Anyone aiming for 10stone?

HeyBungalowBill · 12/05/2014 22:57

Hello!
I'm looking for someone to kind of compete (in a friendly way) to get to 10 stone.
Me and a friend once decided that neither of us would eat any chocolate, biscuits, cake etc and kind of competed and I did well at it but he crumbled!

Anyway about me:
I'm 5 foot 4
11st 6
Size 10-12 on top
12-14 on bottom

Planning on running and a bit of strength training for my exercise, I think diet will be the hard part.

If you think you'd like to pair up or form a group to lose weight together that'd be great Smile

Height 5foot 5inches

Lets hope weight is lower this week!!!

Good luck everyone!

Willis - hello Smile you're more than welcome to join!
Well done with the walking already, that's a brilliant start to your weight loss. Regular long walks are the best way to lose weight and keep it off according to a tv programme I watched!

Weigh in: I am the EXACT same weight Grin 11st 5.8lb
Doing well with exercise so I am very pleased despite not losing anything!

hi all
so I weighed in the morning - think it was 10st11 so heading in the right direction. I was incredibly strict last week and did the shred every day as well as eating really well but then had a massive weekend (my mum's birthday - big meal out, picnic, BBQ and WINE!) which undid most of my good work. finding it hard to get the motivation back this week and haven't managed any exercise yet at all.
we are off on holiday next week though with my family and they like to run so maybe just maybe that will get me going again.
well done all those who are keeping going with the exercise - very impressive!

does anyone have any good ideas for healthy meals that don't just involve a piece of fish and green veg? I intend to eat well but the idea of that more than once a week just fills me with dread!

Now 10 stone 8. That's 4lb off :) 1st week is always easy for me, it's the subsequent weeks that are the killers.

Well done everyone. Even if you've not lost this week, we've all been eating better and exercising more and the weight is going to come off for every one of us Grin

Hello, can I join? A few weeks ago I was hovering around 11stone and started exercising more and cutting out snacks and now I'm around 10st10 :). But I've started flagging and need some motivation to keep going. I'm 5ft5 and a 12 all over I think.

Thanks, Ruffling. I've got something called Trochanteric Bursitis - they think. Or it might be something else.

I get the x-ray results tomorrow at physio, so hopefully she'll be able to give me some exercises I can do that will help me reduce the blubber. I have no tone whatsoever.

DH is helping by trying to cook exciting, healthy food. Yesterday was tabbouleh and today is aubergine ratatouille with grilled fish. He's a bit of a hero.

Well done for all the losses so far!

Well done breward how did you do that? Still slow progress here.

I eat spinach a lot and roasted buttercup squash. Chicken is a good alternative to fish :)

Porridge for breakfast
Chicken salad for lunch
Weight watcher or similar meal and salad for dinner
About 5 pints of water/squash a day

Exercise everyday: either an hour walk or 40 length swim or 30 min run/walk or 40 minutes cycle.

I'm enjoying the exercise but the food is too tempting. DD made calzone pizza at school today and DS had made chocolate brownies... I'm afraid I had to try both. Will walk for 1 and a half hours tonight!

As usual the exercise is going well for me but still struggling with the dieting!
The exercise is making me hungrier Confused

I do have an eating disorder that makes dieting extremely hard too so that's a pain!! I've eaten the same three meals for as long as I remember so it's a tricky one Grin

How's everyone else doing?
Is anyone else looking forward to getting weighed Wednesday, I am!

What are your three meals, BungalowBill?

Report
HeyBungalowBill · 24/05/2014 15:19

A bowl of branflakes, a fish finger/ham sandwich and a veg dinner which is sausages/chicken nuggets with mash and veg.

Not the worst meals going but they aren't brill for dieting!
I've been to see someone recently and I'm slowly adding new foods to my diet so I'm trying my best to make sure they're healthier ones! Grin

Hi everyone, hope you're all getting on ok.

I had a McDonalds breakfast this morning. I wanted it and I enjoyed it and if enjoying myself means no loss this week then that's fine!

This rain is limiting my exercise options though. Could only take the dog for a short walk and my calves are too tight to run so I've spent the last hour doing step and Zumba on the wii.

Well week 1 done had my weigh in yesterday and somehow managed to loose 7 lbs - am so chuffed! Walked 24 miles in total during the week and was mega strict with my diet. Don't expect another loss like that next week but just to get back into the 10 stones would be great. So am now 11.4. I will get there!!!

Well done whatu - that's fantastic, even if it slows down now, it's such a good start !

HeyBungalow - sorry to hear about the ED - how long have you only been able to eat these meals for ?

Had a good weekend, had a sneaky wee mid-week weigh in and have lost a bit - always nice the week after your period to feel like you've made good progress !!

whatu that's amazing. What diet are you following? Could you outline a typical days menu? 7lbs in a week is incredible! My holiday and a couple of social events are coming up and I really need to lose at least 7lbs in the next 3-4 weeks. I find dieting soooo hard and usually only manage a pound a week.

Thanks for any advice Smile

Wow well done whatu! You definitely have to fill us in on what you've been eating Smile
Well done with the walking too that's brilliant!

Feathers - I got it when I was 18 months old after being seriously ill pneumonia, the specialist I saw thinks being so young my mind got mixed up and blamed the illness on food!
So it's pretty much been all my life, it isn't too much of a problem other than when I want to eat out somewhere or diet! Grin
