Hiya

I'll kick start this thread off, I joined WW last Friday and have 1 stone and 9lbs to loose. If I loose more all the better. Good luck everybody!

Everyone seems to be doing really well its so good to see. As for me I've done a u-turn. After putting a pound on last week its left me feeling really demoralised. I'm starting to think that maybe losing weight so soon after the birth of my dd (3 months) and still partly bf is not a good idea. I haven't even lost inches. BUT after reading all your messages its given me some incentive to carry on. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

caffeinequeen · 23/10/2006 13:16

Hello
Did WW a couple of years ago and it did work quite well. Since then , eating ahem normally have let the figure on the scales creep up a little bit.
But not near a meeting and don't like doing it online - it would distract from MN time apart from anything else
Can anyone tell me how I know how many points I can eat a day?
TIA

glitterchick · 23/10/2006 20:08

I joined Weight Watchers today. Wanna lose 2 stone by next May (family knees up!) Wish me luck.

LynnC · 25/10/2006 10:54

my weigh in tonight and not looking forward to it, even though I have been reasonably good my scales in work are saying I have put on 3lb They are not the most reliable so hoping it wont be same result tonight. I did buy their chocolate crisp biscuits to curb my cravings but disappointed in them - not quite the same as a galaxy

Hi caffinequeen - I dont have my book with me and they calculate your points on weight, age, etc now but I am still the same points as I was from the old system which was

8st to 10st - 18 points
10st to 12st - 20 points
12st to 14st - 22 points etc - hope that helps and good luck and sure if its wrong someone else can let you know.

Good luck Glitterchick at least you have a goal to work to - sure you can do it.

enyfeffer how you doing? I think doing this when your LO is only 3 months is fantastic and you are doing great. I could not have focused enough when dd was that young so good on you. Try not to give up you will be glad later on and not get like me 22months down the line with even more to loose!

enyfeffer · 25/10/2006 17:32

I managed to stay the same this week even after a bad week of "whatever"!!!!! And this week hasn't gone off to a good start either. I am gonna stick with it though. Thankyou Lynnc for your words of encouragement. Will see how this week goes

LynnC · 26/10/2006 15:18

well at least you didnt put on anything so thats a good sign.

I didnt make it last night, ended up having to work late so dont know how I have done this week!

good luck everyone else

Naughtynoonoo · 26/10/2006 22:07

Been very naughty this week, so am legging it instead of going to tomorrows meeting. Getting very bored with it now, may go to low carbs or Gilliam McKeith as these also worked for me in the past. My BIG problem is keeping the weight off.

Mind if I join in?
I rejoined WW two weeks ago and lost 5 pounds in the first week, 3 pounds the second - very pleased etc etc, but I know what will happen now as it's happened before. I lose weight very quickly as soon as I stop overeating, then because I lose so much so rapidly I fall back into my old habits and put even more back on. I would like to lose another 8lbs in the next three weeks as I have an event to go to, but it needs to stay off this time.
I started off at 11st5 and I'm 5ft2.5, and they put me on 18 points to start with and now I'm below 11st that will go down to 17! Does that seem too low? DSis (also with WW)and my dieting buddy both think so.

enyfeffer · 30/10/2006 20:49

Had my weigh in today and once again i have'nt lost a thing. I think I'm just gonna eat normal but healthy and wait awhile. Finish BF and get christmas out the way then start afresh. Is this a cop out. Hope every one else is doing well

helsy · 02/11/2006 13:28

My meeting is tonight - think I've put on or stayed the same as it's not been a good week. Anyone else being weighed tonight?

helsy · 04/11/2006 21:48

I stayed the same. Concerted effort this week. How did everyone else do?

Well I've had a bit of a blip and put 2lb back on but it's my own fault. Stopped filling in my 'Trackers' and been baking for DS and eating the results!!! Good news is I found a little black dress for the Xmas party I'm going to and it makes me look really slim so I'm determined to have one last push before Xmas & lose another half a stone. First time in years I've looked at myself in a mirror and thought "not bad, girl, not bad at all!"

helsy · 06/11/2006 22:25

Dior I may try no count in a couple of weeks but for now I'm sticking with points as I want to be sure I lose weight for an event in ten days. Bit of a blip this week - went shopping yesterday, not very enjoyable, and at 3pm realised I hadn't eaten or drunk since 8am so I had a halloumi salad! After eating most of it, I remembered halloumi is flipping CHEESE. (I was tired). Today I've been ill so I've eaten more than usual. Evogirl if you're generally losing I'm sure +2lbs is ok, if not too good for the ego - the trick seems to be not to get back into old habits!

Another 1lb off this week which I was quite surprised at but very pleased . Have to be more strict this week as I've been quite laid back and not filling in tracker all the time which will eventually lead to me giving up again mmmm hot choc - how many points is that Dior?? I bought the choc crisps at a meeting but they are not very nice and certinly dont take away the choc craving.

well done Dior thats fantastic! you will be back to your old self in no time at this rate.

Ta much but dont worry I can work it out when I get home, you just really put me in the notion for a nice hot choc and I was going to get one at lunchtime - but I was good and will wait to see if I have enough points - or maybe go in favour for a wee tipple of something better at the weekend when couple of friends pop round

exactly my thoughts, used to enjoy a cold beer in summer in lovely summer sunshine but changed to vodka now to save points (or really to have more ) enjoy...enjoy!

helsy · 09/11/2006 22:03

Well done Dior!
Another 4lbs loss here this week - so I obviously got away with the halloumi salad faux pas. Had a "normal" meal tonight as DH says Weightwatchers night is a free night. Pork chops, mash and mushrooms. yum. Couldn't eat it all, though (polishes halo with little skinny hands).

I know Dior, but to be honest I still ate extremely sensibly and I doubt I went very far over my points. It's just nice to feel that I'm not watching the points like a hawk all the time.
