Anyone aiming for 10stone?

HeyBungalowBill · 12/05/2014 22:57

Hello!
I'm looking for someone to kind of compete (in a friendly way) to get to 10 stone.
Me and a friend once decided that neither of us would eat any chocolate, biscuits, cake etc and kind of competed and I did well at it but he crumbled!

Anyway about me:
I'm 5 foot 4
11st 6
Size 10-12 on top
12-14 on bottom

Planning on running and a bit of strength training for my exercise, I think diet will be the hard part.

If you think you'd like to pair up or form a group to lose weight together that'd be great Smile

Whatu - That's a great loss! 5.5lb in a week!

I was 10s3 this morning so that's another pound off! My holiday in just over a week so I hope to get to 10s2 for then. Not quite my ideal bikini weight but slimmer than I have been for a while so I am pleased.

Well done whatu- that is amazing!! Have a great holiday.
And that's great too Frankie.
Have totted up my walking miles this week on my phone app- 23 miles! Hoping that'll keep the weight coming off.

Bit annoyed with self today- at a picnic, I picked at loads of food and had Ice cream..... Only had a light dinner and went for a 4 mile walk this evening but think this will slow the weight loss down this week as have a meal out thurs too. I don't feel as positive as I did a few weeks ago....

9st 10 yesterday. Today scales not working, so have had to go out and buy new ones after a change of battery did not work.

20th wedding anniversary today, so been out for a lovely lunch at a posh restaurant with OH. Been good all week and have walked 4-5 miles each evening, but pushed the boat out this lunchtime. I will be passing on tea this evening!

Keep up the Good work ladies.

Breward - congrats on your anniversary!

Bezzabelle - hope today was better for you

I weighed 10s5 this morning! So that's 2 pounds back on! But I had a really good day today so hopefully I'm back on track now. Had a lovely lunch - fried loads of mushrooms in a tiny bit of oil, added 2 eggs to the pan and mixed it all up. Put it on top of a pile of green veg and ate it! Made chicken korma for everyone's dinner tonight, my favourite. So I had a tiny amount on a tea plate with very little sauce, and had loads of veg with it. That's all I've had today apart from fruit and an ice lolly.

Please may I join? I'm in need of motivating!

5"2
11st 4
Size 12 stretchy to 14

DS is 14 months so can't blame him for the extra weight anymore. I've dieted pretty much since DS was 3 months old and have lost 3st already, but as I'm so wobbly I need to get down to at least 10st 6 before I feel comfy in my skin. Fell of the wagon in the last month or so, put on 3lb and can't stop snacking! my tummy is rumbling and the biscuits in the cupboard are calling me Meals are fine but I get bored easily and I love biscuits!

We're planning to ttc in a few months so I wanna be at a good weight by the time I'm pregnant again, in the hope I won't put on a whopping 3stone again!

I'm doing 30ds (day 3) and tracking through mfp. I feel like I've been dieting forever so I slip off quickly, I need to push myself for this last hurdle.

Please help me stay on track!

Welcome aboard, Sisterelephant!

Boredom does induce biscuit eating. Just after I had my children, many moons ago now, I found that in the evening i sat and watched TV in a state of exhaustion. I put on weight around my bottom due to inactivity in the evening.

I broke the habit by banning watching soaps, so as soon as the title music came on I would go and do some exercise. I have not watched a soap for 12 years now! The exercise might be a walk to the park and back, mowing the lawn, sweeping and mopping floors. Anything to stop the couch and biscuit evening culture. I did not have to change my diet drastically, but the weight that I was piling on started to come off. I felt better, looked better and got out more.

Good luck and keep updating us on how you are doing.

Welcome sisterelephant- you can do it!

10st 9 this morning so another pound off. Wanted to be 10st 7 by now.... Coming off much slower now but guess that's because I now have less to lose. Still aiming for 10st 4 by 21st August when we go on hol and then 9st 13 by end of sept although may have to keep hols of last few pounds due to BF. Going out for a meal tonight and then have BBQ tomor for ds1 birthday so will have to properly get back to it on Monday and up the exercise. I thought this hot weather would reduce the eating but found all the BBQ's, picnics and beach trips actually making it harder!!

I am so in.

11-4, 5'6, 10mo dd, serious flabby belly, wrong side of 40!

I have a wedding to go to in 11 weeks, so I was aiming for a steady 2 lbs a week which should take me to just under 10st, but more importantly my clothes will not leave marks on me and my size 14 jeans will not cut me in half when I sit down.
Am going to swim like mad, as I have the knees of an 80 year old (but I'm sure she is enjoying mine) . So running and step etc is out.

Weigh in on weds is it? OK then!! Let's DO this!!!!!

Hi fastwindow.... I weigh in on Saturday as that suits me best!

Good luck- you can do it!

Hi all! I'm still on track, and weighed 10s3 this morning. Bezzabelle - I'm also finding all the going out eating hard. Although BBQs are quite easy, went to one last night and just had meat (chicken, not sausages!) and salads. Eating lots of ice lollies too. But too much diet coke which is bloating me so might try to stay off it for a few days.

I'm on for doing a weigh in on Wednesday if anyone else is?

I usually weigh in on a Wednesday but will be on holiday for the next twoSmile. Will weigh in on Tuesday this week if I'm not in too much of a rush to get to the airport.

Well I ate two courses last night for meal out and picked all day today at BBQ/party food for ds1 birthday but he has had a great day and it's been lovely so I'm not annoyed with myself too much! Have got lots of leftovers though so tomor will have to be super motivated not to overeat and make sure I walk lots.

Have a good week everyone!

It's my DS birthday today too! He's 12 though. We had a family day out at the beach with a fish and chip supper and chocolate cake! I enjoyed every bit of it, although watched portion sizes when dishing out the chips.

12 year old now eats twice as much as me but is about half my weight due to running around constantly! Oh, to be young and his energy.

Hey all, have been away on hols for almost three weeks. Before I left was down to 10 st 9.5 and have come back at 10 st 13.5. Not too stressed by it - ate plenty of fish and chips and ice cream so am sure I'll be able to get back on track again soon !

OK... Bad start as came home from work to find leftover pizza, but only had one slice. And a garlic bread bit, and three hot wings. Normally I would eat until I was uncomfortable. So feeling guilty but proud Grin carrots tomorrow Smile

Hi!! I'm pretty late to the party but can I join please?! HAd DC2 6 months ago and am stuck at 12 stone (give or take-slightly dodgy scales!) BEfore DC2 I had never been above 11 stone in my life and i'm feeling really uncomfortable with the extra weight. Goign back to work is coming up and none of my clothes fit me so have to face facts and sort it out! MY problem is snacking , especially in the evening .
Help!

Bezzabelle · 02/08/2014 08:45

Hi itsmecathy- snacking in evening is hard to break but can you do exercise or something then to distract yourself? Or clean your teeth after evening meal?

10st 8 this morning so another pound down- another 4lbs and I'll be 3 stone lighter than I was 11 weeks ago just before I gave birth to ds2. 9 pounds to go before target.....

Hey all, last week was 10.13 this week 10.9 ! but mostly I think due to fact I was on my period. But also haven't been exercising much - does anyone know how quickly muscle mass is lost? I'm sure some of the weight loss is (ironically )because I've been a lardy and so my leg muscles in particular have slimmed down…..
