Hiya

I'll kick start this thread off, I joined WW last Friday and have 1 stone and 9lbs to loose. If I loose more all the better. Good luck everybody!

Half a pound this week - not too good - but then I didn't deserve it really!! Every bit helps though.

LynnC · 05/10/2006 09:41

4 1/2 off cant believe I managed so much! As you can guess I'm just a little chuffed!

CMac I think 1 to 2 lbs each week is pretty good and found in the past the same always happened to me, I seemed to do better when I less expected it. But well done for getting back into your trousers. And try not be too hard on yourself Fairyjay your still heading in the right direction and you did so well last week so 5lb in two weeks is pretty good!

Good luck everyone.

fairyjay · 05/10/2006 13:07

Well done LynnC! Trying hard to improve on my half a pound next week

CMac · 06/10/2006 15:50

That's fantastic LynnC! Good to get a big loss the first week to keep momentum going!

Naughtynoonoo · 09/10/2006 15:57

Well done everybody on your weight losses. I also managed to loose a wooping half a pound last week, i'm so ungrateful at least I didn't put it on. Really trying hard at it this week, my downfall is not writing everything down and not drinking enough water, I spend too much time in the toilet as it is! Hope this week continues to go well.

I managed to put on a pound this week. Does that win any kind of award?

enyfeffer · 11/10/2006 22:15

Hiya. I,ve just joined mumsnet and its so good to see i,m not alone with a slight weight issue. I managed to put on a staggering 3 stone while pregnant with my baby girl of 2 1/2 months. I,ve been doing ww for about 1 month and i've only lost half a stone. i must admit my excercise level is non exsistant and i'm not drinking enough water, but i'm worried my willpower will cease b4 i see any real improvement.

JoeTwoTies · 11/10/2006 22:22

Stick with it....you can do it. I am just focusing on the end result when I shall look like Claudia schiffer........!!

enyfeffer · 11/10/2006 22:40

I,m starting excercises on a home gym ball 2moro, hopefully that will help and will increase my water intake.

LynnC · 12/10/2006 09:02

1/2 half lb on for me hope everyone else does better this week - good luck!

Naughtynoonoo · 13/10/2006 13:28

I am getting a bit down hearted with this weightwatchers diet. I have been so goood and what do i loose - ZERO lb. I am beginning to wonder what is the point, maybe this is not the diet for me.

I started 3 weeks ago weighing in at 11 stone 9. The first week I lost a wopping 2.5lbs, the second 1lb and now the third wig a might 0lbs. The lady spent about 20 seconds with me and when I told her I have been excellent this week, she said it will probably show up next week. My clothes are defo looser on me, so can't see what the prob is. I had the coil fitted about 2 years ago, could this be the cause of me not loosing the weight. Please send me some motivation to stick with it. I want to be slim again.

naughtynoonoo, have you tried the measuring tape. they do say you lose inches as well as weight. I know what you mean though it is hard i haven,t lost any for about 3 weeks.

Overtiredmum · 13/10/2006 17:15

Can I join please I have between two and three stone to lose, using the full choice system. I cannot attend the meetings tho because all the local ones to me are in the evenings and I worked evenings Monday to Friday . So all the encouragement and support you can give will help! Started today and so far have been really good! Good luck everyone!

LynnC · 17/10/2006 09:46

hi how is everyone doing? have you been managing to stick to it?

my weigh-in is tomorrow again but not looking forward to it - I seem to do fine during the week but struggle to stay within points at weekend and like Naughtynoonoo getting a bit fed up already but dont want to give up. Will update on whatever I loose/put on!

Good luck everyone else.

enyfeffer · 17/10/2006 20:30

Had my weigh in yesterday and managed to put on a pound. The way i'm looking at it now is that when i do start to lose it, it may just fall off. Still all this healthy food has got to be better than what i was eating before. Good luck to all.

EvoGirl · 18/10/2006 17:45

I haven't joined WW as never have anyone to care for DS while I attend meetings and think it's pointless just geting weighed and then leaving - need the pep talks as well really. Am using Pure Points books from a couple of years ago and weighing myself at the gym on Monday mornings. First week 5lb off, 2nd week 1 1/2lb off so going in the right direction. Finding it difficult to stay motivated though and tend to comfort/boredom eat. Anyone got any good tips for sticking with the programme?

LynnC · 19/10/2006 10:16

hi everyone - 3lbs off this week so back to the happy face

your doing great EvoGirl on your own. Do you feel a difference in your clothes and how you feel? I am one of those people who goes to the class purely for the weigh in and leaves, simply because I have done ww a couple of times before and just dont have time to sit in classes now. But before I joined I didnt have willpower to do it on my own.

I tend not to buy many treat things for the house so I'm not too tempted or when I do buy biscuits etc for anyone else I buy ones I dont like so I know I wont eat them.

Stick with it youve done great so far.

How is everyone else getting on?

LynnC · 19/10/2006 10:18

hi sorry also meant to ask how the measuring went enyfeffer? have you noticed a difference?

try not to worry about your 1lb on everyone gets weeks like that, hopefully you will loose it easy enough next week.

EvoGirl · 19/10/2006 13:33

Only 1/2lb off this week Knew I'd been bad - naughty DH persuading me to have a chinese takeaway on Friday and a curry on Saturday plus I've got PMT so I go into carb-comfort-eating overdrive. Must try harder. Will spend 30 mins in gym after Pilates next week.

Well done LynnC, 3lb off is fab

LynnC · 19/10/2006 14:37

thats not bad EvoGirl 1/2lb off and still having those yummy foods sounds good. mmmmmmm in the mood for a chinese now!

Naughtynoonoo · 20/10/2006 13:03

After doing so well the week before last and loosing a massive zilch, I was very naughty last weekend, had a chinese, lots of sweets etc and guess what I lost 2.5 lbs, so thats 5.5lbs so far. I was going to give up if I hadn't lost anything or gained, but will try to stick with it and see how I go. Just goes to show you 'can have your cake and eat it' doesn't it. Maybe it's because I had a dodgy stomach last night! Sounds like everybody has done well this week - well done and have a great weekend

Overtiredmum · 20/10/2006 17:07

My first week over and my first weigh in ...... and I lost 3.5lbs!! Am well happy and off to TGIs tomorrow evenings with family and friends so am gonna have a treat Well done everyone, lets keep it up!

EvoGirl · 20/10/2006 18:41

Went to the gym this morning, usual aerobics instructor on holiday and the stand-in was like an army drill sergeant. How did I ever get to be this unfit? Think I've done myself a permanent injury! If I don't lose at least 3lb this week I shall sulk most righteously

Overtiredmum · 20/10/2006 19:36

Well done you for getting to the gym! I cancelled my membership cos after having DS last year just don't find the time to go these days

DastardlyDevilishDior · 21/10/2006 10:56

I rejoined on Thursday am, but it was my birthday yesterday. We are at a wedding tomorrow and out for lunch on Monday. I am taking ds to cinema today and won't be able to resist the pic 'n' mix . Anyweay, I thought I would join so that I at least think more about eating less and hopefully eat more fruit too!
