A half a stone in May?

So I've managed to pick up half a stone from somewhere and need to lose it so starting tomorrow going to try...

Not doing anything special just going to eat less and move more.

Who's with me? I have a Fitbit and am willing to challenge anyone Grin

...plus, of course, the thought of giving up cake forever is also appalling.

Hello all, and well done to everyone on the weight losses, healthier eating, more movement and the races Hra! I fell off the wagon a little last weekend (dh and dd were away so ds and I had a mini-treat-fest to ourselves - such fun!) - but got back on - and happily have actually not put any weight back on at weigh in (as I had expected) so onwards and, um, downwards! I'm not going to hit my half a stone in May by any stretch, but I'm two lbs off going down a stone which would be amazing motivation ... Off to Chelsea flower show tomorrow so LOTS of walking hopefully, and will try and resist the pimms and ice creams (although seeing an old mate, so will certainly have a glass of something!

Also had some lovely fitbit news yesterday - my strap is coming loose so I contacted them and they are sending me a new one ... but as they didn't have any charges in the colour I like, I'm getting a free upgrade to a Charge HR. Childishly excited about this Grin

Well the annoying pound that went on last week has come back off again, so that's good. Not going to be a great week with half term and parents visiting - this is likely to involve cafés! Will keep plodding along, but nowhere near losing half a stone. Hey ho.

It's weigh in week 4 tomorrow and frankly I'm hoping to have not regained everything. I've had guests who have been purchasing us large amounts of cake and bringing gifts of sweets. So partly out of politeness but mostly greed, I've had a disastrous couple of days in terms of diet. That and no exercise (laughs at self for planning to exercise daily) last week and TOTM - I just hope the 6 lbs I've lost are not all back on in the morning. I think once they've left tomorrow night I'll get back to it.

Hrafnkel · 29/05/2016 15:43

This has fallen off my 'I'm on' list - has been quiet lately.

I did my third and final race of the week this morning. At mum and dad's getting ready for going abroad tomorrow with sis and family so have been eating more than I should. But we're going to centreparcs and I plan to run/swim lots so this weekend is my treat weekend.

How has everyone got on?

Hrafnkel · 29/05/2016 15:44

Rainbow, 6lb is a good achievement for the month Smile

hellogoodbyeendo · 29/05/2016 16:57

Well done everyone. No more weight off me this week, so that's 5lb for the month (although I'll weigh in on Tuesday just in case!). This thread has been amazing for remembering to give priority to well being and self care. Thank you!

RainbowFlower24 · 29/05/2016 18:22

Not quite 6 lbs as the excess of the days has left 2lbs with me. So 4 lbs for the month. At least I know it can be done. Thanks for the thread. I'll defintiely join another

Hi all, I did a final weigh in this morning and I was 10st 2.25lbs so have lost 5.75 lbs in total and I'm happy with that as I feel much more toned. It leaves me with 2.25lbs to lose in just under 3 weeks to reach my target of 10st before my holidays and I think I can do that.

Well done everyone on any weight loss and exercising, hopefully we all feel a little better and it's been great having others to talk to.

PetersonPeterson · 31/05/2016 13:17

I have lost about 4-6 lbs this month, and still have a few to go, but the exercise has really changed my shape for the better. Can fit in my pre pregnancy clothes and feel much better. Now 10st 2lb, aiming for 9st 7 at some point but would be really happy to get to 9st 11 or 12 by the end of June. Aiming to back to my pre baby weight when my baby is 9 months in mid July.
