1 stone - 12 weeks challenge

SanityAssassin · 27/08/2016 22:53

I have been much less active than normal recently and have managed to put on half a stone in the last couple of weeks and I can really feel it (I am small - although not so now!)

I am now the heaviest I have ever been except for pregnancy.

losing a stone would be great and I'm giving myself 12 weeks to do it
I was aiming for Nov 14 as the end of my challenge (12 weeks) so not to far off.

will be mostly low carbing (as I know it works for me) plus joining DH in his 5:2 fasting madness :)

I like to weigh daily (I know its frowned upon) but it helps me.

Weight week one: 12 stone 1lb

Weight week two: 11 stone 13lbs

My jeans feel looser already.

Hope everyone has taken their progress photo!

Kaisha02 · 05/09/2016 20:46

Weight week one: 12 stone 5 lb
Weight week two: 12 stone 3lb

I can't wait to break that 12 stone barrier again!

Donteatthekidssweets · 06/09/2016 05:36

2lb down, not too bad. Will carry on with 10,000 steps this week and try and up my exercise.

GreyandGrumpy48 · 06/09/2016 08:37

Two pounds down here to, which I'm happy with. I certainly wasn't perfect last week but it felt like an eating pattern I could sustain. I usually start full of enthusiasm and really cut down but then give up at the first hurdle so it's important that I make changes I can stick to long term

Coldest · 06/09/2016 15:08

Well I got terrible gastroenteritis so all weekend food is out of me Envy

Am laid up in bed not managing to eat much. Silver lining meh

RueDeDay · 06/09/2016 15:19

Hiya! Joining in, though I will start from next Monday... Have family visiting this week, then will spend some time on the weekend meal planning. Not looking forward to that first weigh-in, but really looking forward to fitting into my clothes again!!

OurBlanche · 08/09/2016 13:43

Oops! Forgot to weigh in, work got manic, still is.

But Week 2 = 2lb down.

Smugly, I haven't done anything particularly different other than switched form wine to beer Smile

Next week.... should be beter !!!!

Queenbean · 08/09/2016 14:04

Feeling really good about this all, have had only good days so far which I know is unlikely to last forever but will take it as it comes!

Have lost a few more lbs and the scales are showing almost 11 1/2 stone. I know much of that will be the quick rush of diet starting but still feels really good to be able to see results straight away

Did a before and after pic and have noticed loss around my waist already

So basically, all going well! Had a green smoothie for breakfast and cannellini bean stew with green veggies for lunch, will have a salad for dinner tonight and do a workout - arms and abs this evening

Coldest · 08/09/2016 17:27

Hi all my diet is going well. Have limited sugar a lot. Also reduced portions. Having trouble doing any exercise but have been more active hoping to have lost some at second weigh in on Monday

Coldest · 09/09/2016 22:57

Another good day here.

thissismyusername · 10/09/2016 16:27

this thread somewhat quiet. My scheme is disrupted since ds came home from his holiday and is now cooking food at times I don't eat or expecting me to cook dinners for him.

AmayaBuzzbee · 10/09/2016 16:43

Hi! I have had a pretty good week I think! I'm mainly doing this hypnotic gastric band thing without any specific diet, and it seems to be working! I've lost all cravings, and naturally eat smaller portions without much trying. Also don't feel the need to snack, which was a problem previously. Have managed some exercise too, so overall feeling fab!

My period is due on Monday and friends will be cooking dinner to us tomorrow (including wine), so Monday weigh-in will probably not look great. I feel great now though and I know I can pick things up again on Monday, so I'll be happy as long as I will weigh less than on starting date two weeks ago. Fingers crossed!

Coldest · 11/09/2016 00:12

Had some rice today both for lunch and dinner. Not sitting well with my intestinal flora. I m thinking of avoiding it from now on

AmayaBuzzbee · 12/09/2016 07:07

Weigh-in 3

Who is still in?

Starting weight was 61.4kg, last week 59.9kg and today 59.8kg.

That is a drop of 0.1kg from last week Grin

I am really happy with that, as its TOTM for me and usually I easily weigh 1-1.5kg more on the first couple of days. That means I may well have lost a 1kg since last week. Happy days!

glenthebattleostrich · 12/09/2016 09:04

Morning, well done on the loss amaya :)

My totm too and 1.5lb down. Very happy.

Got terrible munchies this morning which I'm trying to drown in water!

AmayaBuzzbee · 12/09/2016 09:19

Morning Glen, and well done! 1.5lb down whilst on your totm is fab, you'll probably have a nice drop on the scales next Monday!

Queenbean · 12/09/2016 14:01

I'm in! My weight loss is good, 11 1/2 stone down from 12 at the start.

Have had a bad weekend with both afternoon tea and curry on one day. However, I'm back on it and doing a HIIT workout this evening

CloudPirate · 12/09/2016 22:51

Hi again! Not doing too badly, down 5 lbs since starting (about a week and a half ago?) and it was period week last week so glad not to have eaten All The Food.

Have managed to go running twice (well, C210k so run/walk) and walk the other days have also not had a drink since starting which is unheard of for me!

Logging everything obsessively on MFP, seems to be working!

It's really helping checking on here and seeing everyone else sticking to it and getting results, I raise my glass of 2 calorie slimline tonic to you all (I imagine it has gin in, it helps!).

SanityAssassin · 13/09/2016 09:46

Weigh In #1 9 st 9.4
Weigh in #2 9 st 8.4
Weigh in #3 9 st 8.0

not much progress but to be fair I have not been at all good on the food front , lots of meals out and events going on. Own fault totally overbooking me and the kids for things the last couple of weeks. On the plus side I managed my first post injury run :) Only a couple of miles but felt good.

Queenbean · 13/09/2016 09:58

I really wish that I'd name changed before starting this as my progress pics look good already and I'd like to share some!

And then you can all be stunned when I'm 8 stone and hideously beautiful Grin

Kaisha02 · 13/09/2016 22:36

I seem to have put on 3lbs this week... Not sure how that's possible as diet hasn't changed much from last week except we had fish & chips and we are busy renovating every night. Grr. How annoying. I wanted to lose 3lb not gain them! Feel like it's backward steps to break that 12 stone barrier.

thissismyusername · 14/09/2016 07:19

Hi, I'm still in but I forgot to weigh in on monday.
anyhow, weight on Tuesday am 9st 11 - that means I've lost 5lbs so far. I can see a difference already which is great, didn't have a good weekend though, far to sedentary.

well done everyone and good luck for the next week

Coldest · 14/09/2016 15:33

Hi everyone weigh in on Monday is 182 so that's 3 lbs in 2 weeks. Cripplingly slow weight loss

Queenbean · 14/09/2016 17:22

Yeah but Coldest a loss is a loss! Slow and steady is the way forward

Coldest · 17/09/2016 00:26

I started the 100 squat challenge today. Just to get myself moving and into the habit of exercise. Took only 10 minutes
