be unheard of for me...

Not2bObvious · 22/11/2016 07:28

I'm probably too late with the opinion, hopefully you're out there already but I would say go the minute you're able too.
Zonked this morning...

OP posts:
SesameSparkle · 22/11/2016 13:09

bath how was your run?

not do you have another gym session later, or are you all about the recovery today?

I lost another lb! Xmas Shock sorry not That's 2lb off now since deciding to maintain. No clue why I'm getting a maintenance whoosh. Also it's the second half of my cycle, with af due at the weekend, so I don't normally get this in a normal month.

Sugarandsalt · 22/11/2016 14:13

Hi everyone, I've been really busy with life in general so not on as much as usual! As usual I went off piste a bit at weekend and am pulling it in now. Not weighing in for a few days again.

You are all doing brilliantly! I'm feeling a bit of a failure at the moment with my repeated slip ups but I just really need to focus now, especially with party season coming up. I think I've got comfortable in my size 12s when I really should be a 10 (little frame, tiny hands and feet). But better than the 18-20 I was in before.

Made homemade Nutella (with pecans) at the weekend, it's amazing stirred into porridge.
