1 stone - 12 weeks challenge

SanityAssassin · 27/08/2016 22:53

I have been much less active than normal recently and have managed to put on half a stone in the last couple of weeks and I can really feel it (I am small - although not so now!)

I am now the heaviest I have ever been except for pregnancy.

losing a stone would be great and I'm giving myself 12 weeks to do it
I was aiming for Nov 14 as the end of my challenge (12 weeks) so not to far off.

will be mostly low carbing (as I know it works for me) plus joining DH in his 5:2 fasting madness :)

I like to weigh daily (I know its frowned upon) but it helps me.

collarsand I hate it when that happens. Binging on normal foods. Usually happens to me when I binge on bread of all things.

efeslight · 02/09/2016 13:23

Not doing too badly here, managed to get to 73 kilos this morning, down from 74, not much but a start. Am weighing myself most mornings.
I havent weighed less than 70 kilos for years, so this is my aim.
Keep it up everyone!

Niklepic · 02/09/2016 23:30

This morning I was 2lb down. I've completely gone mad on bread today though. 4 slices of fruit toast and 2 slices of thick white bread with butter and peanut butter. Also had 4 bourbon biscuits and a cereal bar.

So disappointed with myself.

thissismyusername · 03/09/2016 20:45

If its any consolation Niklepic I had a bad day today as well. First of all I missed the pool, so no exercise, then I cooked a dinner and it turned out to be super high in calories, i was pissed off so ate it all anyway. Ho Hum

Coldest · 03/09/2016 23:29

Had a bad day too. Subway for lunch and invited to a meal out . also invited for meal out tmrw

AmayaBuzzbee · 04/09/2016 06:54

One day to go before our second weigh-in!

I could have been better this week, but overall I feel I haven't done too badly. Managed to exercise a few times, and have eaten somewhat less than normally.

Haven't weighed myself since Monday, so will be interesting tomorrow! I'd be happy with 1kg/2lbs drop. I'd expect that to be mainly water loss, and from then on 1lb a week would do :-) Fingers crossed!

Lapinlapin · 04/09/2016 07:49

Amaya I feel the same as you. Exercis- wise I think I've done quite well this week. Food could have been better (had a takeaway one night!) BUT I haven't eaten as many snacks or sugary stuff (my downfall). I have had a quick peek on the scales and I'm also hoping for a 2lb loss. Fingers crossed!

MumboNumber5 · 04/09/2016 08:54

I have lost one, whole, entire pound. Bit disappointing, if not surprising.

2kids2dogsnosense · 04/09/2016 12:38

I've put 2 on!

How? I mean, HOW?

moomoo222 · 04/09/2016 14:52

I went to a Legs Bums and Tums class on Friday - can barely move today! Also weighed myself and am too ashamed to admit it (even here, which is ridiculous I know). Well done to those sticking with it & onwards and upwards to those who've slipped up. I really really need to do this...

AmayaBuzzbee · 05/09/2016 05:46

Weigh-in #2:

29.8: 61.4kg (9st 9.4)
Today: 60.3kg (9st 7)
Target by 14.11: 55kg (8st 9.3)

Loss of just over 1kg (2lbs).

I'm happy with my gentle start, onwards and downwards! Smile

LostSight · 05/09/2016 05:52

Weigh-in 2

13st 4, so 2lb loss since last Monday. Also a gentle start then. I must be more careful at the weekend.

glenthebattleostrich · 05/09/2016 05:52

Lost 1.2lb this week.

Not surprising as junk food crept into the basket at the weekend and I've done apart no exercise.

Onwards and downwards

Lolimax · 05/09/2016 05:52

Morning! First weigh in and I'm 3lbs down. 14 stone 1lbs last Monday, 13 stone 12 today. Happy with that. I've done loads of exercise and kept under my calories (apart from a night out) and I've worked out with the total weight loss of 32lbs I've actually lost 15% of my body weight! Now on target to be 13 stone by Christmas.

AmayaBuzzbee · 05/09/2016 06:35

Well done Lolimax!

thissismyusername · 05/09/2016 07:31

weigh in 2 : 10st
I've lost 2lb ! I'm very pleased with that.
If this pace continues I will have lost the stone by week 12.

well done everyone, keep going

Lapinlapin · 05/09/2016 07:33

Well done Amaya, lost, Loli and glen.
I've lost 3 pounds, so happy with that.

MamaWren · 05/09/2016 07:54

Having made no effort I have lost nothing! Too many picnics with sandwiches. But I will make a proper effort this week now school is back and I have a routine.

Coldest · 05/09/2016 09:53

After a terrible terrible weekend Monday is a new day and new week

Coldest · 05/09/2016 09:55

Despite the gluttony at the weekend I have lost 1 pound

SanityAssassin · 05/09/2016 12:08

Weigh In #1 9 st 9.4
Weigh in #2 9 st 8.4

1 pound!! actually given the amount of eating out and no exercise that has happened over the last week I'm reasonably happy with this!

Meal out again tomorrow though! then kids back to school and normality can be resumed :)

MidnightRunner87 · 05/09/2016 12:58

Weigh in #2 : 9st

Weigh in#1 : 9st 1lb

So I've lost 1lb, not much but I'm happy with it today as was camping most of the week so are way more bread than I would normally and drank a few lagers too so I thought I'd have gained not lost.

Starting well today so far, a falafel wrap for lunch from greggs and having a quorn stir fry with corgette noodles for tea so fingers crossed!

CloudPirate · 05/09/2016 14:27

2.5 lb down since Thursday - a bit disappointing as usually I lose a lot in the first week or so just due to bloating/ water weight.

However as long as the number is going down and not up I'm happy... I have a bad habit of being really impatient, pushing a diet so I'm constantly waaaay too hungry and not being able to maintain it, so am hoping I can get into a more sustainable way of eating etc today.

Not done much exercise over weekend either, just a couple of relatively short dog walks, so hopefully that will make a difference if I get cracking with it.
