suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:59

Of course - we have a few late starters (as it were)

flutterbee · 26/08/2006 22:59

Hi all just popping in before bed.

My bmi is 52 so do not worry a jot about it, 3 weeks back when I joined the group I was scared because I would be the biggest here but God damn it they have only gone and made me feel comfortable!!!

I had a skinny cow after dinner tonight, does anyone else have them they are yum yum.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 22:59

and 3 stone to lose puts you in our light weight category!

suejonez · 26/08/2006 23:00

skinny cow are fab - we have previously worshipped at the altar of skinny cow in an earlier week

suejonez · 26/08/2006 23:00

they're like proper food without the calories

flutterbee · 26/08/2006 23:03

Oooh I was a skinny cow virgin until recently

2 extra free in a box at the moment if their free that means they have no calories too

OK off to bed for me.

reliantrobin · 26/08/2006 23:05

SJ you have made my day. I permanently feel in the heavyweight camp (as heavier than DH at present ). But then he has always been on the thin side

suejonez · 26/08/2006 23:09

excellent, always try to make someones day at least once before I go bed of an evening.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 23:10

Three stone is NOTHING, I have about 8 left to lose but your weight is probably my interim goal weight!

Mhamai · 26/08/2006 23:12

Sue slightly off topic but where is the milk thread?

suejonez · 26/08/2006 23:14

you have wandered into BigMoFo's to ask about the milk thread??!?

suejonez · 26/08/2006 23:14

over here

Mhamai · 26/08/2006 23:15
Grin
suejonez · 26/08/2006 23:27

now go on, on your way now...

champs · 27/08/2006 02:31

hi all!! big thread (no pun intended) so havent read it all but will read from now. I just saw a link in another thread so came over. I used to slim with a few mn slimmers, we did well with the support so will love to join in with you gals (and guys if there are some)

I am hoping to really get started again and finaly give up choc.

I have loooots to loose and will be a whole person lighter when I get to goal.... sounds disgusting but sadly true!!

champs · 27/08/2006 02:33

sorry to be dense but are we doing 3 stones as a start goal?

JackieNo · 27/08/2006 08:48

Hi Champs, welcome to the BigMoFos - we're all just doing what we want - you set your own goals. Whatever you feel comfortable with. Or if you don't want to lose, just talk about stuff, that's fine too - this is a great thread for support .

I think we need to come up with a 'BigMoFos creed' so that we can easily explain to people what we're about, anyone agree?

Will be out most of today, as off to a 70th birthday about 3 hours' drive away.

schneebly · 27/08/2006 08:56

Hi guys - well have no excuses for overeating now as am not pg anymore I will be re-joining in a major way as of next Friday. I am going away for most of next week for my college induction and will be eating out a lot but also planning to swim every day. I will need to keep myself busy while I am away because I will miss DSs (and DH too) like crazy - Have only ever been away from them for 1 night before! I will not have MN either What's the bet I end up in some internet cafe! Anyway - you will be 'seeing' a lot more of me on here from the end of the week!

JackieNo · 27/08/2006 09:11

Hi Schneebly - don't really know what to say - still thinking of you loads. Hope the college thing goes well, and you don't miss DH and the DSs too much.

suejonez · 27/08/2006 09:58

Hi Schneebly, nice to see you back here, albeit in the most horrid of circumstances. Take it easy and give yourself very small very acheivable targets, possibly not weight related. Remember when we first started we all decided to change a habit - walk from an earlier tube stop, stop buying food to eat on the way home (were mine). I still get a kick out of the fact that I rarely buy anything to eat at the station on the way home. Even when I haven't lost weight I think of that and how much my eating habita have changed.

suejonez · 27/08/2006 10:04

Hello CHamps - welcome.

Jackie yes I think a BigMoFo's Creed" would be good then we can all keep it on our PC's and cut and paste for newbies joining.

Champs, I have about 8 stone left to lose but those of us who have significant amounts still to lose are focusing on shorter term interim goals, otherwise it's all a bit overwhelming.

We've just started thinking about Xmas and setting goals - quite a few people are going to try to lose a stone before Xmas. MAybe you could think about what you want to acheive in the first month, set yourself a realistic weight loss (better to overachieve a realistic target than fail an unrealistic one) and I found the "what habit do I want to change" really good. It does take a while to change habits but is as much a sense of acheivement as the weight loss IMO.

justamum · 27/08/2006 10:41

hi all, haven't posted for a couple of days due to extensive internet search of all available childcare within my area to rearrange plans for November, also DH has been away and dd has decided she no longer wants to sleep at night unless she is attached to me so am knackered and fed up. i have also been out for two meals so will probably have put my 1lb back on.
hi to champs/ mumof3beauties/reliantrobin, i am bf my 41/2mnth dd so am not actively "dieting" but just trying to eat more sensibly and find a bit of advice/empathy for numerous food issues which we all seem to share.
schneebly i think you are probably entitled to a bit of comfort eating but make sure you eat a healthy diet and get your body back up to strength ready for college. what are you studying?
littlefish, i never replied to you about meeting up with wwb and any other w midland mofos, i think we should go clubbing, wouldn't that be a sight!

suej glad you are having a nice break, i think you'll need it before plunging headlong into motherhood. tbh, at x-mas you'll probably be so busy watching your lo enjoying it you will quite forget to eat. its ok when they are still eating mush/semi-mush but when they start eating proper food it gets hard, i had forgotten how nice fishfingers are until ds developed a taste for them!

lemonaid · 27/08/2006 11:44

Oh schneebly, I'm so sorry (and for Mr schneebly too, who I remember chiming in on a thread in the past) . You look after yourself, especially as you'll be away from your family.

hub2dee · 27/08/2006 11:48

Been away a while, and haven't read the threads, but sorry to read your news, Schneebly.

Have ate enormous quanties of dark chocolate ice cream and fab French cheeses, so might be posting a less-than-splendid weigh in next week.

lemonaid · 27/08/2006 11:49

I forget from other threads, but how old is your LO going to be by D-day, SJ?
