1 stone - 12 weeks challenge

SanityAssassin · 27/08/2016 22:53

I have been much less active than normal recently and have managed to put on half a stone in the last couple of weeks and I can really feel it (I am small - although not so now!)

I am now the heaviest I have ever been except for pregnancy.

losing a stone would be great and I'm giving myself 12 weeks to do it
I was aiming for Nov 14 as the end of my challenge (12 weeks) so not to far off.

will be mostly low carbing (as I know it works for me) plus joining DH in his 5:2 fasting madness :)

I like to weigh daily (I know its frowned upon) but it helps me.

I'm in. Starting tomorrow morning. 1stone would be perfect. Thanks all for the inspiration.

Silvertap · 29/08/2016 21:16

Good first day here. 5 mile walk with the family & stuck to mfp. Am office based all tomorrow so will try and fit in a run tomorrow eve.

Anyone watch the Jo wicks body coach program on C4?

AmayaBuzzbee · 29/08/2016 21:20

Sanity - looks like we are weight twins! Fingers crossed we'll be a stone lighter twins in 12 wks! 😄

Queenbean · 29/08/2016 21:27

I've done a whole week's worth of meal planning, plus my first workout

On the scales at exactly 12 stone and size 14. Want to be 10.5 stone and size 12.

Let's do this!!

thissismyusername · 29/08/2016 21:39

I swam for an hour today and used MFP for the first time. So many choices filling in calories eaten, I found that a bit hard. I am below my target calories but have eaten too many sugars so I guess that it my high fruit and veg consumption. I am trying to low carb but will make sure I eat more protein and carb tomorrow.

efeslight · 29/08/2016 22:08

Managed to reduce the amount i eat today. A banana, apricots, peppers throughout the day and half a pizza for a birthday celebration this evening, followed by one scoop of ice cream, which maybe i should have resisted.
No exercise sadly- am going to dig out my fitness dvds and also start again on my c25k.
Will aim for half an hour of exercise every day.

MumboNumber5 · 29/08/2016 22:11

Day 1: 3 mile run and not going over the mfp calorie count.
This must continue (although it probably won't!)

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 29/08/2016 22:26

I'm also in need of dropping a stone! In going to start saying no to all the food in the office and making sure I get at least 12,500 steps in a day on my Fitbit and see how I go for week one.
Starting weight 10st11 which is horribly depressing :(

Coldest · 29/08/2016 23:07

Hi all would like to join too. Have got 3 stone to lose. But want to set small targets. Have got a baby and toddler so can't get time to exercise. Has.to be through healthy diet and Littke bits of exercise where possible

fruitstick · 29/08/2016 23:14

Can I join too?

I can't start til next week when kids return to school but I am now heavier than I was even when pregnant Blush

SanityAssassin · 29/08/2016 23:35

I have bought low carb stuff. I have done squats & press ups.
my running buddies are on the case nagging me to get back out which is probably just as well as I'm supposed to run a half marathon next month.
First proper y tomorrow :) Good luck every one.

Lolimax · 30/08/2016 09:20

Oh and couldn't weigh in yesterday. So today I'm 14.1....

Niklepic · 30/08/2016 13:21

Bugger, forgot to post yesterday but I did weigh myself. I'm 10 stone 5.

I've got MFP downloaded again and my fitbit is charged and on my wrist. I really really want to eat crap but I will resist!

LostSight · 30/08/2016 13:21

First weigh in this morning and I'm 13st 6, a bit of a shock. I'm 5'7", so technically top end of 'overweight'.

I'm using 'My Fitness Pal' with my Fitbit.

Kaisha02 · 30/08/2016 16:32

I'm heading home from work and it's hot so I really cannot be bothered to "exercise" when I get home. Can't believe I feel that way on day 1! Someone motivate me please.

GreyandGrumpy48 · 30/08/2016 17:26

I'm in 12 5 this morning which is the worst for a long while. I'm using my Fitbit and listening to a hypnosis app. On holiday in mid November so a stone off by then would be a great start

2kids2dogsnosense · 30/08/2016 18:49

Weighed in - 10st 5lbs.

Would like to get down to 9 st 7lbs (I'm 5'2'').

Had a long walk with the dogs this morning, then ruined everything by devouring a huge quantity of caffe latte ice cream.

Now I'm tired and I want to sleep.

Niklepic · 30/08/2016 20:49

Just finishing logging my calories and am under 1200 for the first time in ages. I've also walked 3.5 miles in total. Feeling quite proud of myself for day 1.

I've now got to avoid the 9.30pm snacking urge so planning on running a bath shortly then going to bed. I foresee a lot of early nights Wink

supercaliforniasurfer · 30/08/2016 20:54

Ooh I have mfp don't have any friends on it tho - how do you do that (and what can you see of me?) just my username or anything else too - don 't want to give out my personal details!

Queenbean · 30/08/2016 20:55

I've had a really good days eating.

Was late to work so ended up having a coffee for breakfast, chicken in ratoutouille and green salad for lunch, blueberries and strawberries for a snack, omelette with green beans and broccoli for dinner following by an apple and decaf coffee

Stepped on the scales and down a few lbs already. V pleased.

Lolimax · 30/08/2016 20:59

I'm on 900 calories today, eaten 3 meals and I'm full. Suggestions please? Shall I leave it at that (I've also done an hours Zumba) or have a snack that brings me over the 1000?

Niklepic · 30/08/2016 21:14

Not sure supercalifornia I.'ve got no friends on there either. I know there's no info on my profile apart from my username.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 30/08/2016 21:37

Bagsy joining. I am as fit as a fiddle, do loads of gym and weights and seem to be unable to get rid of a tummy. I can't do 5:2 on doctor's orders, and Crohn's means I sometimes can't eat and am very slim. This has not happened for a few years as I'm in a well patch. Want to drop back into 8-10 clothes rather than mostly a 12 with a few 10s.....

I don't do 'weight' - it doesn't matter as long as trousers fit. I might do inches on waist/hips/bust. The humungous bust needs to shrink!

I do MFP but find the food add-er very annoying.

5ft 7in, 10-12, 32H ish. Want to be the same height Grin but 8-10 and 30FF again.

Donteatthekidssweets · 30/08/2016 22:07

Weigh in this morning 9st13.5lb Shock. New Fitbit arrived, not in time to use buy ready for tomorrow. Did my shred video and ate well.
