Hi, I started on 1st Jan at 18st 10lbs and I have so much to lose, it would be lovely to share my journey with others who have over 6 stones to lose.

I know it's going to be a really long slog and I'll need help staying on the straight and narrow. I have to do it this year, no excuses!

So far I have lost 8.4lbs in first 11 days, but that seems tiny when I've got nearly nine stones to lose altogether. My goal is 10st.

Anyone out there? All buddies welcome Grin

OMG got Jillian Micheals yoga meltdown and thought i would give it a go, f**k me, managed 16 mins before collapsed on the floor clutching my sore muscles. Hubby who, tbf was just back from the gym agreed me with me that now was not the time and we switched it off.

I have swimming weds and might try 30 day shred later in the week if i can summon the courage.

Macloveswill · 19/01/2015 23:29

Welcome to our growing, happy, ladies with lots to lose thread Lorna!!
This is the year we get it off for good Grin

Roland....the weight WILL come off, so don't stress. I've just joined the boot camp and as Mrs said, the recipes look brilliant, so maybe try some new things and see if you can speed it up a bit?But that sounds fine to me!

I'm still brisk walking only so far. Even the sound of the shred scares me!

Oh and Mrs....I'm with you! my fat clothes are definitely going on eBay to prevent me ever going back to the dark side!

Quite a good day today but feeling a bit bleurgh. I will try a bovril with hot water to see if that sorts me out.

Had amazing asian style fried cauli rice with pork - yum and didnt miss the rice at all.

Hope everyone is having a good day

Mrsstevejones · 21/01/2015 08:01

Oh dear... rediscovered ebay and may have accidentally bought a few nice dresses in a size 16 (currently large 18), so really really need this to work now! They are summer dresses so have a bit of time.

Feeling knackered.... two children refusing to sleep=uurrgghhh

Macloveswill · 21/01/2015 11:14

No worries Mrs....you now have a tangible goal to aim for and you'll earn the money back when you can sell your bigger sizes. Result I'd say! I hope the babies are having a sleep by now and giving you a break!

Good day for me yesterday and going well so far today. TOM so weight loss has ground to a halt temporarily.

Spending today mostly sneezing from dust from clearing my office out. If I can lose another stone, I reckon I'll get cracking on sorting my clothes out too and will be able to sell/charity all my 20s and 22s. That will be a good day!

Hope you're all doing ok and the pounds are just dropping off for you this week Wink

Still havent gotten around to weighing and i know there is no point in doing my measurements again. I am just afraid xmas did more damage than i feared and if my weight is anything over 14st7 i will just cry. I am too impatient....just wanna be thin. Tried my skinny jeans on (16s) and nowhere near doing up - sigh

So inspire me how much have you lost and how long have you been at this...?

Feeling knackered and bleur today. Will get an early night and drink more water.

I didnt get swimming either so that wont have helped.

Hope everyone is having a better day x

Macloveswill · 21/01/2015 21:28

Don't fret about the number on the scales....it will come down to where it should be just the same, even if it takes a few weeks longer.

I started on the 1st Jan, so 3 weeks today and I've lost 14.1 lbs. but I have 122lbs to lose altogether, so just 10% along on my journey.

I feel very single minded about getting it all off once and for all. Something seems to have clicked, I've no idea why, I just know it's now or never.

OP posts:
Mrsstevejones · 21/01/2015 22:10

Wow well done Mac on your loss so far and your sense of determination. Glad something has clicked, its just becomes easy when that happens doesnt it? I need that to happen!

Had a chilled evening and drank water and hot bovril and feeling a bit better. I just made parmesan crisps and that really satisfied my need for a crunch but DH eat half of them!! cheek of it!!

Ideally 70lbs to loose but would be happy with 60.

Mrsstevejones · 22/01/2015 09:13

So i took the plunge and got DH to get the wii fit out and i weighed myself. It wasnt as bad as i feared in fact i am chuffed. I was 14st 9lb at xmas and now i am 14st 2lbs. I did start new yearish on a half hearted attempt at lcing ( and various other things) but have been hardcore since bootcamp started.

Headache has gone this morning and DS only woke once at 5am.

Just had my pint of hot water with lemon and am about to make BPC.

There is a small chance i might be in the 13stone range by the end of the month, this is my lowest weight since before the DC.

Yay.

Macloveswill · 23/01/2015 08:35

Well done on the weigh-in Mrs! Wonderful stuff....I bet you feel great now?!

Tonight is first big night out since I started....already got a bit of a plan for what I'll eat and drink, but who knows how I'll cope after a few glasses Smile looking forward to letting my hair down though!! Now for what an earth to wear.....

OP posts:
Macloveswill · 23/01/2015 08:36

Mac have fun out tonight.. bit jealous. A spirit and low cal mixer? No bread or carbs - beware i get minging hangovers if i low carb and drink and become a total light weight! Wear something fab you own already as it will be soon in the too big pile heading for ebay!!

Hubby is going to cook tonight, bit nervous as he doesnt do much (any) cooking although is fab at it, i just need him to follow the rules of bootcamp.
Without totally ruining the lovely gesture.

Was pleased with my weight, just need DC to sleep

Macloveswill · 23/01/2015 12:37

Ooh enjoy the hubs cooked meal. Is it date night? I'm thinking soft music, candles, moonlight....enjoy!! Wink

Yes I've been warned I may be tipsy after just a couple of glasses whilst LCing, so I will (try to) take it easy. Not looking forward to the hangover from hell though!

You're spot on about wearing something I've already got as it'll soon be in the TOO BIG pile.

Weight stayed same for 5th day in a row though, hoping it's just because of TOM.

Have a good weekend all! Roland and Terminator, come back and tell us your news too x

OP posts:
Mrsstevejones · 23/01/2015 13:10

Yeah cheapo date night, although with non sleeping kids may be an early night and not the fun variety, the catching up on sleep kind lol.

If you get a chance cook something nice and pop it in the fridge so if you do have a hangover from hell you will have something nice to tuck into and keep you on the straight and narrow.

I would bet in a few days you will hop on the scales and be 3lbs down, that always used to happen with me at TOM.

Yeah how is everyone else getting on....... ???? Good luck for the weekend

harryhausen · 23/01/2015 14:01

Can I join?

I have just over 5 stone to loose. I think I've been on nearly every diet thread on here for years - 5:2 (literally got dizzy before evening meal and nearly fell over), mindful eating (which I still try and adhere to), just using myfitnesspal (I just got super hungry!).

In November I had a breast reduction and the surgeon took just under 6 pounds of weight from my boobs. I hadn't weighed myself in ages and got on the scales recently expecting to weigh much lighter. I'm actually the heaviest I've ever been at 15.7 lbs! God knows what I weighed before the OP!
So I'm now in the strange position if boobs feeling and looking much lighter, but I feel even worse all overGrin.

Last week I joined SW and am trying to follow their new plan which is basically low carb and doing couch25k.

I'm desperate. I think I'm an emotional eater. I also work long hours only own at my desk at home. Not good for moving around!

Mrsstevejones · 23/01/2015 15:05

Hello Harry welcome. Good luck with SW and the c25k, i did that the other year and it really works, never been a runner - got pregnant and didnt start again! oooppss

Macloveswill · 23/01/2015 15:06

Get Harry, of course you can join, welcome!

You're in a very similar position to the rest of us on the thread....slim people stuck inside a big body but ready to do something about it once and for all.

I had a breast reduction 13 years ago. It's a big op, you're doing really well to be exercising already. Do you have a goal in mind...weight or size?

OP posts:
Macloveswill · 23/01/2015 15:09

Mrs....sending sleepy vibes to your children Grin

Great idea about food for tomorrow, I just have to stay on the straight and narrow and keeping my fingers crossed that your 3lb off prediction comes true!

OP posts:
harryhausen · 23/01/2015 15:26

Thanks everyone.

I'm 5ft 6 and I'd like to 10 stone. I can't remember the last time I was.

The boobs are healing well and the surgeon has said I can jog. He's seeing me again in 6 months and I'd like to be slimmer xx

harryhausen · 23/01/2015 15:27

Do you all have a particular weighing in day on this thread, or is it just whenever you feel like sharingSmile

Macloveswill · 23/01/2015 15:50

We're all different, I weigh every day, some once a week, at least one has hidden the scales Grin so just share whenever you like.

My goal's 10 stone too!

Would be great if your surgeon doesn't recognise you in six months time!

OP posts:
harryhausen · 23/01/2015 16:03

Thanks Mac. My weigh in day is Thursday so I'll stick with that. Good to know you're aiming for the same.

Mrsstevejones · 24/01/2015 13:27

Hi Mac how did your night out go? Fun? Where you good-ish????Hope you feel fab today.

I boo hooed all DHs dinner suggestions as too carby, so we had bacon and cauli (brussel sprout and leek and broccoli) cheese with streaky bacon - yum. Had the bonus of teaching DH another recipe, its all part of my master plan to get him to cook more and make bootcamp suitable food - evil grin!

Onwards and downwards....

Macloveswill · 24/01/2015 17:07

Ooh tummy rumbling reading about your dinner Mrs...sounds yum! Let's hope your budding apprentice chef gets a taste for cooking for you! Mine isn't a bad cook, but tonight he's just throwing a couple of steaks on the grill for an early dinner.Confused

Night out was fabulous, thankyou! Such a brilliant night with lovely friends and I managed to stay LC...goats cheese with salad starter and beef main with celeriac mash, copious (!!) vodka and slimline tonics and just one glass of prosecco for toasting, followed by a good old boogie, so will have burned off most of the food too. And not been derailed by my hangover either, which is a new high for me...so far yoghurt and berries and sausages and the obligatory babybels Grin

Yay to managing LC in a social situation...nailed it Smile

Hope you're all enjoying the weekend!
