MFP to lose weight

Emz449 · 30/05/2015 18:31

Hello! I'm starting this thread to make myself accountable and as motivation. I've been using MFP for 16 days now and have lost 6lbs, really enjoying it and finding it so easy to use. I'll be posting weigh ins as and when as I am a frequent weigher! Hopefully the loses will continue Grin I started in Janaury as 14 stone 11lbs Shock but I've become complacent

Starting weight - 14 stone 11lbs
Current weight - 12 stone 5lbs
Goal weight - Currently 10 stone 11lbs but I think that I will aim lower once I reach that

On 1,450 a day with an active lifestyle. Would be great to see other peoples loses and experiences with MFP, annoyed I didn't start it sooner!

Join the challenge peacoat! How much would you have to lose to get into the next stone bracket? Maybe set a smaller goal for the end of the month?

Oh. I usually work in kg and just converted it.

I am 15 stone.

Well, actually, to get below 15 stone I need to lose 0.03 of a stone. So lets go with a whole stone. I'm a bit numb. I actually want to cry.

peacoat · 08/06/2015 20:36

I used to run marathons. This is seriously fucked.

Emz449 · 08/06/2015 20:43

Please don't be upset, you've taken all the right steps to change how you currently feel Flowers

A stone in over 3 weeks could definitely be achievable especially given the BMF Smile

What would I have to do to lose a stone in a month? I am prepared to do BMF twice a week (maybe even 3 by the end of the month).

I feel powerless. Sorry for my swearing earlier.

Bathsheba3 · 08/06/2015 21:00

Hmm .... set mfp to loose 2lbs a week and stick with that. Anything over will be a huge bonus. You are not powerless peacoat. You have made the 1st step. As for the wine, this is my 8th evening without a drop (and I usually drink at least 1/2 bottle a night).

peacoat · 08/06/2015 21:00

OK I'm going to do this. (Sorry for the multiple posts)

I am strong enough to deal with this.

End of June you say? OK. Let's do it. I'll be much nearer 14 stone than I am now (may not manage a full stone but close will be good)

Bathsheba3 · 08/06/2015 21:04

I am finding it harder to not drink than to adopt portion control Blush

peacoat · 08/06/2015 21:09

8th evening is very good. Congratulations! I'm on my 3rd, and drinking a pint of sparkling water.

I've adjusted my MFP goal to align with my new target.

I'd like to offer you a Wine Grin

Emz449 · 08/06/2015 21:23

Sounds like you've got the right mindset Grin I bet you'll be a lot closer to a stone then you think.

I'm going to aim for 11stone 13lbs so just on the bored! Can't do any real exercise currently other than walking so fingers crossed!

Emz449 · 08/06/2015 21:24

That should read border not bored Hmm

OP posts:
peacoat · 08/06/2015 21:36

Walking is a very good exercise though.

Emz449 · 08/06/2015 22:13

Very true, it all helps!

Morning! I'm back to 12.8. Just goes to show how much weight can fluctuate in 24 hours. I stuck to exactly 1200 yesterday (even had a roast dinner in the evening). Went out for 30 mins jogplod. Didn't add on my extra cals. All fired up now.

Have a good day!

peacoat · 09/06/2015 07:27

Morning! Well done Bath.

I bounced out of bed at 5.30am all fired up and determined. Dreamt about it all night.

Enjoy your day all!

Emz449 · 09/06/2015 08:48

Well done both!

I weighed in at 12 stone 9 this morning so 2lbs down from yesterday, another 4 to go until I'm back to my original weight. Really really hoping for 12 St 4 by next Monday. Will see how quickly the extra gain goes Hmm

Bathsheba3 · 09/06/2015 14:03

Amazing Emz !! That's great to hear. I'm sure the other 4 will fly off too, given they haven't had long to settle & take hold properly.

Great positive vibes Peacoat. You can do it. You are starting off pretty much where Emz did by the look of it - and she is down 2 + stones already!

Emz449 · 09/06/2015 16:35

Fingers crossed Bathsheba and thank you. Boyfriend wanted to be homemade pizzas tonight but I refused, really want to make this end of month goal

That's right though Pea our starting weights are pretty similar and I shed the first couple of stone in two months I think, have just been messing around and taking the scenic route since then, so frustrating really as could have been close to goal, but such is life Smile

peacoat · 09/06/2015 18:30

Wow! Well done Emz, that's really amazing. That gives me such hope!

2 stone in 2 months is impressive.

Eliza22 · 09/06/2015 20:15

Good luck Peacoat. I'm 1.5 lbs down.... Disappointed, it's been hard but I am 53, menopausal and I think it does get harder as you get older. Will stick at it.

Well done Emz

Keep it up, ladies!

peacoat · 09/06/2015 20:37

Please tell me that weighing yourself after dinner is stupid.

I weigh 1.4kg more now than I did yesterday morning.

Eliza every loss is a loss.

Emz449 · 09/06/2015 21:05

Congratualtions Eliza That's amazing well done!

Pea the only way to weigh yourself is when you wake up, naked and after you have been to the loo, the best way to guarantee a loss Grin

peacoat · 09/06/2015 21:05

Lesson learnt! Wink

Bathsheba3 · 09/06/2015 21:30

Eliza - 1.5 lbs is amazing! Slow and steady is the way to go.

JontyDoggle37 · 10/06/2015 06:54

Well, I'm 1lb lighter than yesterday (12.5 now, total loss 3lb) and just did my measurements and in two weeks have lost total of 3 inches from thighs/hips/tummy/arms, so quite pleased! Just need to be super good the rest of the week and lose another lb hopefully!
