Nice, shiny new thread.

Winnie, come and talk to us over here.

OP posts:
JackieNo · 29/08/2006 15:23

Not...Anthea Turner, is she, justamum?

justamum · 29/08/2006 15:31

nope, none of them, not as well known, i'd love it if fern Britton was my sil, i think she's fab. Anthea Turner, my God if she came into my house I'd run a mile

JackieNo · 29/08/2006 15:33

Ms Turner would never be allowed past my front door. I, on the other hand, would love to go and stay at her lovely home.

Littlefish · 29/08/2006 15:34

I'd muddle up all the labels on her plastic boxes.

justamum · 29/08/2006 15:35

i don't think i fold my towels properly!

Littlefish · 29/08/2006 15:37

Justamum - you realise that I am now sitting here wracking my brains about not-slim-but-a-bit-well-known women who might be your sil! Any chance of a teensy-weensy clue? Age? Hair colour? Profession?

Charlotte Church - (no, can't be her unless you brother is Gavin Thingy the rugby player)

Gloria Hunniford - (no, too famous)

Anne Diamond?

Kathy Burke (love, love, love that woman!)

How am I doing?

justamum · 29/08/2006 15:45

she is nowhere near as well known as any of those people, she is a v minor reality tv personality. Not that big woman from Big Brother & fatclub!

Littlefish · 29/08/2006 15:49

Lizzie Bardlsey from Wife Swap?

Littlefish · 29/08/2006 15:50

Kinga from Big Brother?

justamum · 29/08/2006 15:50

oh christ, imagine having that as your sil!

Littlefish · 29/08/2006 15:51

More clues please! This pleasant diversion is helping me avoid my reading task for the day - a heavy book all about child development & assessment.

justamum · 29/08/2006 15:57

no more clues, i do not want to be party to your diversionary tactics, go back to your textbook and study, study, study. I am going to do the washing up and sort out washing whilst the kids are napping

Littlefish · 29/08/2006 15:59

You can send me back to my book, but you can't make me read it!

suejonez · 29/08/2006 17:54

Ahem, Littlefish - spending time with your family had an atrocious affect on your manners. I forbid you from seeing them en masse ever again or at least not until some of them are a bit fatter.

alittlebitshy · 29/08/2006 19:00

sue.... we're not moving your way. am not sure if it's or . Dh had interview, didn't get it (purely only due to lack of experience according to what he was told) so we're staying put.

hmm.

justamum · 29/08/2006 19:47

returning from domestic duties now ds is in bed, i lovingly made a cottage pie for tea only to be told by discerning 2yo that it was catpoo! Littlefish, i only tell you to study for your benefit, not mine

Dottydot · 29/08/2006 20:35

Arrgghh! The Thorntons chocolate bar in the cupboard is calling me so I'm typing on here in an effort to find some willpower..!

Dp works Monday, Tues and Weds evenings so once I've put the kids to bed I'm on my own until 10.30pm and it's the worst time.

So I'm making myself MN (that's my excuse anyway) rather than go into the kitchen...

JackieNo · 29/08/2006 21:02

Know what you mean Dottydot - DH is out tonight too, and I find it difficult not to snack. Had a frozen Frube - that was rather nice, and has quashed any cravings for the moment.

suejonez · 29/08/2006 22:05

DottyDot - why have you got a thorntons bar of chocolate in your cupboard (thats a stern look)

JackieNo · 29/08/2006 22:06

You mean, why hasn't she eaten it already?

JackieNo · 29/08/2006 22:08

Wouldn't last ten minutes in our cupboards, I have to say.

And can I hereby bid a (temporary) farewell from the BigMoFos to MrsJohnCusack - so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye. We'll miss you.

MrsJohnCusack · 29/08/2006 22:12

thanks Jackie
I'm freaked out TBH - and v.upset about my cats, although they've gone to lovely people.

also I was brave and weighed myself yesterday and hadn't put on any weight. Yay! But the scales are going on the ship so I must be careful....

can I say I though Littlefish was stunning too?

suejonez · 29/08/2006 22:12

MrsJC are you off so soon?

MrsJohnCusack · 29/08/2006 22:14

look here

planning to be there on Thursday night though sue with the requisite number of baked potatoes though. but I won't be able to check email after tonight so any idea how many I should bring? (Plus what time is kick off?)

suejonez · 29/08/2006 22:21

Kick off at 7.30pm I'm expecting 8-10 (which generally means 8) though 12 have said they're coming! 8 would be so much more civilised.

Come a little ealier if you like and use the computer. I hope to be in from 6.30pm
