Nice, shiny new thread.

Winnie, come and talk to us over here.

Helloooooo!

JackieNo · 26/08/2006 22:39

You made it. Welcome.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:39

Think only you and I are here this evening.

We mostly weigh once a week and email WWB on a Wednesday. You don't have to tell her your weight of you dont want to just how much you've lost. Some people aren't actively trying to lose weight (at least they start that way but we suck them in eventually!)

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:39

Oh Jackie you're still here, didn;t notice you sitting quietly in the corner

JackieNo · 26/08/2006 22:40

I was only going to lurk, but have definitely been sucked in.

JackieNo · 26/08/2006 22:40

Lurking on these threads, I mean, not tonight specifically.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:41

Well you know my BMI is about 41 from the last thread so you don;t need to worry that you're the largest. In fact it's come DOWN to 42 as I've lost a stone on this thread.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:42

Thise of us on this thread who are bigger are all doing it for health reasons really (though vanity does play a part, it's not what keeps me going)

JackieNo · 26/08/2006 22:42

You'd have been proud of me in Pizza Express tonight suejonez - I did have a pizza, but for pudding I had....wait for it.....

Mint tea. I figured I'd enjoyed my pizza so much I really didn't need anything else.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:46

I think mint tea is great at the end of a meal. Gives your mouth something to do whilst everyone else is scoffing their pudding

JackieNo · 26/08/2006 22:46

Fresh mint, too. One of the few herb teas I can stand.

MrsJohnCusack · 26/08/2006 22:47

I'm here too - hello mumofthreebeauties
And hello Winnie too

I'm one of the pregnant ones who is just trying at the moment not to pile on too much weight.

well people, I made it through the wedding yesterday and I am still alive - more pertinently, so are the fecking outlaws. But still v.miserable plus now they've caused trouble between me and DH and I am already worrying about the whole visiting after baby thing as DH is unable to stand up to his parents in anyway so I don't feel I can trust him to sort it out in a satisfactory manner. Plus we have to go there for a week on Sunday.

The only positive thing is that I think I may finally have found the situation that makes me lose my appetite - it's taken long enough!

JackieNo · 26/08/2006 22:48

Glad you survived, MrsJC. that the whole situation isn't really any better though.

MrsJohnCusack · 26/08/2006 22:49

I am very impressed at the mint tea Jackie, especially when staring down the barrel of tiramisu and cheesecake

JackieNo · 26/08/2006 22:51

Yes - I'm sure their tiramisu isn't a patch on suejonez', but I do love it. Did have a spoonful of DH's cassata. Didn't feel hard done by, I have to say, which was good.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:51

there are few advantages to being a single parent MrsJC but one massive advantage is - no in-laws!

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:52

cassata's probably not that bad, its just posh ice cream isn;t it (though not THAT posh is PE are serving it)

JackieNo · 26/08/2006 22:53

Ice cream with bits, really.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:53

other herbal teas are spawn of the devil and tasts like cardboard aften luring you in with promising smells.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:53

You will learn mumofthreebeauties, that I am not a big fan of pizza express

JackieNo · 26/08/2006 22:54

Yes - why do herbal teas always smell fab, but taste disgusting? I did like raspberry leaf tea, when I was drinking it in late pregnancy. Not much else though.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:56

blackcurrent tea always smells delicious but tastes like mulched leaves. Think they should be prosecuted under the trade descriptions Act

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:56

it all kicking off on the milk thread isn't it? Better to watch safely from here I think

JackieNo · 26/08/2006 22:57

Not joining in on that one at all. I did have a look earlier, and it seemed to have kicked of almost immediately. Usually takes longer than that! I'm off to bed, I think. Night all.

reliantrobin · 26/08/2006 22:58

Hello ladies,

Would you mind if I join the party slightly late?

I'm about to try (yet again!) to lose my post children spare tyres.

Assuming that my scales aren't playing a cruel joke it looks as though 3 stone is my target. Goodness - it's enough to make me reach for the chocolates
