No, I really had fasted all day because I knew I was going out! I wasn't too bad tbh - I used to do 5.2 and ate all my calories on one reasonable evening meal.

I had lots of food at dinner but no pudding. And half a bottle of wine so onwards today.

Ahh I see stew, I used to split my cals across 2 meals in 5:2 world, found it very hard to go all day.
Ate a lot of junk yesterday evening and out to dinner & the cinema so maybe just a 1 glass of wine night. I'm thinking of holding off until 12 to eat, using the brunch idea from that piece I shared yesterday. I used to do that most Saturday's. Forecast very poor here, rain all day. And I had been thinking of doing parkrun sorta
made I think they're great numbers for a Friday! I'm sure it would be less than your tdee
waffle soo close to the 12's, you're doing brilliantly. Good to hear you're getting decent help with your health, it matters immensely

MustBeThin · 24/09/2016 09:14

Good to hear from you Stew

You are all doing so well so far this weekend Grin I'm down 1lb today and back to 10st 8 so only another 2lb of holiday gain left. I'm very pleased with that. Still undecided about whether to eat my left over haagen dazs tonight though.

Sugarandsalt · 24/09/2016 09:34

I stepped on the scales. I shouldn't have. My body seems determined to keep me over 12stone. Back up the lb I was down.

Well done on the willpower stew and waffle and made you are both doing great. Not2b I do brunch a lot of weekends too. Have an appt at brunch time today though so I've just had scrambled eggs with feta, spinach and turkey rashers (311cals), lunch is a little leftover paella (275cals) with some green salad (50cals); dinner will be a chicken breast wrapped in Parma ham and stuffed with a teaspoon of soft garlicky cheese, with some green veg and roasted carrot and parsnip (600cals). That's just under 1300, so leaves me room for an apple or something. Not that its making a difference anyway.

Won't do a whole lot of steps today- Planning an exciting day of housework and hoping to prepare presentation for an upcoming conference. Will keep up 30 day shred and at least I can kid myself that I'm losing inches!

BitOutOfPractice · 24/09/2016 09:35

Can I buck the weekend restraint trend by saying I ate a massive Greek meal last night. And drank my own body weight in Sauvignon Blanc Blush

Back on it today. Too hungover to get up for park run but off to the gym when I can get the BF's arse out of bed

Not2bObvious · 24/09/2016 10:06

The scales at the weekend are utter b*stards. Mine has me up 1.8 from yesterday, yeah I did over indulge a bit but come on! Saturday/Sunday weigh in's (and Monday's come to think of it) are depressing events.
Sounds like a good night bit, apart from the hangover of course, I can't handle them at all. Hope you feel better soon, fair play for planning the gym. I would like, in theory, to do an exercise dvd but I'm unlikely to as pretty crippled with totm & still achey from Thursday's bootcamp. But it's early yet... Snuggling with 2 hot water bottles, cup of tea & audio book - bliss!

Lolimax · 24/09/2016 10:07

Finally got to the weekend not been a great week in work Angry. But managed to loose that lb I'd put on so happy with that. I've been for an early morning swim and after my breakfast I'm going to walk the dogs for an hour.
Weight loss is a funny thing isn't it? I don't know about anyone else but I have such highs and lows with no rhyme or reason sometimes. I suppose the answer is not to look at it on a weekly basis but long term.

ThisIsPlanetEarth · 24/09/2016 10:15

Haven't read the full thread but can I please join in?! Have been trying to lose weight since April and had lost 7 IBS doing (not strictly ) 5:2 and exercise. I was 11 stone 1, had got to 10st 8 then put on a couple of pounds over summer, weighed myself this week and now 10st 9. Am doing more exercise too. Have done a 15 hour fast today but I just don't seem to have any willpower when it comes to eating, have just had 3 small slices of toast! Want to lose a few more pounds before going on holiday in middle of October x
.

Not2bObvious · 24/09/2016 10:46

Oh thats good loli, glad it's straightened out. Yes weight loss flux is a head melter but if you want to lose weight you just have to persevere & look at the long game. It would be so easy to say f'it and be back where we started and then some. Also learning to accept other forms of measure not just the scales. I wore my size 10 jeans yesterday & they felt a teeny bit looser, my friend commented on how nice they looked and how well I was doing. We need to find the silver lining not just the clouds😉
Very welcome to the gang this, that's a nice chunk of weight gone, you must feel it? I'm on holidays mid October too, so you're in good company for a preholiday kickstart. Keep posting & joining in, I think this thread is a great support (well it is for me😁)

ThisIsPlanetEarth · 24/09/2016 12:45

Thanks Not2b, I don't really feel it myself although a couple of people have commented. I'm only 5 foot 1 inch so I am overweight and the heaviest I been apart from being pregnant. My stomach doesn't seem to know it's full and snacking is my downfall and the wine doesn't help either! I just don't have much willpower but will need to be strict!

coragreta · 24/09/2016 14:27

I have lost my Wednesday night weight and just 1/4 to go to reward. However I've just had two lunches because my lo didn't eat the cauliflower cheese so of course I had to.

Bathsheba3 · 24/09/2016 14:50

Hello everyone. Nearly relented last night & opened the only bottle I had in the house - pink champagne - v glad I didn't. So thankfully still at yesterday's weight. So far on track for 1200 today too. Still too busy for exercise any excuse but planning on power walk with dog tomorrow, for 1+hour.

Saturday evening looms ladies - keep the resolve up and the calories down

Not2bObvious · 24/09/2016 15:22

That's great cora told ya so, nah nah ne nah nah😉 Cauli cheese is the perfect low carb choice, protein/veg, it's practically a super food! What you planning for your reward? I'd like to plan a reward, if I ever lose any weight haha.
You're a warrior bath, an open bottle of fizz would be an empty bottle of fizz so you did excellent.
Just completed the Bob Harper beginner work out, trade descriptions should have him up on a charge😡 Holy lord, it was horrific. I managed to complete it but couldn't do everything. I was drenched after it, may as well have gone out in the rain. Had my brunch, trying very hard to hold off eating til my meal out - it'll be 3.5 hours before that so I might need to sleep some of that. Guzzling water all day to try flush out the deluge of sugar & salt I got through yesterday. I'm either driving tonight or having 1 glass of wine with dinner. I would be better driving but we'll see, can't promise that yet! Gosh tummy is rumbling, more tea maybe

coragreta · 24/09/2016 18:45

My reward is really boring. Not in the mood for clothes as I'm so far away from goal so I'm treating myself to a nice body cream. It smells amazing.
What's Bob Harper?
I'm going to a free boot camp taster on Wednesday. Hope it's not too bad.

Sugarandsalt · 24/09/2016 20:49

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Bit I hope you enjoyed your wine. Not well done on the workout and enjoy your dinner! I found a bag of old clothes in the attic which all fit. Which is great (although I think they were my "fat" clothes pre baby!). Well done on the pound down Loli. Welcome This, this thread is active and very supportive. Cora well done to you too, I love cauliflower cheese, couldn't turn it down! And Bath you have demonstrated fantastic personal strength on leaving the pink fizz!

I had a quiet day at home, DD was unusually tired after her week at nursery. 1260 calories, 6000 steps and my 30 day shred video.

Not2bObvious · 24/09/2016 22:50

Bob Harper is a trainer from the biggest loser cora. Meal was lovely, did have wine but only 1 glass, having a tea before bed. Had a few sweeties at the cinema though🙄
Tired now but v happy that my Saturday wasn't the usual disaster, night all

madein1995 · 24/09/2016 23:22

Hiya overtired and hope everyone else is having good days Smile

Not been too good today but not as bad as I could have been either - 1608 today (but I've changed my goal to 1.5lb a week not 2lb because I find it a real struggle keeping to under 1270, to lose 1.5lb a week my goal is 1520).
Woke up too late for breakfast again. Lunch was tomato soup, bread and butter (422), went swimming and had cornflakes afterwards (136) and a bag of crisps (130). Tea was hunters chicken and 3 croquettes (417) I've also had 2 glasses of prosecco (160, v. pleasently surprised) and crispy m and ms (180). Just snacked on 2 slices of fresh bread and butter (164) and I've now decided the kitchen is closed as it's just mindless snacking and I know I'm not actually hungry.
I'm debating buying some smaller dinner plates and also am armed with healthier snacks as parents went shopping today - have snack n jacks (better than walkers crisps), maltesers which is better than galaxy etc, and snack pots of fruit and cute little snack pots of grapes. 10 cal jellies etc so I have some healthier snacks. My meals tend to be relatively ok bar the odd takeaway that I'm getting better at, and I'm mainly drinking squash and hot drinks not much pop, it's snacking on the 'wrong' things that's getting me I think, especially in the evening. Might start having fruit and yogurt for breakfast (when I'm up early enough) and then having a bowl of porridge for supper in the evening.

MustBeThin · 25/09/2016 09:50

Morning all. Had a serious binge last night Hmm couldn't sleep, was really bored and ended up eating half of a tub of haagen dazs well past midnight while watching TV recordings Blush was a little hesitant about stepping on the scales this morning but somehow I'm another 1lb down Confused so now I weigh 10st 7 and I'm only 1lb up from my holiday.

Not2bObvious · 25/09/2016 10:28

I think it really goes to show must that whatever you do on holidays, it certainly isn't damage to your weight. Your good habits are so well ingrained & liveable that you're not losing the plot once away from normal life. Hope you enjoyed the ice cream - perfectly fine for a treat, your good behaviour definitely outweighs any bad. That pound will probably be gone by mid week.
My scales is showing another .6 up, so 2.4 up from Friday but I'm quite bunged up now - a problem I suffer with a totm so genuinely not concerned. Doing the brunch plan again but dinner tonight will be earlier. Have to allow myself some cals for a night on the sofa too!
made I think you're doing really well with the calories but there's a lot of snacky/picky bits in there. There's no harm if you're still losing but if you could retrain yourself to eat enough filling foods at meals not to pick it could be very helpful as weightloss gets slower. When I snack on sugary (and I'd include low cal stuff) bits, it turns on the hunger/snack attack switch. I didn't need sweets at the cinema but once I started I keep going. Oh it was find in calorie stakes but it could have be 300-400 calories banked for another day. Sometimes I look at the snacks section of mfp & I'm 😳 At how much I get through. If you don't already put those bits into that section, start doing it and monitor where your cals are going - it's an eye opener.

StewardsEnquiry · 25/09/2016 10:37

Must be - I don't call HALF a tub a serious binge! I can polish off a whole one, no sweat.

Still not stepping on scales until I have been sub 1200 for a few days. I feel well in the zone (for now - ha!) so might brave a weigh in tomorrow morning.

I love the idea of rewards but in reality I am absolutely hopeless with them. I plan for one, then end up buying it whether or not I have reached the goal because I neeeeeeeed it. Or have gone off the reward by the time I am allowed to get it anyway. Not good at delayed gratification.

StewardsEnquiry · 25/09/2016 10:40

I've just thought, though, I am much better at dieting in the autumn/winter. I think it's because I prefer A/W clothes so there is more incentive to get smaller to fit in them. Love skinny jeans/trousers and a voluminous top. Whereas in summer I don't like skinnies because they are too hot so there is more room for a bit of weight gain. Well that is my story and I'm sticking to it.

Another lb loss this morning so now only 4lbs away from 3 stone! Did have a row with DH though about how much exercise I'm doing....

MustBeThin · 25/09/2016 12:39

Thanks Not2b I don't know how I managed it tbh, I only had 2 main meals a day. A full English with a slice of toast every day at around 11am for breakfast/lunch and then a meal every night with a starter probably 5-6 times I did eat some puddings plus other things like Starbucks double choc frappe, donuts Ed's diner milkshake, choc bars (not all in one day obviously) Grin. So I wasn't particularly careful but if I wasn't hungry for a starter/pudding I didn't have one whereas before I'd eat 3 courses at night, even if I was full I'd still stuff a pudding in. I don't know but I'm certain if I ate that amount at home I'd put proper weight on. Hmm I don't really drink alcohol so I suppose that helps on holiday, I've never been too bothered about it I'm more of a food person than a drink person. Grin

Stew I only ate half a tub because that's all that was left Grin I could have quite happily eaten more.

MustBeThin · 25/09/2016 12:40

Well done Loli I hit my 3st loss in August. Grin

Lolimax · 25/09/2016 12:51

Fab Must. What did you go from and to if you don't mind me asking and how many dress sizes? Also has your body shape changed much?
