Dancing was good last night. Two ladies who haven't seen me for a few weeks said I'd lost a lot of weight! Grin I haven't but nice to hear it.

I've had a banana so far. I'll eat again around 1pm? Am pondering what to throw in the slow cooker? I made up a chicken thing the other morning for dss seen as I was going to be out at work from 9am until 10pm. I threw chicken, chicken soup, chopped carrot, seasoning and plenty of paprika into the SC and left it on low. The dss demolished it and said it was nice. Took all of 2 minutes to do. I may do something similar for tonight but will dice some onions too.

Not sure of exercise today? I'm off to see a friend soon, then home to blitz the house so I suppose that's a bit of activity?

Have a positive day everyone. Have a safe journey home Dowser.

Dowser · 20/03/2015 12:29

Thank you so much FSC.

That stew sounds gorgeous.

Aargh. Just caught sight of myself in the mirror and I'm like a little round tub with boobs.

Big ones. Double aargh!

This was going to be time for me to concentrate on exercise and losing weight. Well that hasn't happened.

Tomorrow I'll take one ofmy my mums fluid retention pills. See if that ( hopefully ) makes a difference.

I'm saving one for my wedding day as well.

I've bought some spanish herbal ones. I'll see if they make a difference.

Ho hum. Nearly time for the taxi. The last three days turned cool to quite chilly. Is it a good time to go!

No I'd rather leave on a high !

FreakinScaryCaaw · 20/03/2015 14:06

Did you see the eclipse?

SoonToBeMrsB · 20/03/2015 16:37

We watched it from the office window but it was a total let-down. The sky was totally obscured by thick grey clouds here (Glasgow) so when it got dark it just looked like any other miserable Glasgow morning. The clouds broke for thirty seconds so we got a glimpse of the eclipse but then it covered over again.

Hmph.

I may be blonde but I thought it just looked like the moon...crescent shaped but it was super cloudy so that's all I caught.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 20/03/2015 17:10

Cloudy here too. Youngest ds was very disappointed.

Dowser · 20/03/2015 23:39

Cloudy in Tenerife too.

So back to earth with a thud. A huge thud at that. I feel ginormous. Hopefully the damage won't be as bad as it feels right now.

FreakinScaryCaaw · 21/03/2015 16:58

Having a fairly lazy day today. We've been to the Marina for lunch, to a new place called the Conservatory. Had a light bite which was enough. I had an open beef sandwich, very nice.

Then to Morrisons for a huge shop. Dp is a transport manager for them and today was 20% off for staff. I bought some of those 10 cal jellies and just had one, was rather nice.

i'm off for a nap now.

Glad you're home safe Dowser.

SoonToBeMrsB · 21/03/2015 18:49

It's always rubbish coming home from a holiday, getting back to reality is depressing!

I joined SW group this morning and the consultant seems really nice. It's a bit out of my way but it's the only Saturday group for miles and it's nice not to be clock watching, feeling like I need to get back to cook dinner, etc like I do at the midweek groups. There were about 15 people who stayed after weighing in but she said that that's unusual and put it down to the fact that it was a beautiful sunny day.

I haven't messed up so far, DP brought home doughnuts and I had a nibble but decided that it wasn't nice enough to 'spend' 12 syns on. I'm going to stick with my planned Tunnock's tea cake tonight for 5.5 Smile

Thanks FSC and yes Mrs B, although it was a lot worse coming back from Florida as I would be jet lagged too and I often felt like crying.

Really weird sensation.

Had a lovely day today. All ten piled round for mothers day. Lovely bouquet of DIL and son and taken to the Toby carvery by daughter and SIL. Showed off my new dress and both girls genuinely thought it was lovely.

Got a GS staying tonight. If it wasn't for my lovely family I'd be off to the sun for the winter.

So diet went out out of the window. Had a nibble of birthday cake ( other GS yesterday) a SW biscuit...so to or row is another day...I believe vivien Leigh said in gone with the wind.

Well done mrs b for joining SW. You watch the weight will drop off now. I might have to join you.

All 12 of us are off to Cardiff on Sunday for the funeral. I'm so proud of them all. I just wish they could stay more than 1 night and I wish it was for a holiday with my lovely cousin.

Off tomorrow for the day....house is a tip. Toys all over, cases overflowing

Oh well ...tomorrow is another day ;-)

Judge me on what I do not the state of my house ;-)

FreakinScaryCaaw · 22/03/2015 14:21

Been to Durham today and had a nice shop and went to a lovely coffee shop. I had a plum flapjack, that was a first. Really nice and not too sweet.
Walked around the river. What a beautiful day it's been.
Off to see grandson now ?

SoonToBeMrsB · 22/03/2015 16:16

Glad everyone is having a good weekend. My food was perfect yesterday and perfect so far today. I went to the gym at lunch time, did a virtual spin class and some ab work - 549kcal burn in just under an hour. Home for a bath, did some laundry, wiped down the kitchen and just settled down with some lentil soup and a yoghurt. I won't need my dinner until bedtime at this rate, oops!

Mrs B ...tell them it's not acceptable. If I have a complaint I never take the first offer which is usually pathetic anyway.

They'll probably give you a refund and possibly tell you to accept the vouchers.

I fought for 6 months to get a total refund fro. Travelodge because the room wasn't acceptable. They tried to brush me off with a £50 voucher. I wasn't having it and carried on till I got my £176 and I got to keep the voucher.

If you are still not happy tell them you will accept nothing but a FULL refund!

Dowser · 22/03/2015 20:37

Did you really need the chocolate and gin and tonic after having such a brilliant day Dowser.

Obviously the tummy monster thought so.

Been home two days and what have I done.

Fun with family yesterday.

Dowsing today.

Need to unpack and then pack!!!

Dancingwitch · 22/03/2015 22:16

I slightly got my mojo back as we saw the PIL this weekend for the first time since the first weekend of Jan and they were both amazed at how much weight I had lost, how I had changed shape etc. In the 7yrs I have known them, PIL has occasionally made a comment on my weight loss to DP but not to me and MIL has never commented on it despite me being 13st 13 after giving birth to DC2 and 10st 4 now. I may have only lost 8lbs in the past 2.5 months but it seems to have made a difference.
I also saw the scales flicker with 10st 3 yesterday before settling at 10st 4 exactly. Hopefully I can get down to it this week... although didn't have the best weekend foodwise and have just decided it is too late to Shred tonight as I want to get up at 6am and go for a run.

Dowser - it must be disappointing to come back but it sounds as though you have had a lovely time with your family.

Dowser · 23/03/2015 08:41

That's great news DW.

Yes, my family are amazing and with the weather being so good yesterday it has helped to make the transition a bit more seamless.

The two girls, ( daughter and DIL ) loved my dress, so am well pleased with that.

Now the hard work starts....getting the house ship shape again, back on plan A( plan b doesn't appear to be working lol. Plan b at the moment is having a bit of what you fancy too often)

Like I didn't really need that g and t last night only the chocolate.

So, now. It's time for action.

Yawn....on 6 hours sleep. Yeah right!

Dancingwitch · 23/03/2015 10:31

Weight loss is a funny old thing. As I said, 10st 3 flashed up briefly on Saturday (having fasted & done a run on Friday) before the scales settled at exactly 10st 4. Today, after two days of normal eating including a roast, pudding, cheese on toast, macaroni cheese with garlic bread, chips etc I am 10st 3 & 2oz! Ran this morning & fasting again today so am wondering if I might see 10st 2 tomorrow & finally be off this plateau.
More excitingly, I ran for 5 mins today. And then did it again :-). I am really enjoying the C25K programme.

Dancingwitch · 24/03/2015 08:58

Well I didn't see 10st 2 on the scales this morning but that is because I am a mere 10st 1. Of course, I'm now glad that I (more or less) stuck to the diet rather than throw it all away.
How are the rest of you getting on?

SoonToBeMrsB · 24/03/2015 09:29

Woohoo that's great DW! It looks like you've broken through that plateau!

I was out of the office all day yesterday doing a course on presenting with confidence (load of shite, waste of a day) but I didn't eat the biscuits during the tea break and at lunch I went back over to my office to heat up my leftovers rather than eat the gorgeous buffet that they had put on (including salt and vinegar Kettle Chips, my absolute weakness!). I went to bootcamp and then home for a big plate of stodge - reduced fat sausages, mash, veg and gravy.

All in all a success.

OP posts:
Dowser · 24/03/2015 10:14

Wow, you were excellent there Mrs B. before my wheat free days I would have been at those biscuits and the buffet so that was excellent self control girl. Give yourself a huge pat on the back....well done! Now stick to it lol!

DW...what can I say. Isn't that just the best feeling. You must be so proud and I bet you look amazing.

It's all about getting back on that horse isn't it?

My extreme tiredness meant yesterday I just craved carbs and sugar so I just gave in and gave my body carbs and sugar. My shape is changing. Not sure it's in a good way either but I think it's as a result of getting older. My upper torso ie top of boobs is getting quite bony...think it's with the boobs slipping. Arms quite chunky, boobs waist belly and bum oh yes and hips seem to melt into one. Thighs, flabby and skinny legs from knees down.

So if I got weighed it probably wouldn't be a true record.

Anyway, not worrying about it. The dress fits, I don't look like ive eaten a small country in it so I shall contine to eat healthily like I do and just watch how much I gorge myself on treats.

Done no exercise since I came home...and no unpacking or packing either. I've business to attend to in town again today so when I'll get time....

Have a good day everyone ....stay strong mrs B , especially as it will be so worth it for your hols ;-)

Dancingwitch · 24/03/2015 13:39

Well done, Mrs B. That is a good show of will power.

Dowser, I used to feel as though my fat was evenly spread but if definitely have a tyre around my middle now.

Feeling really out of sorts today & suddenly realised it is connected to the fact that I had really broken sleep last night & was woken up at least 5 times by DP or the DC. I am craving chocolate but am reminding myself that, whilst it will taste nice, it won't make me feel any better. I'm not sure how long it will be until I succumb though.

Well done everyone.

I've been on night shift just getting up now. Didn't eat any crap last night.

I've got chicken stew in the slow cooker. I'll have it with some mashed swede and other veg.

Don't think I'll be doing much exercise?

Weight hasn't shifted. Dp is still doing really well but he's very strict and does more exercise.

Dowser · 24/03/2015 18:18

Yes, I need at least 7 hours sleep, 8 is better.

I started off the day so well till I reached out for the chocolate still lurking in the fridge.

So why did I then eat a very Sicikly flapjack with a cup of tea at 4pm.

Answers on a wet kipper and slap me round the face with it.!!!!

SoonToBeMrsB · 24/03/2015 21:09

Uh-oh, I came home early from college to find DP mid-binge, he looked horrified to see me home and was surrounded by wrappers, a pizza box and half a lemon drizzle cake. I'd never judge him because I know how hard it is to struggle with binges, I just hope that this isn't him slipping back to how he was a few months ago. When he is eating badly and feeling sluggish he becomes moody and unaffectionate - it affects all aspects of our relationship and I just hope this isn't the start of it because things have been so much better since New Year.
