Hiya

I'll kick start this thread off, I joined WW last Friday and have 1 stone and 9lbs to loose. If I loose more all the better. Good luck everybody!

Morning - need some advise.

Husband and i want (opps - need!) to join WW again (we did it for the wedding 7 years ago)

The way it worked last time was i cooked 2 of the three meals , he told me what else he'd eaten and I added the points up for both of us.

Can we do WW online with only one suscription?

Thanks Allye.

Hello...ive headed over from the other thread (as instructed ). Need to lose 1.5 stone...half of which by 12th Dec when i go on holiday. My weigh in day is a thursday.

Had a bad day yesterday, stopped counting at 30 points!! Aim to get right back on it today though.

Wisp · 14/11/2006 09:33

I moved over from the other thread too
I managed to stick to 18 points yesterday, and spent the points wisely, so ate loads!
I have already lost 4 1/2 stone, and have another 17lbs left to get to my pre children weight.
Ive been on the cambridge diet for 2 months, but now am following WWs as I lost loads on it back in 2002 and I have to eat normal food again at some point! I would love to lose 10lbs before Christmas.

thehairybabysmum · 14/11/2006 10:25

Where i work we have an evil (but lovely) laday from the canteen who comes round with a trolley full of homemade goodies and chocolate...she is here now!! I am posting here and eating 3 jaffacakes (3 pts)that i bought in rather than succummbing to the lure of a cheese scone (with butter)...8 pts!!

Shes gone now...saved for the day !

Hello again dior...if you are weak in M&S they do a 99 cal choc bar which is only 2 points or you could get one of their prepared fruit salads...v. lazy but that is what makes it a treat IYSWIM, or maybe you could treat yourself to a hot choc whlist you are out??

Hello weightwatchers!

(I did it Dior!)

Argh, just been told off by my consultant - had an op last week(stop lifting, no driving for three weeks ) so of course what do I want to do.... EAT, EAT, EAT! I'm limiting it to a bag of iced gems but what I really want is a giant bag of mini eggs. sigh.

Dior
Poor you! It's almost like you told yourself it was going to happen before you left the house.I get in that mindset too, thinking "ooh Im off to the shops-mmmm chocolate" then because I've been thinking about it I then go and do it, and kick myself afterwards.
Put it behind you, and don't let it throw you off track for the rest of the week.
Ive done that sooo many times in the past.
One bar of chocolate isn't going to add pounds, so just keep going- you can do it

That's coming from me who had all my points allowance before 1pm !! vegetables for tea now!

SueW · 14/11/2006 16:33

Why blown this week Dior? Can you not claw it back?

I have lost 13.5lbs so far with WW in five weeks. Only another year to go. I don't need to lose another 135lbs - I just want a sensible timescale to my weight loss.

sunchowder · 14/11/2006 16:38

I joined WeightWatchers over here in the US, it will be two weeks on Thursday. I have 110 pounds to lose myself. First week I lost 6.4 pounds, we will see the results this Thursday. Because I have so much to lose, I know this will become my life for a long time to go to be successful. I am feeling excited and stable with it at the moment--I so much want this feeling to last. It is nice to see this thread.

Wisp · 14/11/2006 16:44

I lost 80lbs in 2002, in 9 months on WWs after having my first child.I stuck to the diet to a T, and started two exercise classes a week.
It can be done, and it really is just watching the weeks go by and the weight come off.
The results on the scales every week give the determination and a good feeling that gets you through the rest of the week
SueW almost a stone already- thats brilliant!

sunchowder · 14/11/2006 16:52

That is inspirational Wisp! And you kept the weight off? That is really fantastic.

Wisp · 14/11/2006 17:20

Well a few months after reaching my target weight became pregnant with DD, then when she was 6 months old had a surprise to find out we were going to have a third child
I've had to re-lose all the weight all over again, but well worth it for my 3 DC
I have 17lbs left to go to get to my ultimate goal of 119lbs-which I still can't believe!!
No more children either, so no excuses its for good this time!

SueW · 14/11/2006 17:26

Well done Wisp. I have been here before - lost a lot, some on my own, some with WW back in 2000 but I put it back on

Go for it Sunchowder. I lost 6.5lb - almost the same as you - my first week. Only needed a measly half pound to get my silver seven but blew it on tiramisu and a curry and stayed the same.

Now I only need a measly half pound off next week for another silver seven (who says you grow out of being motivated by stickers?!) and I am NOT blowing it this time!!

sunchowder · 14/11/2006 18:10

I am going to like this thread! I have been eating a lot of soups. Anyone that wants basic recipes, I will be happy to share. I am eating a pumpkin, sweet potato, with red peppers, onions, and fresh corn. I made it with Rice Milk and you would never know it.

danceswithmonkeys · 14/11/2006 19:21

Ooh, soup recipes for me please, for those days when I just can't say no to a crunchie!

Actually what I'm really after is a really good, low fat sausage casserole recipe. Does anyone have one?

Thanks

SueW · 14/11/2006 22:13

I have bags of pre-prepared carrot batons in the fridge to nibble on instead of biscuits.

I use a little notebook for my food diary and the first points figure I put down at the beginning of each day is three points for milk. This is because I can't get skimmed milk at work for my two cups of tea. It also allows me to have a warm milky drink in evening if I am hungry but if I'm not, I can carry a point forward.

thehairybabysmum · 15/11/2006 08:35

Morning, good to see you've moved over too.

Dior, dont think you've blown the week...just think i enjoyed my treat even though i shouldnt have had it and forget it and start afresh today. These things happen to all of us i reckon so don't feel bad.

I made a sausage cass at the weekend for my bub just with some onions, carrots etc put into a dish with some pre grilled sausages then added some stock. I just cooked it in the oven for about 1 hr. Thicken with cornflour if needs be.

I didnt point it as was for the LO but i reckon it is just the sausages as the veg would be free (plus the mash potato you will have with it of course!!).

danceswithmonkeys · 15/11/2006 08:59

Morning all! A day of temptation for me, I go to a coffee morning this morning where we sit round a massive table full of homebaked goodies (cakes, scones etc)...it's torture They do cut up veg as well so I'll be nibbling on those, JUST as tasty as cake

danceswithmonkeys · 15/11/2006 09:01

Oh and Dior, I'd just start afresh too. One slip up doesn't necessarily mean a week blown, honestly. It's so d*mn tempting when you're shopping isn't it?
