Hiya

I'll kick start this thread off, I joined WW last Friday and have 1 stone and 9lbs to loose. If I loose more all the better. Good luck everybody!

Hi Naughtynoonoo,
I joined ww about 10 weeks ago and have lost a stone (very pleased with self!) so far want to loose another stone so back to pre-preg weight. Good luck everyone!!

LynnC · 28/09/2006 09:19

Hi Naughtynoonoo and katyjo - rejoined again last night and have got 1stone and 7 1/2 pounds to get to target weight but like you to loose more would be an extra bonus. I have gone with full choice, mainly because I know roughly the points and didnt have a chance to read through the book properly to find out how no count worked but did notice you can change week by week if wanted to so at least the option is there.

Well done katyjo thats a huge amount for a short time, no wonder your pleased. Are you finding it easy? I'm on day one and dreading it already but sure after the weigh in I will get more motivated. Good luck for tomorrow's weigh in Naughty.

I joined three weeks ago, have lost 6 pounds with loads to go. I will be slim one day

CMac · 28/09/2006 09:31

Great to hear that it's working for people! I joined weightwatchers online 2 weeks ago and have lost 8lbs so far (big loss first week and more sustainable one second week). Another stone to go...

Anyone else doing it online?

LynnC · 28/09/2006 09:50

Hi Tawny 75 & CMac - you two are doing well too. I'm hoping for big loss first week too, it helps to keep you going. No not doing it online although did consider it - do you find it easy to stay motivated doing it online?

Beetroot · 28/09/2006 09:51

I lost 7 and then over the summer put on 7 and now have 7 to lose again!

Put on 1 last week so this week and trying to be really careful.

So far fine, but then its early days! I did it online in between my 2 children and lost just over a stone (needed to lose another half stone or so really). I found I stuck to it ok till Christmas came along and then it all went to pot and I just kind of forgot about it. That's where I think having a meeting to go to might have rescued me and got me back on track. Mind you at that time we were already thinking about having another baby so I figured there wasn't much point in losing more.

This time i'm hoping to get to target BEFORE Christmas

LynnC · 28/09/2006 10:40

target weight before christmas would be fantastic. I suppose with 12 weeks to go and if we can loose 1 to 2 lbs a week it is possible. Oh the thought of being slimmer by then (and back into some of my old clothes) putting a nice big smile on my face

alicat3 · 28/09/2006 13:39

i have been going to ww for 3 weeks now and i have also been exercising - i've really stuck to it but have been disappointed with my weight loss, a lb the first week, 2 and a half the second and just a lb again last week i am doing full choice. i had my baby daughter 4 months ago and we are going away at xmas! i've got 2 stone to loose to be back to my pre pregnancy size! pretty disappointed with the weight loss especially as other who joined at the same time as me are loosing 4-5 lbs a week!!!

LynnC · 28/09/2006 14:17

hi alicat3 - your doing well considering your dd is only 4 months. I could not have faced the thought of dieting so soon afterwards. Do you think because you are excercising you may well be building muscle and toning up which is better overall than just weight loss?

Hi - I've been going for 9 weeks, have lost 21lbs and am really enjoying it! I found the first couple of weeks very hard - to stop eating all the rubbish I had been, but I'm doing the no count, which suits me because I'm rubbish at recording everything I've eaten, but I just stick to the basics, slightly smaller portions and it's going well so far.

alicat3 · 28/09/2006 14:58

thanks for the encouragement! be interesting this week as i have only been to the gym once and i am going out for a meal tonight! i think the major shock was how much weight i put on whilst i was pregnant

fairyjay · 28/09/2006 16:16

alicat3
I joined last week, only to find that dh had arranged a gourmet treat for our anniversary, which blew everything apart. But somehow I still managed to lose 4.5 lbs. I know that won't keep up, but it gave me a boost. It would be so nice to not have to go through my wardrobe thinking 'that doesn't fit' in a morning!

katyjo · 28/09/2006 23:48

Hi,
You ladies are all doing great!! alicat3 1lb a week is fab, I have had weeks where I lost nothing or just 1/21b, if you lose weight at a staedy pace you are more likely to keep it off, don't get disheartened the weight will come off it just takes time.
LynneC good luck with your weigh-in, I do full choice too, I need to be able to eat what I want if I restrict myself too much I wouldn't stick to it!! I always try to wear heavy clothing for the first weigh-in then light clothes for the subsequent weigh in gives me a real buzz to keep going.
I lost 2 stone on ww before falling pregnant with ds, the slimest I have ever been in my life!! I think the secret is aloowing yourself the occassional treat, meal out trying to eat the healthier option, but don't go overboard if I deny myself too much I binge. Allow yourself what you want, have a bad day but make sure you carry on tomorreow!!
Good luck everyone!!

fairyjay · 29/09/2006 13:49

So tell me, how do I not eat the lovely iced bun I'm looking at, that dh has so kindly bought for me - not knowing that I'm trying to lose weight!!

It's gazing at me......come and eat me.....only 4 measly little points.....

Naughtynoonoo · 29/09/2006 15:12

2.5lbs this week, I can see myself being on my way to becoming "Slimmer of The Year" at this rate. I just have to say I am going to stick with it this time, by Christmas I will be where I wanna be. Well done to everybody else with their weight loss

Well done naughtynoonoo - that's excellent I'm hoping for 2lbs this week - weigh day is Wednesday.

So come clean fairyfly - did you eat it? I'm sure I would have!

LynnC · 03/10/2006 11:33

well dont naughtynoonoo. I'm hoping for 3lb this week with it being my first week on it and also get weighed tomorrow. Good luck for tomorrow and hope you get your 2lb CMac.

Yes come on fairyfly did you manage to resist??

fairyjay · 03/10/2006 11:50

No I didn't. I went to get it, but somebody else had got there first!!!

I haven't been brilliant this week though - and it's weigh-in tonight. Fingers crossed.

CMac · 03/10/2006 14:53

Damn! Still - you get to keep the moral high ground! Good luck tonight.

CMac · 04/10/2006 09:19

Hmm - lost one pound this week. I know I should be pleased as at least it's a loss, but I was really hoping for 2lb as i thought i'd been pretty good this week (and i lost 2 last week when I wasn't as good...) Still, I can get back into another pair of trousers (comfortably) that were still a bit too tight last week so something is working
Good luck to everyone else
