Hiya

I'll kick start this thread off, I joined WW last Friday and have 1 stone and 9lbs to loose. If I loose more all the better. Good luck everybody!

Hi everyone, well I didnt make my class so dont know the extent of damage I did from last week. I fully intended to go to face the music only my road/pathway was flooded when I got home last night and I got soaked trying to get into the house there was no way I was going back out again.

Anyway I have started well today and hope to keep it up and although I'm not at the goal I set myself for christmas I've set a new one for end of January so just need to focus on that now.

westerngirl - well done you thats fantastic! laughing at the selection boxes note - burn them all evil evil (yummy) things!

sunchowder · 15/12/2006 20:56

Hello Everyone! I just weighed in yesterday and lost another 1.6 pounds so I am pleased with that! We are leaving for our holiday cruise on Sunday and I hope that the week goes brilliantly in terms of eating! We'll see, I will need all your support if I do put anything on to get me back on the wagon. I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas, I will be back on 12/25 so I will post on my return. I love this thread.

SueW · 18/12/2006 20:29

Sunchowder - missed your message before. Well done and hope you are enjoying your cruise

Weigh-in for me today - lost 2.5lbs. I think I am now 1lb off 10%. Sadly I didn't make it before Xmas which was my intention but if I make it on my own scales by next Sunday I am counting it!

No WW now until 2 Jan. And I've finished school now until 9 Jan so in theory I could go back to school half a stone lighter and people might suddenly notice I've lost weight!

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 19/12/2006 22:22

Aaaargh! I have completely lost the plot since my weigh-in last week. Weekend away but I stopped following the plan Wednesday before the weekend! Bloody hell...

LynnC · 20/12/2006 11:38

dont get too down Dior I'm sure you will be back on track soon enough. Did you have a nice weekend?

My weigh in tonight (still not doing my tracker) but feel fairly confident I've been doing ok so will post tomorrow with results just hope Ive made up from my off the rails weekend two weeks ago.

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 20/12/2006 11:57

Well, good luck Lynn! No, I don't think I will get back on track now, until after Christmas .

SueW · 20/12/2006 13:11

Aw, go on Dior. Lots of veggies, soups and fruit when not indulging for Xmas.

I've found vegetarian food is my key to stopping over-indulgence. Veggie chilli, aubergine curry etc help no end.

LynnC · 20/12/2006 13:42

SueW is right Dior, you can do it, or even just being sensible will be enough to get you through and who knows you might even surprise yourself and still loose something. No faces allowed at christmas! If we can all aim to at least not put on anything over Christmas we will be doing well.

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 21/12/2006 12:19

Thanks you two. I'm just not in the right frame of mind really. I didn't go this morning to my meeting. Might drag myself along to the one tonight (that I used to run, so at least I'll see my old clerks). I suppose, as dh is off work, I have no excuse not to...do I?

LynnC · 21/12/2006 12:42

hi 1lb off for me, one more for a stone

come on Dior be positive, go along tonight and get it over with (oh feel like a bit of de-ja-vu from your post last week!), it will help over the christmas and new year, even if it is disappointing you enjoyed your weekend which is the main thing. You will soon be back on track and boost of seeing all familiar faces as well will help.

Hope you all have teriffic christmas and new year and speak soon to see how you have all been getting on x

SueW · 21/12/2006 23:39

Well done LynnC.

How did it go Dior?

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 22/12/2006 11:46

I didn't go

Well done Lynn!

SueW · 27/12/2006 21:16

How did XMas go then, ladies?

I didn't track at all and was unsurprised to find I had put on weight this morning on my scales. But there is time to lose it before my next meeting next Tuesday so I'm feeling ok about it.

DaisyRose · 30/12/2006 00:10

Hello don't know if any of you can help me but I'm thinking about starting weightwatchers and wanted some info on the 'No Count' plan. My baby is 7 months old and I tried the full points plan and found I became obsessed with food, counting, trying to use my exercise bike and it drove me mad! The 'No Count' sounds easier to me - have any of you tried it and if so what do you think? I tried low-carb about 3 years ago and found it was great - too hard to do now I have a partner and baby but was worried the 'No Count' incorporates too many carbs - can anyone advise? Thank you! x

SueW · 01/01/2007 11:20

Hi DaisyRose. Can't help with No Count as I am a control-a-holic who enjoys 'spending' my daily points allowance and keeping track so I have never done No Count.

From the time I have spent at meetings, it doesn't seem unusual for people doing No Count to go off the rails after a few weeks and have to count points for a week or two to get them back to understanding portion sizes. Mind you that can also happen to counters who lose track of what size a medium banana is!

SueW · 02/01/2007 17:14

Today I.....

.... lost 1.5lbs and reached my 10%

Good start to the year!

kslatts · 02/01/2007 17:22

Hi, can I join please?

I lost 11.5 pounds in 5 weeks before xmas and am due to go tomorrow and am dreading getting on the scales. Haven't been weighed for 3 weeks and know that I have put some on over xmas just not sure how much. I have loads to loose.

Well done SueW.

westerngirl · 02/01/2007 23:24

SueW, that is brillant. You must have a will of iron, you paragon. How on earth did you do that over Christmas? I insist you tell me how you did it! Were there no boxes of Roses or Celebrations in your home? Ashamed to admit I picked out all the hazelnut whirls and brazilian darkness ones to stash when opening the box (didn't shy away from the others either).

Kslatts, afraid I'm also dreading weigh-in tomorrow. Oh well, down but not out.

SueW · 03/01/2007 11:28

I lost weight before Xmas in prep for the guzzlefest! The week before Xmas saw me running round like mad whereas I am usually stuck at a desk for 6-7 hours a day with very little opportunity to do more than stretch occasionally. In the week before Xmas, I lost about 3lbs (I wieghed myself on Xmas morning!) and then enjoyed Xmas and got back on track straight after.

We have a 2.2kg tin of Roses in the house but they are upstairs in DD's room. She and her friends have eaten all the ones they like and I think it's still over half full of unwanteds. I don't really like them, tbh. Bread and cheese are my downfall.

Good luck to you Westerngirl and Kslatts for your weighing-in today.

kslatts · 03/01/2007 12:45

Went to weight watchers at lunchtime and have put on 3.5 pounds, I haven't been weighed for 3 weeks though so could of been worse. I'm now back at work and am feeling really motivated so hopefully I'll lose next week.

Alibobbles · 04/01/2007 11:41

One of you gals must know how many points a day a bloke can have who is 17st 11? He's 6ft 2 but he's had far too many cheeky Stellas over the festive period....

Alibobbles · 04/01/2007 11:46

Somebody has recommended 32 points. Wish I was allowed that many

LynnC · 04/01/2007 14:18

Hi everyone 3lb on for me too. Nevermind a new start this week and hope for better result next week.

Well done SueW good for you.
