One week down and 2.5lbs down. Not massive but I'm pleased.

Weekend was ok, I did have a couple of cheeky glasses of wine but only strayed massively over my allowance on one day.

Not2bObvious · 27/09/2016 07:40

Well done over, that's a great start. Nice one on the bloat dispersal hope
Down to 11.3.6 from 11.5.2 yesterday. Only .6 up from Friday which is excellent (in my head at least) Rubbish sleep after being woken by child who thought they'd wet the bed - hadn't thankfully but the disturbed sleep has me cross eyed this morning. Hip still nagging, it's going to love bc this avo!

StewardsEnquiry · 27/09/2016 07:48

Down 3/4 of a lb to 11.7 and a quarter this morning. Have a good day planned - good luck everyone!

Well done on the losses over, Not & Stewards ! Sorry you are pooped Not. Thankfully none of that palava in my house any more.

I was all tucked-up at 10.15, and slept soundly til alarm went at 6.15. Am sleeping really well at the moment - especially as it is real natural sleep, and not wine-induced - but not feeling energised at all. Actually anxiety levels are rather high tbh. Not sure why - work busy but manageable, DD's MH stable at the moment, and DS in v good form. Hummm....

I've lost my weekend bloat, so down to last week's low. No chance of loosing 2.5 lbs by end of the week is there?

Can't tell you lot how much support you are giving me - sniff sniff. Thanks all

Not2bObvious · 27/09/2016 08:16

That's brilliant stew! Back on track nicely. Oh bath, I know that feeling, it sucks. Maybe it's cause things are on an even keel, you're subconciously waiting for life to kick off. No idea how to help but go with (feel the fear & all that jazz) I'm in awe of your restraint with not drinking, maybe that's part of it - you had a little crutch that helped you check out from time to time, now you're checked in all the time. I'm waffling & not helping. Hum 2.5 but Friday and I want 3.4, what you reckon a foot or an arm off - I think that's about the only way😁

Sugarandsalt · 27/09/2016 08:20

Well done on the losses Hope NotOver and Stew. And bath. I'm back down to 12st1lb. So close!

Also had a restless night. 2 year old has a cold and dry cough kept waking her. So she came to sleep on me. She's in great form, not sick at all, just stuffed up. Thankfully I'm on my own time with no human interaction required today!

Plan for today- breakfast- 2 scrambled eggs with a little feta, 1 turkey rasher and spinach (315cals). Dinner will be some cod, topped with a teaspoon of tapenade wrapped in Parma ham, with lots of roast veg (it's looking a little tired so getting used tonight!)(450cals). That leaves 550 for lunch and snacks.

Bathsheba3 · 27/09/2016 09:53

Your dinner sounds yum Sugar. You are so close to the 11's - I'll meet you there soon enough! Hope your DD gets better soon.

D'you know Not, I think you are right, as usual - you are always so spot on with your advice, and you do speak some very wise words. I was rather anxious last night too & ended up going out for a power-walk with the dog for 40mins, rather than sitting at home stewing, wondering what I could eat. Perhaps it was seeing my DH pour a glass of red, & realise that as much as I like/want/need, I am better off in my head and in my weight without it. I am far less moody, and so much more productive too. And the zero sugar is good too. No cravings at all!

I WANT A NEW BODY - AND I'M GOING TO GET ONE.

Sugarandsalt · 27/09/2016 10:01

Thanks Bath. I've been very close to the 11s for months. I feel like this is the hurdle I need to cross!! I put a lot of thought into my dinners because I love cooking, and if I have a large tasty dinner I don't feel deprived! Also it distracts me from adding the ingredients that make all food taste best (butter and cream!).

Not2bObvious · 27/09/2016 11:14

I've also been using activity to keep me away from food, it had the wonderful knock on effect of working towards your goal. You're really doing so good, pat yourself on the back😉
I agree on the dinners sugar, it's lovely to know you've something tasty to look forward to. I've just mopped the floor so I can't get to the kitchen! Housework as a weightloss tool, such a domestic goddess😇

coragreta · 27/09/2016 12:25

So I'm really ill. (Sorry if tmi) Have thrown up everything I ate yesterday and so far today have risked half a banana. Feeling awful.
I looked at the chat thread and thought that people don't eat very much. Next to no snacks! Made me feel a little depressed about what I'll be able to eat when I'm at goal and trying to maintain.

Overtiredbackagain · 27/09/2016 12:40

I'm having a really emotional day and I'm trying really hard not to grab for something to eat I shouldn't Chocolate Sad

Not2bObvious · 27/09/2016 13:24

Try distract yourself over - anything that keeps you away from the junk. It won't solve anything and make you feel worse in the long term. Drink a glass of water, brush your teeth. Strengthening your resolve is something that needs effort.
Poor cora, that sounds awful, keep hydrated at the very least. Little sips of water if you can manage it.
My lunch was rotten. Rank/mank. Bloody courghetti is gack. So I've had about half a chicken breast. I'm not too hungry, but will have a few almonds shortly as I need some energy to do my class. Having a coffee & a read of my book for 10, then back to work

Sugarandsalt · 27/09/2016 13:28

Not I wish I could convince myself to mop floors as a weight loss tool! DH does the floor mopping (I do the cooking and am a bit messy making the mopping ever harder!

Cora sorry to hear you are ill. I had a horrible gastroenteritis just before the summer, it's really miserable. I find people on the eating threads here can get a bit competitive about sizes and how little they eat so I'd take it all with a pinch of salt.

Overtired I'm very definitely a stress eater too. Today I'm exhausted and really want to eat. Held out so far, had 250cals for lunch and went for a short walk. Have apples and some cashew nuts here at my desk. Do your best, try to do or have something else (walk, some fruit/carrots/celery or something relaxing if possible)

Bathsheba3 · 27/09/2016 14:02

Poor you over. Agree with what has been said. Do you have any lavender oil handy? Something comforting to attack your smell-senses rather than your taste buds?

Oh no cora - that's not nice at all. Hope you recover v soon

Overtiredbackagain · 27/09/2016 14:12

Hahaha Bath I thought you were going to tell me to drink the oil?? I've had my lunch now, work is keeping me occupied, so I wouldn't even have time to go and buy anything anyway.

I feel slightly calmer. Just need a good rant!

Bathsheba3 · 27/09/2016 17:58

ha ha! Grin Rant away!

Not2bObvious · 27/09/2016 18:52

Really glad you didn't have the opportunity to cave over, consider your resolve strengthened😉 I survived bc, halfway done, only 3 more classes before my hols. It was tough though, tabata style. Surely I'll be skinny after another 3 classes?? It's 11 days to go so clearly I'll be like a waif (as if!) Just soaked myself in a bath, and the kitchen is firmly closed. Should make it around 1200. Dinner was lush after disastrous lunch, I think I might have cried if that was boak too. Hoping I have no little visitors tonight

Bathsheba3 · 27/09/2016 19:58

Hope you burned & sweated it off Not - every little bit helps. Kitchen closed here at 1186. Dinner was salmon fillet with veg. Not so tasty when you are watching rest of family eat steak pie, new potatoes and veg. Admittedly pie only served 3. Plus I had big lunch (2 eggs, spinach & rye bread, as opposed to the 1 egg).

Sugarandsalt · 27/09/2016 21:22

Bath I love salmon, and your lunch sounds really tasty and filling. Overtired glad you are feeling calmer, rant away online! And well done on not caving!

Not I'm sure you'll be reed like after 3 more sessions. I'm glad your dinner was nice. Hope both our little people sleep tonight! DD was wrecked, conked out at 730.

I've just finished my dinner. Was starving when I got home so had some dates with almond butter. Did day 9 level 1 30day shred, then had my cod/tapenade/Parma ham with roasted carport, parsnip and butternut squash. It was delicious. So kitchen has now closed at 1250,14000 steps and 30 day shred. Ordered a skirt and top in the whistles sale, skirt is stretchy so should just about fit me and hopefully as I get smaller it will be ok.

Well done keep, great to hear you're feeling the benefits

bath good to hear you're feeling a bit better

Well done everyone on the weight losses Grin

aww cora I hope you're feeling a bit better

sugar your tea sounds lovely!

Kitchen closed at 1200 today. Actually ate breakfast this morning - 1 scrambled egg on 2 slices of toast (butter scraped on and off) and ketchup amd a glass of milk (329). Dinner was potato pancakes (354) with 4 aero bubbles to follow (64). Tea was a lidl cheese twist thing (188). Ate porridge and 1 teaspoon of sugar (120) for supper. Just had 2 tuc biscuits (144). So an ok day calorie wise but not too good snack wise - been a hungry day but I should have gone for fruit more really. Hoping to go to a aqua aerobics class tomorrow evening.

One thing I noticed about the thread on chat was that most people seemed to be in the bottom bit of healthy bmi - everyone has different ideas of what they want their body to be obviously but my healthy weight would see me between 7 and a half stone and 10 stone 2 so that's a big difference! I think healthy weight varies so much Smile I was shocked at how little people ate - if I ate that every day I'd be hungry all the time I think. Also, I think eating a bowl of porridge in the evening is helping me - I've snacked more today but if I'd tried to last out from tea at 6pm I know I'd have eaten lots more Smile

Hopefully · 28/09/2016 04:58

Over glad your day improved and you didn't have to drink any lavender oil Grin.

I haven't read the chat thread, but agree that everyone has a different weight that they perceive as their slim/ideal. My most comfortable weight is a BMI around 21.5ish. Any slimmer than that and I look a bit strange because of my broad shoulders.

Bloat a little bit more (not completely) gone, but I am slightly annoyed to realise I haven't actually lost any weight for almost a fortnight - I was down to 10.2.9 two Fridays back, then again last Friday, and am currently hovering around 10.3.3, so will probably end up around 10.2.9 again this Friday! I know I haven't been brilliant, but I have come in around 1,500 every day, sometimes lower. Humph. At least my period is nearly out the way for another few weeks, so I can aim for a couple of weeks of straight loss.

Re the not eating much to maintain - I am cheerfully resigned to a lifetime of minimal yoyoing. Not by stones and stones, but i'd rather eat what I like for a week or two, then have a strict week, or be strict during the week and relax on the weekend, or whatever. I'm much better at keeping my weight within a 5-7lb range than at constantly maintaining perfectly.

Not2bObvious · 28/09/2016 06:33

You did brilliant with your calories made, you know how to stretch them that's for sure😉 Yes it would be better to eat fruit as snacks but better still might be to reduce snacks, eat more at meal times? You main meal didnt sound like a lot, no wonder you have more later. 2 tuc should only be c. 40 cal, I love tuc but can eat a lot of the quickly. I want to try the paprika but can't find them anywhere possibly a good thing
Porridge for supper sounds v comforting.
I agree on the chat thread, Lots of low bmi's - I've been aiming for 24 for soo many years, I turned my back & the rest of the world thinks that's too heavy! To be bmi 20-21 I'd need to be between 8.5 & 8.10 - I would look like a corpse.
Hope sounds like you're maintaining rather than losing, probably only the difference of 200 cals a day. You're very light so this last bit will probably require a big push, how much more you want to lose?
I'm scared to say today's weight out loud in case it's a glitch, 11.1.6 - cannot believe so kinda don't tbh. We'll see where we are Friday. Thinking I'm going to hold off til then to weight again. I've had 2 days at 1100, 3 meals a day/no snacking/lots of water/black coffee (not sure if relevant just something different I did) sorry for the epic post just excited & babbling😁

Lolimax · 28/09/2016 06:43

Haven't been in much this week but well done everyone! I had a bit of a shock this morning, I've lost 2lbs already this week!! I'm down to 13.4 so almost into unknown areas as far as my adult weight (since my mid 20's anyway) is concerned. Thank you for this thread, makes such a difference.

Bathsheba3 · 28/09/2016 07:01

Yea Lol. Fingers crossed there should be a fair few of us down into the next sones - you'll be 12's soon, Not into the 10s by friday, Sugar & me into the 11s (I was 12 0.5 this morning, so 2 lbs down from official WI day last week - soooo close), and lots more of us that I can't remember ...
