1 stone - 12 weeks challenge

SanityAssassin · 27/08/2016 22:53

I have been much less active than normal recently and have managed to put on half a stone in the last couple of weeks and I can really feel it (I am small - although not so now!)

I am now the heaviest I have ever been except for pregnancy.

losing a stone would be great and I'm giving myself 12 weeks to do it
I was aiming for Nov 14 as the end of my challenge (12 weeks) so not to far off.

will be mostly low carbing (as I know it works for me) plus joining DH in his 5:2 fasting madness :)

I like to weigh daily (I know its frowned upon) but it helps me.

Letmesleepalready · 29/08/2016 06:57

Today: 74.6kg
Target: 60kg

I'm hoping to do 5:2 too, as I've been binge eating and put back all the weight I lost by breastfeeding.

MamaWren · 29/08/2016 07:40

Can I join too please?
I have so little will power and need some motivation!
Weighing in this morning at 64kg and want to be around 58kg.
Going to do 5:2 & use the fitbit app to track.

Donteatthekidssweets · 29/08/2016 08:04

Can I join too please? I seem to have put the half stone I lost before my holiday back on. I'm so cross with myself as I worked hard to loose that. Anyway a stone and I'll be back in my old clothes properly first time in about a year. MFP for me starting on 1400 calories a day. Might watch my carbs too.

glenthebattleostrich · 29/08/2016 08:38

Well that was unpleasant!

14st 2. Officially fat. The fitbit is charged, healthy breakfast prepped and run booked in for this evening and Friday evening. 1 stone gets me back into size 14s before Christmas.

Food for today will be:
Breakfast - coconut yogurt, green tea
Lunch - burger and salad
Tea - pork fillet with salad

I've even stocked loads of healthy, gluten free and low carb snacks for while we are away.

Have a great day everyone.

thissismyusername · 29/08/2016 08:39

64.7kg / 10st 2 (oh the shame!)
Im going to reduce carbs use MFP and up my exercise -
From today!
Good Luck everyone

prokupatuskrakedatus · 29/08/2016 08:47

Can I join, too?
5'6" - 74 kg - mid fifties

After 2 DC, 1 cancer treatment, 1 thyroid problem and lots of cake and chocolate I need to loose at least 1 stone.
Starting today.
I'm going to turn sweets, cakes and meat back into the luxury / Sunday items they used to be when I was young in the 70ties.

And now I've told you, I've got to stick to it Smile

SnakeWitch · 29/08/2016 08:48

Hello, may I join in? I need to lose at least a stone and I can't seem to get into the right mindset.

I really need a lifestyle change I think, rather than a diet. I don't like the way I look but I also have type 1 diabetes which I'm not controlling too well and I hurt my back last week so I'm starting to feel I need to take much better care of my body or it will let me down sooner rather than later.

My plan is a Mediterranean style diet and more gym.

Last weigh in I was 10st 8lb and I'm too short for it! I would love to be just over 9 again. I don't have working scales but will get some and report back.

Good luck to us all, we can do it!

Peonie7654 · 29/08/2016 08:48

I'm in.
I fell of the excercise wagon a few months ago. I felt onto the wine wagon 😉.

I have a significant birthday this year and I need to look amazing for it.

So I need to eat a bit less, excercise a lot more and cut out the wine.

Weigh in is 8 stone 11. I have a tiny frame though so a fair bit of mush. I only need to loose half a stone I think.

AmayaBuzzbee · 29/08/2016 08:58

Hello to newbies (though as this is starting today, we are all newbies!) 😄

Lets hope we can all check in on the final weigh-in day of 14th November a stone lighter.

I am doing a combo of low-carbing/some fasting and mfp (oh, and the hypnotic weight-loss app for experiment too 😄 ) . Also getting back to running, gym and some exercise DVDs.

Good luck everybody!

FanDabbyFloozy · 29/08/2016 09:06

Hello all, I'd love to join you and think 12 weeks should be doable. I have about 2 stone to lose but would reel great with one down by mid-Nov.

I'll be reducing carbs, esp refined carbs like bagels etc.

Looking forward to chatting to you all.

efeslight · 29/08/2016 09:10

I would love to join.
I am 74 kilos, 5ft 2.
Will be fasting until midday in the week, and will start to listen to my weight loss app again- tried it before and really seems to help, lost a few kilos, sadly put them back on. Its the easy loss app.

Lolimax · 29/08/2016 09:12

Morning can I join? Away from home at the moment (Carfest South, been amazing!) so don't know my exact weight but I was 14st 1lbs on Friday. I've lost 2 stone since April and my next target is to be 13 stone by Christmas. I'm 5ft 8" and now a size 16, I'm aiming for 12stone 7lbs by next Summer. I low-carb and MFP.

MumboNumber5 · 29/08/2016 09:20

I want to lose half a stone in 6 weeks so am in! Have charged Fitbit, renounced booze for 6weeks and downloaded mfp.

sami2885 · 29/08/2016 09:20

Morning, can I join?

Ive got a little more than a stone to lose but this would be a good start! I had ivf last year and was already overweight. I lost enough to get my treatment, but then put it all back on and more whilst pregnant. I put on 4 1/2 stone. I lost 2 as soon as I had my little girl. 6 weeks ago I weighed 15st. I'm now 14st 5lb. Just needing some extra motivation to get me in the right mindset!

Thanks ladies x

MumboNumber5 · 29/08/2016 09:22

Questi0ns · 29/08/2016 09:24

Yep count me in. Low carbing and doing 5:2 as well. I have lost a stone over the last 60 days and need to keep it up!!!

MidnightRunner87 · 29/08/2016 09:30

Morning all can I join please? I've always been quite small built even after having my two children but found when I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia and out on medication I put 1.5 stone on within a couple of months. I'm off the medication now (took myself off, am just managing my pain/fatigue with rest and painkillers). I've managed to loose 12lbs thus far but have been struggling to stick to my healthy eating, plus I'm having a flare up so exercises has been a struggle the past couple of weeks. Camping this week too so eating more sausages and bread than I would normally allow myself.

Monday morning weigh in: 9 st 1lb

Aim: 8 st 5lb

Silvertap · 29/08/2016 09:35

Right. I'm up at 10st 2. I'm 5ft 5 & 10 is normally my limit. I'd like to be 9.2 but will settle for 9st7.

Have a good Monday everyone.

Kaisha02 · 29/08/2016 09:35

Morning weigh in 12 St 5lb... I was 11 St 0 a year ago... How awful! Currently weighing a size 12/14.
11st 5lb is my usual healthy weight and makes me a size 10/12 so that's my goal.

2kids2dogsnosense · 29/08/2016 09:39

Wait for me! Wait fr me!

I need to get a stone off too, and have plateaud - and that mans I eat out of despair, and then un-plateau the wrong way!

I'll nip down to the health centre for an accurate reading (we have a machine there that gives you weight, BMI (the bastard), pulse rate and blood pressure - the only problem is you can't talk for the four minutes you're on it.It's hell being quiet for that length of time.

But then I'll join you.

IBelieveTheEarthIsFlat · 29/08/2016 09:44

Me too. Just had breakfast so not weighing in till tomorrow. Eating healthy, no crisps no wine, gym daily

Good luck all

Peonie7654 · 29/08/2016 10:23

My weigh in was incorrect, stupid uneven floor.
I weight nine stone. So half a stone to loose and inches of flab.

I started today with a three mile run. It was a lovely start to the day I feel energised.
We have a family hike this afternoon, so a good day for excercise, just need to watch the food consumption now.

supercaliforniasurfer · 29/08/2016 11:26

Morning... Right weighed in at 10st 1lb today would like to lose a stone ...

Lapinlapin · 29/08/2016 20:07

Peonie I started the day too with a 3 mile run. After a terrible night's sleep it did help give me more energy and also I then wasn't hungry until lunchtime so skipped breakfast.
Think I've done ok for my first day, but have started feeling hungry now. Dinner wasn't all that long ago Blush, so I'm sure it's partly my bad habit of evening snacking.
