DeepFriedFlamingo · 30/04/2016 13:24

So I've managed to pick up half a stone from somewhere and need to lose it so starting tomorrow going to try...

Not doing anything special just going to eat less and move more.

Who's with me? I have a Fitbit and am willing to challenge anyone Grin

fresh start and more wise. it's great we're all still posting.

BlueEyeshadow · 09/05/2016 17:27

I know what you mean, ineed - but onwards and upwards. One slip isn't a disaster so keep going.

Hrafnkel · 09/05/2016 17:47

One bad meal/day is not a good enough reason to throw in the towel Smile it's just one bad day and is better than several days or more in a row.

I've had quite a good few days, am properly back in the zone. Walked 7 miles today. Have been getting up early nearly every morning to exercise. This means I'm not drinking as it doesn't work with early mornings!

I've been eating lots of fruit and veg. Actually had a school fair and two bbqs Shock but managed to stick mainly to chicken kebabs and salad and summer pudding. I'm determined I'll be 10 stone at half term!

I have a race every Sunday for the next three, which should hopefully also keep me on the straight and narrow.

Keep going, everyone!

You go girl.

DeepFriedFlamingo · 09/05/2016 20:53

Gah, am in the week leading up to AF so am eating everything in sight, managed to limit it to the fruit bowl but have the chocolate biscuits in my sight.

The good news is I normally drop about 3lbs when it's finished Grin

Checking in, managing to resist milky coffees and ice creams on holiday here in sunny Bavaria. No snacking and no sugar and no booze and managed to do minimum walking of 10k steps. Meals were not so great health wise - cheesebread fruit veg for lunch and breakfast then turkey, cauliflower cheese, pasta and salad for dinner. tomorrow is a new day.

Hrafnkel · 10/05/2016 09:13

IT sounds like you are still making sensible choices, rainbow Smile

deepdarkwood · 10/05/2016 11:37

Weighed in today and lost nearly 2 lbs over last week, so pleased with that. Did my third 500cal day yesterday and struggled - I do really notice how little energy I have on my 'fast' days. Early bed and I woke up this morning full of beans, and had a great yoga class this am, so feeling positive.

One day is just one day, ineed - one bad choice on one day isn't going to sabotage you - just get back on the wagon

cathyandclaire - care to share your chocolate hypnosis app??

Hope everyone is having good days :-)

hellogoodbyeendo · 10/05/2016 14:33

Pleased to say I finally got back on the yoga today. Just a quick home routine for 15 min with Jessica Smith on you tube, but it feels good to be stretching.

buzzpop · 10/05/2016 14:40

Ate grab bag pack of Doritos crisps yesterday , and a Belgian bun and sandwiches ...oh dear.
I was travelling and I know I should have thought ahead and prepared.
Today is a new day, attempting a 500cal day to rectify yesterday's gorge!

ArriettyMatilda · 10/05/2016 19:08

I'm also tempted to go for chocolate, just because I ate two biscuits earlier today so I may as well! Luckily I can post here instead and keep on track. My logic with food is illogical. I justified eating the biscuits because I was out and feeling peckish but was about to go shopping and didn't want to be hungry there. I did manage to walk down the biscuits aisle and not pick up anything there though Halo

MissWimpyDimple · 10/05/2016 22:19

Hi all! I've been snowed under at work (and away camping at the weekend), but I did weigh and although I don't think I have lost much, it's probably another lb so I'm seeing that as a positive.

I have another 5lbs to go in 2.5 weeks. Erm... I may have to revise my target!

I've started to try having one decent meal a day at lunch and to otherwise eat fruit and veg, it's working ok.

Greatdomestic · 10/05/2016 22:29

Only a 1lb loss for me this week, which I am a bit disappointed in. However I will keep at it and hope for more next week.

AugustRose · 11/05/2016 09:40

I'm still really surprised at how little I want to snack through the day, we work from home and it's too handy when crisps/biscuits on in the cupboard but I really don't want them (yet Grin)

Monday we were forced into a healthy salad as we had a power cut for 4 hours, after which the cooker decided it didn't want to work - which mean the added worry of buying a new one. Fortunately it was just the socket it's wired into so everything is back to normal now.

Off to start some step or kickboxing, I haven't decided which but I know I'll feel good afterwards Smile

Hrafnkel · 11/05/2016 11:14

I've just stepped away from the biscuit table even though my favourite biscuits were there (rare). Feeling good!

Lots of running and walking this week - 4 miles of hills and Pilates this morning. I have only lost 3lb so far, but the main thing is, I feel great. Lots of water, fruit, veg, sleep, exercise Smile

ineedamoreadultieradult · 11/05/2016 13:22

is craving carbs/sugar/all the naughty things linked to periods? I had a really good week last week didn't miss any of the things I had cut out and was actively looking forward to my salad for tea. I started my period today and fpr the last few days I have done nothing but crave everything I shouldn't be eating!
Hrafnkel well done for stepping away from those biscuits!

ArriettyMatilda · 11/05/2016 13:58

ineedamoreadultieradult I bloody well hope so, I have a massive craving for chocolate and cake and I'm due in a few days. Hopefully now yours has started the cravings will subside. Meanwhile I still have a mountain of easter chocolate to avoid.

cathyandclaire · 12/05/2016 08:25

Hi all, down 2lb here so 3lb in total. Feeling verrrrrry pleased with myself after slow start. TOTM just started so I think that's helped as I was rather puffy and bloated before.
Chocolate hypnosis is actually on itunes
Still haven't had any, or even wanted any and, as I said, it's TOTM. This is UNPRECEDENTED.

RainbowFlower24 · 12/05/2016 21:13

cathy what is totm?

Greetings all from my holidays which have gone ok so far - I've made ok food choices, no sweets and no snacking. Today was hard as it was cold and rainy, and everyone else was indulging in sweets but I managed to stick to the three meals only, no snacking. Did about 15 lengths in the pool whilst DH held on to toddler DD. Will try for more tomorrow.
I read the no s diet page and it seems so close to what I'm doing I may adopt it inspired by others on the thread. Will next have a weigh in opportunity on Sunday at home

Hrafnkel · 12/05/2016 22:03

Totm = time of the month

hellogoodbyeendo · 13/05/2016 06:13

Checking in as I had a fairly unhealthy day yesterday, with jam, cheese, garlic bread and finishing DC's ice cream in the park (not all at the same time!). Done some morning yoga and re-read hra's wise words. Looking forward to a more positive day.

Hrafnkel · 13/05/2016 09:32

Wise Blush thanks Smile

I'm having a good day as the weather is so beautiful today. I don't mind if it's mild as long as the sun is out.

Did well (for me) yesterday at boss's leaving do: stuck to crisps and strawberries. But cake and curry day is today! Went for a run earlier, planning a little bit of Pilates so I can eat without worrying.

How is everyone doing?

deepdarkwood · 13/05/2016 11:14

Hi everyone :-) Well, im feeling great at the mo - loads more energy (going to sleep earlier as cutting down on vino!); good food giving me good energy. But a cheeky midweek weigh in suggests not actually loosing any weight. Boo! I'm definitely eating less (esp snacks) so am going to work on the policy that the scales are bollocks and the key thing is feeling good about eating healthily and keeping moving. I suspect I need to do some more high intensity activity - I have a pretty good step count but that is all walking/yoga/doing the allotment. Suspect I need to take on something more heavy duty...

Hope everyone else is doing well??

Hrafnkel · 13/05/2016 12:40

Deep that is exactly what is happening to me. But I'm feeling so good that I'm not worrying about big weight loss this week, just focusing on positive body image/feel. From that, more will to exercise and eat well comes (I hope!).

deepdarkwood · 13/05/2016 12:46

hra - that is reassuring to hear! I would like to see the scales reflecting how I feel, but the lift in my energy and mood is very tangible, so I'll take that for now...

(But please note, fat stores, I am expecting great things next week ;-)
