MFP to lose weight

Emz449 · 30/05/2015 18:31

Hello! I'm starting this thread to make myself accountable and as motivation. I've been using MFP for 16 days now and have lost 6lbs, really enjoying it and finding it so easy to use. I'll be posting weigh ins as and when as I am a frequent weigher! Hopefully the loses will continue Grin I started in Janaury as 14 stone 11lbs Shock but I've become complacent

Starting weight - 14 stone 11lbs
Current weight - 12 stone 5lbs
Goal weight - Currently 10 stone 11lbs but I think that I will aim lower once I reach that

On 1,450 a day with an active lifestyle. Would be great to see other peoples loses and experiences with MFP, annoyed I didn't start it sooner!

Thanks for that jonty. I had not come across that before. I like the idea of that extra pound being gone by tomorrow! Maybe it could take some friends with it!

Hope your lunch at TGI was tasty and healthy

Emz449 · 12/09/2015 15:22

No loss for me today, still 11st 2. I'm not going out for dinner later either which I'm quite happy about. Maybe I'll see a loss tomorrow! Going out for Sunday lunch instead of dinner tonight, I am looking forward to it, haven't been out for Sunday lunch in years! Hopefully shouldn't have too much impact on the scales too.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

11 stone 1 today! woo hoo! so close to the 10's now Grin

Wow - well done Emz - amazing. And so well deserved too.

Keep up the good work everyone else!

No weigh-in for me this week, as I am in survival mode, doing what I can to get by. Involving too much wine. I could never ever imagine parenting could be so tough DC's be so bloody horrible

Emz449 · 13/09/2015 19:02

Thank you bath Smile

Flowers for you, I can't empathise but I can imagine it must be difficult.

Good day for me here, Apple and kiwi for breakfast and then went out for Sunday lunch, I had roast pork, estimated at about 900-1000 calories? Roast potatoes, roast veg and a massive Yorkshire pudding, do you think that seems fair? That didn't give me much room for anything else so I had 6 lindor chocolates for my dinner Grin

IMustEatMoreVeg · 14/09/2015 04:59

Sounds like a good plan Emz! I never have enough calories for both lunch and dinner if I eat out.

TMI but I think I know why I have stayed the same all week. I have been rather constipated but that resolved today so hoping for a loss tomorrow! Sorry to lower the tone of the thread!

willbeslimagain · 14/09/2015 07:37

Morning ladies, well done Emz you are so disciplined, Lindt chocolates are amazing too!!

I must admit it does get harder when you are sleep deprived and have nightmare children stressing you out so massive hugs bath!! I was never fat before I was pregnant!

Fingers crossed for losses for you all this morning.

I am at 9st 1.8 so lost one of the 3 I put on after my binge week, joined the gym Saturday and started my delivery diet today which looks yum. I do find exercise doesn't really impact my weight loss much and food is more important, my thighs actually feel bigger today after all the squats I did yesterday!!

MajesticWhine · 14/09/2015 09:35

I had a bad day yesterday. Made home-made pizza for lunch and got a bit carried away. And slugged back a large quantity of wine in the evening. But I went for a run so hopefully that somewhat mitigates it.

Purpleknickers · 14/09/2015 10:12

Well no miracle happened for me and I stayed the same, TMI but I'm a bit time of the monthy so that could explain it. I have decided to take it on the chin try not to sulk and crack on with it this week, its pouring with rain here but I am determined to go out for a walk at lunchtime ratehr than sitting on my butt surfing the net

Well done on your weight loss and discipline Emz

Emz449 · 14/09/2015 10:39

Good morning all Smile Hope you're having a good day so far.

Still 11 stone 1 this morning so quite happy with that. 2lbs to go to the 10 stone bracket! Can't believe I'm nearly there! I would really love to be in the 9 stone bracket for when I go away and see my boyfriend again, 75 days to lose a stone and a few pounds.... Could be doable?

Challenging week ahead but going to do my best to keep it together and make the best choices. Making cookies tomorrow night for the baby shower on Wednesday - temptation everywhere! Wednesday and Thursday will be the hardest days but I'm going to do my best to make it work for me

Hi ladies, I know I'm a bit late in the game but can I join the thread?

I've been using MFP for 8 days now, on 1200 cals and I've also cut sugary drinks, bread, pasta and rice! I'm doing really well with it, I'm no longer craving rubbish (although I did have a slip up with a Flake when out shopping this morning as I hadn't eaten yet!)

I'm currently 14st 0lb (after losing a measly 1lb this week Hmm ) and hoping to get down to 9 or 10 for my wedding in Jan 2017!

I need to chat to people who are doing it too because I'm already boring DP and my friends are slim and gorgeous and they've heard it all from me before and I've never stuck to it!

Emz449 · 14/09/2015 18:51

Of course Moochops, welcome! Good luck with your weight loss.

Good day for me today, I feel really good at the moment too, no ibs flare ups since the one last week so I think healthy food for me from now on and the occasional meal out, it just doesn't agree with me

Also a random question.... I have a black and white striped dress that I love, but I wore it with a leather bag that crossed over and the black leather has rubbed off on the white part of the dress. Does anyone have any magic tips on how to get it out? The buggering stain is tough to get out!

OP posts:
IMustEatMoreVeg · 14/09/2015 19:23

Emz have you tried Vanish in a squirter bottle? I find it gets everything out. And you can target it so you don't get it on the black bits of your dress.

Success today. I am down 2lb back to my lowest so far of 12lb 1.

Emz449 · 14/09/2015 20:12

Well done Imust Smile

My friend is actually bringing me some vanish to work tomorrow so i'm going to give it a go and see if that works, i've been scrubbing it with Daz this evening to try and get it out and it's in the tumble dryer at the moment, i'm hoping it's going to work!

OP posts:
willbeslimagain · 14/09/2015 20:56

Well done imust

Another vote for vanish here too!

Had a good day too and arranged to go shopping on my own on Friday whilst my mum babysits, first time since I was pregnant! Hoping trying on the new autumn clothes will inspire me to stay motivated!

MajesticWhine · 14/09/2015 21:33

I'm so hungry. I feel like saying sod the whole thing today and eating some chocolate tart and cream that I know is sitting in the fridge.

Emz449 · 14/09/2015 22:07

Noooo don't do it majestic! It won't make you feel any better, have a hot drink, it might make you feel more full?

The daz worked quite well but I'll give it a go with the vanish tomorrow too and hopefully it'll be white again, there's a light shade of grey on it now which could be passable but I find any sort of mark on white is very noticeable!

I was going to buy a similar one which I thought would be an easy thing to do as it's just a white and black striped bodycon dress but apparently not!

Emz449 · 15/09/2015 07:33

11 stone on the dot this morning woo hoo! Hopefully will see the 10's at some point this week

OP posts:
Purpleknickers · 15/09/2015 09:42

Well done Emz that is fantastic. I am resisting getting on the scales for a few days as no movement will get me in the misery zone. Stil getting up at 5.30am and doing my workout DVD before work so I am really hoping that this week will bring a loss.

Good luck with the dress Emz

Majestic how are you today? Did you go for the chocolate tart?

MajesticWhine · 15/09/2015 09:58

Morning!. No I didn't go for the chocolate tart Grin. I did pick at some breadsticks so I went over my calories for the day. I don't know why I got so hungry yesterday, it was misery. I'm not going to weigh for a few days. Today will be a better day. I think I'm going to do burritos tonight, which without the sour cream and cheese are actually fairly low calorie. Something fishy and masses of salad for lunch.

JontyDoggle37 · 15/09/2015 10:46

Morning all sorry for the disappearing act last few days, had a manic weekend with not much sleep, fell off the diet wagon and now baby has caught his first cold so even less sleep. I'm trying to make decent choices but I'm in survival mode at the moment and I need maximum fuel to give me energy through the day in place of sleep, so I'm not going to even weigh for a few days and just aim to be back on track by Friday.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 15/09/2015 17:45

1/8 lb down for me today Smile every little helps! I might be in the 11s sometime this week

Emz449 · 15/09/2015 19:40

Well done Imust, hope that you see the 11's this week!

I'm my own worst enemy, making cookies for a baby shower tomorrow and they smell amazing!

Good for me otherwise, after tomorrow morning I won't be able to weigh myself until Friday morning, after Wednesday and Thursday night I'm not sure if I'll see the 10s due to bloating but I'll try my hardest! Going to see some school friends on the 17th of October so going to try my hardest!
