God, I could have written that myself gotred Shock

That's exactly what I do, over and over again. I'm going to stick to training like a beast (a very wobbly, sweaty beast!) and counting my WW points. I bought a Fitbit so that I can up my incidental exercise too. I know that this is what works for me long term... when I can stick to it. I lost three stones on WW before, I can do it again.

gotredonyou · 27/04/2015 14:37

I think i'm gonna give calorie counting one last shot...if my weight hasn't changed from 11st10 by the end of May i'm going to have to do vlcd/body coach starting in June as my wedding keeps getting closer & closer!

Do you do WW online or go to classes? x

helenahandbag · 27/04/2015 14:43

I do it online. What's more embarrassing is the amount of money I've wasted on WW - even while doing all the other plans I've attempted, I can't quite let go of my WW tracker Blush

There is a city centre drop-in class on a Wednesday morning before work and the leader is nice but I want to forget about the scales for now. I know that I won't enjoy my social events next month if I'm constantly thinking about what the scales will say, I need to learn to trust the process! xo

gotredonyou · 27/04/2015 14:53

hmm money was a big motivator for me on CWP as it was SO expensive!
How many calories do you think I should be on? A couple of girls I follow on IG are on 1200 and seem to be consistently losing 2lbs a week but don't know if that's too low. Been on a BMR calculator and that says I should eat 1350 but that's to lose 1/2-1lb so I might get bored!! x

helenahandbag · 27/04/2015 14:57

This is why I chose WW over calorie counting - I am never confident that I'm eating the right amount. MFP suggests 1300kcal for 1.5lbs off a week and 1550 for 1lb, but do I eat back my exercise calories? Half of them? If I eat 1500 kcal but burn 600 at bootcamp then I'm only netting 900kcal for the day! My BMR is 1700 - should I eat below that to lose weight? TDEE-80% says 1850 per day, but don't eat back exercise calories as they are already factored in. Argh!

It fries my brain. WW tells me a number, so I stick to it! xo

gotredonyou · 27/04/2015 15:10

But you could work out how many cals your WW daily points are then divide your weeklies by 7 and times by 40...

e.g- 28 points a day + 7 weeklies =35 points x 40 =1400 cals?

I don't think I would eat back my exercise calories ever but I don't do anything intense like you. The most I do is a 20 min HIIT session 3 times a week when I can be bothered

helenahandbag · 27/04/2015 15:18

That gives me 1520kcal, but you don't point fruit or veg on WW so that would need to be taken into account. That's another thing I dislike about calorie counting - the day I weigh out lettuce is the day I've officially gone batty!

gotredonyou · 27/04/2015 15:23

lol hmm complicated I think I might do 1200 cals a day but don't count fruit or veg. As I don't tend to have more than 1-2 portions of fruit a day (3-4 veg/salad) x

helenahandbag · 27/04/2015 15:25

That sounds like a good plan, I say give that a go and see where you are in a month. That way, if it isn't working, you still have time before your wedding to do a VLCD xo

gotredonyou · 27/04/2015 15:32

Yeah that's true- Will let you know how I get on. x

Dowser · 28/04/2015 08:21

That's a good idea got red. 1200 cals plus fruit and veg. I might go back to that when I'm home.

gotredonyou · 28/04/2015 09:25

Todays menu-

B- Smoothie made from oats, flaxseed, mango, raspberries & greek yoghurt (220 cals)

L- 1/4 Cheese & Onion Quiche & Salad (280 cals)

D- Chicken & Veg Stirfry in Sweet Chilli Sauce (580 cals)

Got some grapes to nibble on throughout the day and leaves me 120 cals for something sweet after dinner.

helenahandbag · 28/04/2015 10:19

That looks good! My plan today:

B: 50g overnight oats with stewed apple, coffee

L: Chicken salad with feta cheese, 2x boiled eggs and an olive oil dressing, 2x clementines, yoghurt

D: Kerry LowLow chicken tikka masala

S: Banana

I'm aching after bootcamp last night, it was leg day and it feels like someone has taken a sledgehammer to my glutes Blush

gotredonyou · 28/04/2015 11:38

Smoothie was definitely not enough for breakfast- starving now!
Love overnight oats so might have to try them again...

Need to do some exercise tonight as having done any HIIT since last Thursday!! x

helenahandbag · 28/04/2015 11:52

I love overnight oats too, I've been making them with full fat milk and Icelandic yoghurt so they're really creamy. A massive bowl of them at 9am sets me up for the whole morning xo

gotredonyou · 28/04/2015 11:57

Whats Icelandic yoghurt?

I still can't bring myself to buy full fat milk- I know skimmed/semi has add sugar (higher carb) but I just find it sooo creamy!! x

helenahandbag · 28/04/2015 12:15

I started by having it in my coffee and it made such a difference! It's the easiest way to up your fat intake. Icelandic yoghurt is like Greek yoghurt but it's higher in protein and lower in sugar. It's still not exactly a "treat", it has the same sharpness but it's nice enough xo

gotredonyou · 29/04/2015 09:34

Todays menu-

B- Porridge with PB & banana (280 cals)
L- 1/4 Cheese & onion quiche & Salad (280 cals)
D- Lamb Kofta, Chapatti, Chilli chutney & Salad. (450 cals)

190 cals for dessert/snacks.

A few unplanned liquorice allsorts fell into my mouth last night so gonna do some exercise tonight to burn them off!! x

helenahandbag · 29/04/2015 10:03

Those pesky allsorts, they have a way of doing that! Grin

Today I'm having:

B: More overnight oats - I'm using up my stewed apple supply!, coffee
L: Chicken salad with feta and olive oil dressing, yoghurt, blueberries
D: Chicken burrito bowl
S: Banana, 2x clementines
E: 1hr bootcamp

gotredonyou · 29/04/2015 14:30

I am currently filling out The Body Coach's 90 day plan questionnaire - It is really in depth! As soon as I have taken my front, side & back 'before' picture (will do in the morning) it will take 7-10 days for my personalised plan to arrive! eeek x

helenahandbag · 29/04/2015 16:37

Ooh, I'm so excited for you! Grin

You have to let me know how you get on, I'm still really interested in the programme xo

gotredonyou · 29/04/2015 16:48

Well I've been thinking about it for months maybe even a year and I keep seeing before and after pictures which are amazing so I thought sod it!! lol It's my birthday tomorrow so i've got a big weekend planned- then hopefully the plan will arrive after that :D xx

helenahandbag · 29/04/2015 16:53

Ahh it was DP's birthday yesterday and my friend's two days before that. Lots of April birthdays! I'll be 25 in thirteen days, which is bizarre because I feel about 18. The fact that someone gave me a job and a bank account and I'm getting married is ridiculous to me Grin

gotredonyou · 29/04/2015 16:55

I'll be 24 tomorrow arghh! I feel really old actually, like I am wasting my youth?? Hence why I have planned a leopard print themed bar crawl on Saturday so I can act 18 again !! hahaha x

helenahandbag · 30/04/2015 09:16

Happy birthday gotred!
