Hi all, thanks for such a warm welcome

Today has been OK, I have class today and train delays have me rushing around like a headless chicken tonight. We have a test tonight, so I'm guaranteed a banging headache by the end of the nightSad

Need I usually pack or buy a decent sized meal at work that lasts until the evening but I find that it isn't working anymore. Will have to see what small dinners I can bring with me

Well done bath on going down a size!!

Not2bObvious · 15/11/2016 18:07

Have a lovely dry evening bath😉 I tried to keep a straight face when the guy doing my measurements asked about drink🙄 Anyway he said none mon-thurs, then try make a bottle last over the weekend. He reckons that and the bread are the killers for the body fat, as suspected I'm 11.9 or 74kg. He's doing the same as the rest of us as he'd carb'ed up for 2 marathons and said his body fat had gone wayyy up. So then He said you're around 12 stone and I was like ahh stop but then he checked it and said just over 11.7, did my own maths which is 11.9 (are we bored yet with my arithmetic?)
Survived the class, just had griddled chicken & veg. Tired but pleased I'm all weighed & ready to go. So my goal is 69.5kg after 6 weeks (10.13) but I really want that on 3.5 weeks!
So that's my news for today, apologies for the me me me (again) just a bit excited to be on it like a car bonnet😉

Welcome Queen!
Haven't been on for 2 days and seemed to have missed loads! Hope everyone is ok.

Sugarandsalt · 15/11/2016 21:37

Well I may have had a large glass of Pinot Grigio after a long day at work. I may also just be on the way home now. On the upside even with the wine I'll be on 1250 once I've had dinner. 16700 steps so far.

I know I haven't eaten much yet as I'm pretty tipsy after 1 glass of wine!

Not2bObvious · 15/11/2016 22:42

I think you earned the vino sugar, that's a long couple of days. Gosh though you must be running on empty with that much walking and v little food (easy way to get a buzz out of 1 glass though😉)
Just under 1300 calories, no idea how much my class burned but I'm calling that money in the bank. Wracking my brains on how what to eat for the next week, I want next weeks weigh in to show a 2lb loss. And I've a lunch AND dinner out on Friday. Ffs, never go anywhere and then it's everything at the one time! Lunch I may be able to rearrange, dinner I'll have to manage. Oh well, it's a good complaint in a way, I get to spend time with a great friend and then family

Welcome Queen! Not you are really in the zone now, I'm going to do some exercise today and follow your example! Need you sound pretty fit to me. Anna be gentle to yourself, with a tiny baby. I gained lots of weight when breastfeeding DD so you are probably right to take it in hand though. Waves to Loli!

Back to 11st10. So looks like my maintenance week probably was just that and pmt pushed up the scales.

Traybaked Piri piri chicken this evening, overnight oats for breakfast and salad for lunch.

Bathsheba3 · 16/11/2016 07:55

That's good news sugar. Your work sounds very hectic Sad. Hope you enjoy it though. Only 3 lbs to go til 11 7. Another milestone.

Hats off to you Not. Hope you're not too sore today. sub 1300 cals brilliant.

Weight all over the place - am now 11 9.75. So down 1/4 lb from last week's low, so I'll take that!

Hello everyone else - keep going! It really does work Grin

Sugarandsalt · 16/11/2016 08:28

I do love it Bath. I have much more flexibility for the rest of the week so will be able to work from home this afternoon

Sugarandsalt · 16/11/2016 08:29

Posted too soon!

Well done on the new low! 11st 7 here we come!

Not2bObvious · 16/11/2016 10:36

That's great bath, that's makes 1.25 down from yesterday so you've done 5 days in 1 if you remember my breakdown of how to get 4 pound down in 15 days😉
I'm pretty achy but not crippled. Day off from the gym today, will go tomorrow & Saturday. Bought a load of steak, chicken, nuts and yogurt this morning. Going to portion out the poultry & meat so I have food ready to cook. It's only 6 weeks, I have to keep reminding myself! And if I eat clean for that long maybe I'll manage it over the silly season (whimpering pathetically) Yog & nuts for brekkie, Thai chicken soup for lunch, cottage pie for dinner

I just joined mfp and didn't realise there was a community! If anyone wants to add me up for moral support that'd be great :)

Annarose2014 · 16/11/2016 13:54

One thing I've noticed just in the 4 days I've joined is how little water I'm drinking these days. Blush

I drink approx a pint during dinner (we have a filter jug) but am alarmed that I no longer drink it the rest of the day. I think it's cos I'm mainlining tea in and water is just shoved out! Confused

Not2bObvious · 16/11/2016 14:01

You definitely need more water anna especially as you're bf. I used to have a glass on hand during feeds, that's what my hv suggested. Getting enough water in helps with appetite as well. I'm dreadful with water the last few weeks! When I get home shortly I'm going to get a few glasses in, your post reminded me 😁

Lolimax · 16/11/2016 18:39

Not, Bath, Sugar, Need can I apologise? You're always so supportive to me but although I try to keep up I'm on my phone and sometimes I do get confused and this thread moves quickly so please don't think I don't care.
Hello to anyone new I haven't said hello to!
Anna I do agree more water. On a good day I can manage 3litres (then spend the day rushing back and forwards to the loo!)
I've had a shitty few days at work, DD still isn't well and is quite down but I'm doing ok at the diet and exercise. I'm down to 12.6 so only 4lbs away from my 4 stone. I did promise DH I'd stop then but I'm not so sure now. I'm not actually sure when to stop, does anyone know how to set a final target?

Not2bObvious · 16/11/2016 19:03

Ahh now loli, no need to apologise, silly moo😘 So sorry to hear your dd is still feeling low but I think many of us know, yourself included, these things don't change overnight. And even then, there can be dark days. You're doing your best for her I'm sure, 1 day at a time. 4lb away from 4 stone, that's incredible. I'm sure your dh is just concerned you'll waste away. I know it takes huge restraint to lose weight and he's probably concerned you're obsessed (I think we all are😉) Maybe get to the 4 stone goal, see how you can maintain maybe and get used to being much lighter and what it takes to stay there. Give it a few weeks and then reassess?
I wanted a glass of wine soo bad tonight but I've settled for a v weak g&t. My lovely strong gin (47%!) actually has the calories on the back. 263 cals per 100ml, and I'm having about 20ml with slimline tonic. Also accidently bought low fat Greek yog, which was a huge no no on the bsd. But carbs/sugar are fine and I get twice as much for the same amount of cals. 200gr with 20gr of nuts chopped up only 245 cals and kept me going great. Under 1000 cals today even if I have another gin...hic😉

Not2bObvious · 16/11/2016 19:04

Oops a bit of that read wrong loli, I meant we're all obsessed - not we all think you're obsessed...jeez this gin is gooood

OP posts:
Lolimax · 16/11/2016 19:15

Ha ha Not I read it twice but guessed that's what you meant. However I AM obsessed...do you know me?

Not2bObvious · 16/11/2016 19:22

My poor long suffering dh has watched me obsess for years! Only difference is I'm rubbish at actually losing enough to make a difference so he's never had to worry😉 Although if he'd seen me earlier weighing bags of meat for the next week he may have raised an eyebrow!

OP posts:
SesameSparkle · 16/11/2016 20:05

We're all obsessed here even though I've been rubbish about updating. loli I said a couple of pages back I've decided to stop and maintain at 9st10. That gives me a bmi of just over 23. I could probably take another 0.5 to 1st off, but it's exactly 3st off for me since starting in April and it's enough for now. I look very different from where I started and I'm worried about maintaining.

Am still counting everything here. I'm already eating an extra 200cal a day and obsessing a lot over it all. I'm still weighing in at 9st10 too for now despite many efforts to derail things this week. So far so good I think.....

Sugarandsalt · 16/11/2016 20:26

Oh loli agree with the others- we are all obsessed. It gets a bit much at times and is hard on the poor husbands I think! I took a little break for a week as I was starting to feel guilty if I went over calories and was just struggling generally but I'm back to being a bit obsessed again!

Kitchen closed here at 1350cals. Happy!

goatkid · 16/11/2016 21:03

Hi all. Can I join? I've just got back into MFP. I apparently lost 5lb in my first week. However, I was veeeerrrry bloated so this will sadly all have been water. I also made the rookie error of doing my first weigh in at the very end of the weekend, so evening. I then did my weekly weigh in the morning. I was puzzling how it was possible to have lost so much when it clicked a day later Blush so my first weeks results are a bit of a write off. So I'm starting this week afresh on 11stone exactly and continue weighing first thing.

Looking forward to joining you all. This will hopefully be that extra bit of motivation.

Needastrongone · 16/11/2016 22:34

Hello goatkid. Come join the fun. I am being previous though, as I am new too!

Funny, I wasn't obsessed until a week or so ago, when I started MFP. Grin

No worries, Loli, I am only mildly offended every time you post...!!

So, a good day for me, but only 'cos I exercise like a loon.

Egg on toast.
Tuna bagel and an apple.
A crispbread lightly buttered as running and needed energy before.
2 cups of coffee with milk.
2 x chicken thigh with boiled rice, cooked with ginger, saffron, onion, olives, garlic, chicken stock, cumin, garlic pepper in SC.
2 glasses red wine (my indulgence)

Exercise was 3 miles dog walk and 10 miles with the running club, 3 of which done with a mate before and 7 with the club. All that exercise left me with 500 deficit, which is sweet FO really.

And 7.11 this morning, which is a 1lb off, but think water.

Not2bObvious · 17/11/2016 08:14

V welcome goat and simon, hope you have great success. I don't add anyone to my mfp simon these days but as you can see we all share a lot on here so that should help.
Oh dear, what happened last night can only be described as a derail. Watched the missing and did some nibbling - but since I had been so good the rest of the day I finished at 1700. Which would be a maintenance day for me. It's out of my system now and I've a class later today and my food all planned out so there will be no more slippage! My lunch tomorrow was cancelled so that means I've only my meal out tomorrow night to contend with. I've booked an 8am class on Saturday so I'll be doing a Cinderella tomorrow night😁 And as you lot are my witness, I am not going to be hungover 😡

OP posts:
Needastrongone · 17/11/2016 09:00

Back on track then Not. It's so hard to keep going sometimes isn't it? There are so few calories to contend with each day.

Avo on toast to brekkie. As anticipated, 7.12 this morning. I knew the loss was water.

Salad of some sort for lunch and then JO Mulligawtany (sp) soup for tea.

Boxercise class and 3 miles with the dogs for movement!
