1 stone - 12 weeks challenge

I have been much less active than normal recently and have managed to put on half a stone in the last couple of weeks and I can really feel it (I am small - although not so now!)

I am now the heaviest I have ever been except for pregnancy.
losing a stone would be great and I'm giving myself 12 weeks to do it
I was aiming for Nov 14 as the end of my challenge (12 weeks) so not to far off.

will be mostly low carbing (as I know it works for me) plus joining DH in his 5:2 fasting madness :)


I like to weigh daily (I know its frowned upon) but it helps me.

I completely forgot that I signed on here, but ... I'm almost there.
2 kg to go and I'm back at my preferred wight.

I've done half of my christmas baking and eaten almost none of it. Yay.

Well done glen! Yes, I'm up for continuing in January. I am very close to target weight, so the challenge will be to very slowly lose the last half stone and maintaining it. I also need to seriously tone up and improve my general fitness levels, so that will be tne target from January onwards.

We should probably try go with setting up a personal target month by month. It'll be easier to focus for 4 weeks at a time than it was for 12!

Good luck for getting where you'd like to be by Christmas, and I'll join you for the journey to improvement in January!

Final weigh in of 13st 3.5, so close!!

Feeling quite pleased, but totally lost focus toward the end, particularly the last couple of weeks. I'm going to get below 13 before Christmas then maintain over the holidays. I will be at my target of 11 by my birthday in August.

Well done Amaya. Shall we start again in January?!

Last weigh-in is at 58.6kg. I got half way there, so happy with this. I think I'll try to maintain here till January, and then drop the rest after the holiday period! :-)

Apologies, completely forgot to weigh in on Monday! It's been a disasterous week and I am now 58.5kg, so have also put on a couple of pounds.

Two weeks to go, I don't seem to be able to refocus properly so I think my aim will now be to stay where I am (roughly half way), and then drop the rest after Christmas.

I will hang in on here for another two weeks to complete this though and to keep you company glen! Any loss from the starting point is victory! 😃

Well half term was a disaster, 2 lb back on so still 4lb to go. 2 weeks until D day so time to refocus and hit target.

I'm also now on a loose 1 stone by Christmas thread, so going for a big push over the next 7 weeks.

Plus side, I was out for an anniversary dinner with DH last night (I'm blaming the 2lb on the huge desert and cocktails!) and I wore a dress I've not fitted into for over a year, so it is working on pulling in the old waistline :)

Well done Glen! I stayed the same this week, having a very stressful time at the moment (nothing bad, just stressful!), which means wine is being consumed and hence weight not shifting. I'm going to have to rein myself in or I will start gaining again!

Seeing you doing so well is very motivating, only 3 weeks to go so I'll try my best to refocus! :-) Thank you Glen, keep going! x

13 stone 4 today. Another 2 lb off and 2 lb to go to 1 stone loss. Working hard this week to try to get the last 2 off and down into the twelves by November :)

Argh! That was completely my fault, too much wine over the weekend and hey presto, major water retention!

I'm here still. I forgot to log in yesterday but I'm still trying.
my weigh in 7, yesterday was 9stone 4lb lost 1.5 lb in the last week so Im slowing down, but I have lost a stone! Im planning on getting down to 9 then hopefully keeping to a healthy eating plan.

I am still here! And here are my stats:

Weigh in 1: 61.4kg

I am very happy as it's totm for me, I actually weighed 57.2kg on Thursday!! Couldn't believe my eyes! It's been a very long time since I saw numbers like this on my scales! I will be super excited when I see number 56, followed by any number! Hopefully within the next couple of weeks 😃

I have completely fallen of the wagon exercise wise (too many other things going on), but the virtual gastric band hypnosis seems to be working a treat!

Oh, I also sarted body brushing a few times a week (5min before morning shower), and that seems to be helping massively!

But coldest, you have lost 4 lb in 5 weeks. That is still a loss.

And I stayed the same one week, then had a brilliant loss.

Didn't manage as much exercise this week as I'd planned and hit the wine a bit too much so not expecting much this week.

Hi all.
Weighing in at 9st 5.5 today, Ive lost .5 of a pound this week! At least it didn't go up.
I fell off the wagon a bit, had two social events, unheard of for me, so I relaxed a bit. Then a bad day at work on Friday wrong footed me for the weekend. Still, well done everyone, Im sure we will reach our goals.

Here are my stats:

So, a loss of 0.1kg! 😄

I am not complaining, a loss is a loss! I have been far too relaxed this week, put in zero effort (and too much wine!). I 100% expected to be up 1kg from last week, so was amazed at this loss, even if small!

This is great motivation, I really want to do this and get to target weight by 14/11! I feel I can do it, just need to get a grip and focus!

Hi all,

Won't be able to weigh in tomorrow so did it today.

Week 1 - 14 2
Week 2 - 14 0.5
Week 3 - 13 13
Week 4 - 13 13
Week 5 - 13 11.4
Week 6 - 13 6

5.5 lb off this week. Total loss of 10lb so far.

I'm probably loosing another half a pound doing my happy dance around the bathroom.

16:8 is going brilliantly, I resisted cake on Friday morning and stottie (my all time favourite food in the world ever) yesterday at MIL's.

Feeling incredibly motivated this week. Got a couple of exercise classes booked in for this week.

Monday boot camp, Tuesday zumba, Wednesday boot camp and running tonight and Friday. My supermarket shop is booked for tomorrow, off to the farm shop to stock up on yummy local meats and veg :)
