Anyone aiming for 10stone?

Hello!
I'm looking for someone to kind of compete (in a friendly way) to get to 10 stone.
Me and a friend once decided that neither of us would eat any chocolate, biscuits, cake etc and kind of competed and I did well at it but he crumbled!

Anyway about me:
I'm 5 foot 4
11st 6
Size 10-12 on top
12-14 on bottom

Planning on running and a bit of strength training for my exercise, I think diet will be the hard part.

If you think you'd like to pair up or form a group to lose weight together that'd be great Smile

Weigh in today another 3lbs off so that's 18lbs in 5 weeks am so chuffed. Not a sole has mentioned my loss though I don't get it as I think it's noticeable am gutted lol. Have worked so hard. Now 10.7 so half a stone to go!!!

breward · 21/06/2014 22:03

Wow! 18lbs in 5 weeks, that's brilliant. I bet you feel better for it.

What is your diet/exercise plan? I'm sticking with mfp and I'm fascinated to see my nightly figures once exercise and food are calculated.

Last 4 weeks at work for me. My boss is being a real cow and making nasty comments to those of us who are leaving in staff meetings. I was on tears on Thursday evening. On Friday morning a colleague had left a bar of dairy milk on my chair saying 'Don't let the b**get you down.' I must admit I did eat it and thoroughly enjoyed it! It is a shame that 20 fantastic years are ending on such a sour and unpleasant note. Sad

Danceasifnooneswatching · 22/06/2014 10:17

Is everyone still doing this?
I can't believe I need to get to 10 stone but unfortunately since quitting smoking 3 years ago I have put on 3 stone!!Shock

I am 11stone 11lb and want to get to 9st 13. Starting from today I am going to eat better walk more and cut out alcohol.

Whatutalkinboutwillis · 22/06/2014 21:48

Breward that sounds awful! Hope things pick up soon. It really drags you down when you have problems at work.

I have went from no exercise to walking 30miles per week and sticking to 1200 calories per day.

Dance...:. I was 11.11 5 weeks ago now 10.7, stick with it ok you can do it. We are all here to support eachother.

Great moment tonight - got home from work and dh had been out and bought me 3 new outfits in size 12 and they all fit!!!! So happy! I was in a 16 just 5 weeks ago can't really believe it. He got me skinny jeans and they were a little loose. Happy days!!!

breward · 23/06/2014 21:22

Had a good weekend food and exercise-wise. Trying to walk 5 miles a night. Feeling fitter everyday.

Looking forward to Wednesday's weigh-in. Hopefully it will start with a 9!Grin

Danceasifnooneswatching · 24/06/2014 12:43

I have done a 30 minute run and am on day 2 of 30 day shred Grin

Hoping this can continue as I normally give up within a few days!!

RufflingFeathers · 25/06/2014 06:55

Weigh in :
Last week 10.10lb
Today 10.9lb

I know it's a loss and I should be pleased - but I've been working really hard exercise and food wise, so it seems like quite a small amount ! Makes me realise how easy it would be for me to consistently and slowly put on weight without realising - eek, surely only long term habit change is the way to keep it off !

Wibbley · 25/06/2014 07:28

11st 9 last week, 11 st 7 1/4 today!

This is the most weight i've lost in a week, its been 1 pound or less (even nothing) other weeks which does feel a bit frustratingly slow.

Hi all, can I join too? I have been doing weight watchers to shed pg weight, but am a bit stuck!

Am 5.5, 10.9st (well 8.5 pounds actually - weight watcher scales this morning) size 12-14. Sofar I have lost 13 pounds but nothing for 3 weeks.

I am bf an4 month old, so I get lots of extra weight watchers points, so it should be easy! I am being very careless and not writing stuff down. This week I will track my food, even if I am guesstimating sometimes. Also need to snack on fruit and veg and drink a bit more. I am going to dig out ky pedometer too. My boobs are too sore for more vigourous exercise but I walk quite a bit.

fruitpastille · 25/06/2014 13:34

Sorry rubbish tablet typing!

MrsPotatohead1 · 25/06/2014 16:38

Hi may I please join? i am 10 stone 6 at the moment and 5 foot 2. I would love to be 9 stone 5 and be a comfortable size 10! At school we are having a dept. weight loss challenge which started on Monday. I am doing well so far, have even managed to sit and watch my DH scoff a chinese (my mouth was watering!)
I have been eating jacket potatoes for tea, homemade soup for lunch, and snacking on fruit and nuts. I am actually enjoying it 3 days in, BUT am missing bread big-time! Let's hope I will resist temptation on the weekend.

we are going on a West coast USA holiday in 4 weeks so have got motivation!

thanks for reading and sorry for waffling!

AnnField · 25/06/2014 16:39

Hi everyone. Forgot to update last week - was 11.0 last week and 10.12 today. Coming off slowly but at least it's coming off!

breward · 25/06/2014 18:23

Was 10st 1 last week, this week..... 9st 13lb YAY!!!!!!!

It can be done!

I was 10st 13lb 6 weeks ago (10st 12 when I joined this thread). So I've lost a stone and really chuffed with myself as I don't usually stick to diets.

Mrspotatohead1, you're doing a staff weigh loss challenge too. They really are great for spurring everyone on. Only 4 weeks of term left, how much are you hoping to lose?

Glad everyone is still posting and supporting the thread. Keep it up ladies!

MrsPotatohead1 · 25/06/2014 21:35

I'm hoping to lose a stone but that might be wishful thinking! I'm nervous for the weekend as this is where I usually go off the rails! Any tips?

:)

fruitpastille · 26/06/2014 18:37

Mrspotatohead, I plan to have something nice at the weekend and count it in. My vice is wine and crisps so sometimes I get a mini bottle so I can't pour more and don't get massive bags of crisps! If I want chinese I get soup to fill up on and choose a less bad main and have a lighter lunch - or get lots of exercise.

I am doing ok this week but struggle not to nibble in the evenings.

Danceasifnooneswatching · 27/06/2014 12:38

3lb loss this week am really pleased I will be having wine over the weekend and being good Monday to Friday again next week Grin

MrsPotatohead1 · 28/06/2014 18:48

Thanks for the tips fruitpastille, I lost 3lbs between Monday and Friday. Weighing in for the challenge again on Monday so am trying to be good (ish!) I am really really craving a chocolate digestive (or 5!) but will stick to an Options hot choc at 40 cals :)

Whatutalkinboutwillis · 28/06/2014 20:12

So freekin chuffed. Weigh in today another 3lbs off so have gone from 11.11 to 10.4 in 6 weeks woohoo. 4 lbs until my target of 10stone. Walking 30 miles a week has paid off!

frankie5 · 29/06/2014 15:03

Well done breward!

I've been slowly trying to get to 10 stone for a few months now and gone from 10s10 to 10s4. I've now only got 4 pounds to go but finding it so hard now. I don't do any exercise at all so it's all just through changing my diet. I'm eating 3 meals a day, but not eating my usual (large) evening meal, and instead eating a larger lunch and a small snacky evening meal.

MrsPotatohead1 · 30/06/2014 11:51

Just checking in... I lost another lb over the weekend (I even had a custard tart as a treat Grin even though I could have eaten the whole box of four

So that brings my total for the first week to -4lbs. Now at 10st 2lb. I am aiming for -3lbs this week...that will be half a stone in 2 weeks Smile

I went on a 10 mile bike ride yesterday Bike and am feeling the after-effects today! OUCH!

Good luck to everyone this week, 3 weeks til my hols Grin

breward · 02/07/2014 07:10

Wednesday weigh-in. 9st 12lb, so 1lb off. Still going the right way.

Staff Weight loss challenge weigh-in is on Monday. I have now lost 10% of my original weight and feel and look so much better for it!

Keep going ladies.

Bezzabelle · 02/07/2014 07:33

Hi all- can I join?
Have an almost 3yo ds and a 7 wk ds- I'm 5ft 7 and before ds2- I hovered round the 9st 11 mark. Day before ds2 was born I was 13st 4!! However I had put 3st on with ds1 and lost it all within a few months so wasn't too worried.
The day I came out of hospital, I was 12st 9 (ds2 was 6lb12) and then at 2 wks old I was around 11st13. For the first four weeks I allowed myself to eat what I wanted including slabs of dairy milk a day to get through the tiredness but then at wk 4, I was getting depressed about not fitting in to clothes and having to show flesh as was nice weather - weighed in at 11st 9 at this point so gave up the chocolate and mindless snacking in between meals, am bf so don't want to cut calories too much and also have been trying to go out walking with pram for at least 40 mins four times a
Wk. since then I have lost 9 pounds in 3 weeks and down to 11st. Want to get back to 9st something ideally by our weeks holiday to Devon at the end of August but may have to accept 10st4 as whilst bf, my boobs are huge when usually they are tiny!

Am setting myself mini goals and rewarding with non food related things- when I get to 10.13 I will have a haircut and want to be 10,6 by end of July for ds1 3rd birthday and will buy new outfit for party if I do. Am pretty motivated at the moment as hate being bigger and I love clothes! Ds2 loves being out in pram so it's a winner going for long walka with him. I have been trying to make good decisions so instead of a feast ice cream when at the beach,I had a
Mini milk (only 30'cals!) etc. I can see the weight loss will slow down so wanted to join this thread to keep me going if I go a week without losing anything as know if you keep going, it will show on the scales the next week.

Hope all going well for others- there have been some great losses!

RufflingFeathers · 03/07/2014 16:47

Hi Bezza - you sound like one motivated lady !! you go sister - great effort so far.

I've maintained this week, weighed in at 10.9 on Tuesday, exactly same as week before. About to go on hols for three weeks so won't be able to weigh til I get back - am hoping that I'll only put on a couple of lbs - eek - but then will start again in August and hope to lose the last few lbs xxx
