Crisps, cereal bar, plum, chocolate

TheRealAmandaClarke · 25/09/2014 07:19

Oh dear.
I gave up on the daily weigh in because gaining a lb a day doesn't appeal tbh.
I have been rubbish.
Tired and very stressed. Sometimes this means i dont eat. But i make up for it in wine-based calories Blush
Yesterday
B: toast with smooth peanut butter
L: cheese and spring onion p packed sandwich. S&v crisps.
D: chicken kiev with peas and new potatoes
S&D: praline biscuits, tea, coffee, wine, sugarpuffs. Blush

I am hoping for a better week next week but still struggling to avoid stress-eating. Avoiding meals is easy but snacks just fall into my fat gob uninvited. And the stress isnt going away. Boo.

Share your successes please. Grin

Hazelbrowneyes · 25/09/2014 08:51

Praline biscuits amanda? They sound amaze.

Sorry you're still so stressed Sad anything we can help with?

Weighed in this morning as midwife appointment this afternoon and I've lost 2lbs since Sunday. Oh no, wait. I've just scrolled up - I'm the same as I was Sunday, I weighed in Monday too and the scales screamed 11st 1lbs back at me. So still 10st 13lbs.

Stretchmarks galore though, and a very itchy bump. I'm trying not to let the stretchmarks get to me. I've only had one mini-meltdown over it so that's a win as far as I'm concerned!

Super tired though. A combination of DH being unable to sleep, my coccyx hurting and my right leg hurting kept me awake all night. Not sure what's going on with my right leg but it wakes me up every night. It feels like growing pains/cramp. This morning my outer thigh is burning. I really need to start laying on my left side, I know.

The nursery is coming along. It feels way too early to be putting it all together but we're hardly here next month and neither one of us felt like doing it in November. Bought a sofa bed for the room and that folds out flat to the floor which is excellent. Oh and a bookcase! I've always wanted a bookcase! happy sigh

New car arrives next week (OMG, so excited) and current car only failed MOT on a tyre (was expecting a £1k+ bill) so I'm seeing lots of positives this week Grin

Food:
Tues:
B - shredded wheat, skimmed milk
L - fish finger sandwich with fries
D - stilton & apple salad
S - ridiculously yummy chocolate from Ikea. That might have been it actually, I can't remember now Grin

Weds:
B - pain au chocolat
L - tin of heinz spag bol (pregnant, I make no excuses!)
D - spaghetti carbonara
S - time out, popcorn, doughnut, nutella "go", hot chocolate

Milllie · 25/09/2014 19:32

Sorry your stressed Amanda Sad

Your not trying to lose weight are you Hazel? Your pregnant Smile

Me today

half a tin of beans with 2 slices toast
couple of Bendicks small mints

toast with strawberry jam (no butter)

bowl of beef hotpot with 3 slices bread and butter

frozen banana and grapes.

(too much bread today)

TheRealAmandaClarke · 25/09/2014 20:07

Lol, yes hazel you are meant to be gaining weight. How lovely.

Thanks guys. Its an occupational hazard Im afraid. Nothing anyone can do Sad

I need to stop consuming calories.
WI= 9st 7lb.
Ate moderately.
Walked about 4 miles.

Milllie · 25/09/2014 21:43

Amanda you don't weigh a lot. How tall are you Smile

Twinklestar2 · 25/09/2014 21:55

Thursday menu!

Muesli and ss milk
Chickpea curry and rice
Beef pie, spuds and veg
Chocolate :)

I'd love to be 9st 7 Amanda, that's my goal weight.

Hazelbrowneyes · 26/09/2014 08:50

Lol, no not trying to lose weight, just trying to slow down the rather rapid gain by eating better.

I've put on 1st 5lbs from start weight but I lost 4lbs in first tri, so realistically I've put on 1st 9lbs since 14 weeks and I've still got 10 weeks to go. My diet is appalling and I really, really want to eat better, for my own sake as well as for the baby.

Saw the midwife yesterday and my diabetes test came back clear which is excellent, however bump is measuring big. It is only the first measurement she's taken though so we'll see what the consultant measures in 2 weeks. Baby is head down (yay, good baby) and I've been having lots and lots of movement this week. Last night I just sat there watching my bump move, really lovely Smile

Unfortunately car which passed MOT has now decided to flash up a major fault so the £1k repair bill is looking likely. This has made DH very grumpy and very stressed and he's likely to get a frying pan over his head if he continues with this mood I've surprised myself by being very "Oh well, it's happened, yes it's annoying but it's happened". This is most unlike me and probably because I'm now just worried about huge baby

Yesterdays menu:
B - Pain au chocolat
L - tuna and cucumber sandwich
D - chicken kiev, chips and green beans
S - twix, time out, S&V crisps, apple, milk

I'm very pleased with myself - two nights in a row I have avoided snacking after dinner. Throughout my pregnancy I've had chocolate or popcorn after dinner so thrilled that I may have managed to kick that habit!

Today:
B - honey nut shredded wheat
L - cheese and cucumber sandwich
D - spag bol (possibly with garlic bread)
S - I have an apple and a ski mousse with me but it's Macmillan coffee morning so I will have a slice of cake too Grin

TheRealAmandaClarke · 26/09/2014 13:04

5'4"

Twinklestar2 · 29/09/2014 07:30

I'm still here! The last few days I've had very 'picky' menus so haven't posted.

Am moving my usual Monday WI to Wednesday this week so I can calculate how much I've lost in month. 8lbs down so far :)

TheRealAmandaClarke · 29/09/2014 20:32

Ah well done twinkle
I haven't WI for a while Grin
Lost all control over the weekend.Blush
Fasting today.
Black coffee, 2 white teas, one grape.
Nfd tomorrow and i need to avoid snacking. And have no alcohol.

Onwards and downwards (except for Hazel who is "onwards and healthy")
fRs.

Twinklestar2 · 29/09/2014 21:45

One grape?! Grin

Monday menu?

Toast

Samosa x 2

Pork roast dinner, apple pie and custard (at MILs house!)

Handful of crisps and a mini sausage roll

TheRealAmandaClarke · 30/09/2014 07:15

Oh that dinner sounds wonderful twinkle

NFD today, but i am determined to avoid junk and alcohol.

Hazelbrowneyes · 30/09/2014 08:44

I think I'm more "onwards and outwards" amanda Grin

Weekend was horrific:

Saturday
B - pain au chocolat
L - cheese & biscuits
D - 2 slices cheesy garlic pizza bread, 2 slices pizza
S - mini cheddars, banana and chocolate muffin (homemade), pringles, cookies

Sunday
B - crunchy nut
L - roast beef with all the trimmings followed by chocolate fondant
D - none
S - I honestly cannot remember - I think it was a cookie or two. Oh and a 125ml glass of wine.

I did sleep for 7.5 hours straight on Saturday night though, no waking at all. Was amazing. Unfortunately I'm back to being unable to sleep as my back is so bad. I'm also getting burning pains in my right thigh which makes me want to weep.

Monday
B - honey nut shredded wheat
L - ham salad wrap
D - chicken curry, rice, 2 poppadums
S - 2 banana and chocolate muffins, nestle crunch bar, salted popcorn, apple, ski mousse, 2 cookies, hot chocolate, milk

OMG! I have got to stop eating so much crap!

V. tired today, barely slept due to back. Manic day today - I have a new van arriving, I need to pick up new car as they don't have time to deliver it to me and the current car needs to be taken to the repair centre. Need to sort insurance out on the van and car as well as do all my usual work and end of month stuff. I just want to sleeeeeeeeeeeeep.

Food today - hoping I'll be too busy to sit and constantly stuff crap down my throat

B - crunchy nut
L - egg sandwich
D - probably something easy like fish fingers and veg
S - I am limiting myself today. Muffin, small bag of popcorn, apple, ski mousse. I am NOT going to the sandwich van today.

Tonight I plan to exercise in the hope that will help with my back. I also need to sort through baby clothes and pack my hospital bag - I know it's too soon but we're off to France in 10 days and my midwife has requested I take a bag with me.

Oh and remember the civil court action against me? I'm not sure if I mentioned the original date at the start of this month was cancelled but they've rescheduled it....for the end of October. I'll be close to 35 weeks. Not sure whether to laugh or cry!

Twinklestar2 · 01/10/2014 08:30

1st of the month! Going to make it a healthy one.

I've been at my mother in laws so the food has been hard to control. But from today I'm going to make healthier choices - I don't HAVE to say yes to cake!

She keeps feeding me tho saying I'm breastfeeding her grandson so I need it!

Twinklestar2 · 01/10/2014 10:33

2lbs off!

Now 11st 4.

TheRealAmandaClarke · 01/10/2014 17:44

Yay twinkle

TheRealAmandaClarke · 02/10/2014 09:45

NFD yesterday
B: coffee
L: Gregg's egg mayo sandwich, s&v crisps, 2 lemon puffs.
D: out for dinner- pasta thing, wine.
Snacks: nuts, hazelnut chocolate.

FD today.
I am struggling but determined.

Hazelbrowneyes · 02/10/2014 10:55

Well done Twinkle!

Good luck with FD amanda

Tuesday
B - crunchy nut
L - egg sandwich
D - fish and chips followed by icecream at pub.
S - 2 x muffin, popcorn

Wednesday
B - small bowl of crunchy nut
L - cheese and cucumber sandwich
D - spag bol with garlic bread
S - S&V squares, Riesen chocolate (my favourite EVER chocolates. Found them in one stop. Bought and consumed 2 little packets as a reward for having both Whooping Cough and flu jabs in one go)

This morning I've read a crappy article in the Daily Fail about how fabulous women who don't put on any weight in pregnancy are (Ok, I'm paraphrasing) - great way to make the rest of us feel shit.

Worked from home yesterday afternoon and got so much done - it's a revelation. I genuinely thought I'd use homeworking as an excuse to do bugger all but nope! I seem to work harder. In the office today and trying my hardest to continue with that - have done a load of accounting stuff this morning that needed doing but was hard so I've been putting it off. It's now all done! Yay!

Didn't sleep well at all Tuesday night due to stupid hips being stupidly painful and stupid legs burning, but last night I ditched the pregnancy pillow and slept well. Only woke once for the loo. Big improvement!

TheRealAmandaClarke · 03/10/2014 08:00

Poor Hazel. Not long now.
Can your Gp or midwife refer you to an obstetric physiotherapist?

FD yesterday. It was tough.
But 2 lb down this morning to 9st 5lb. So finally moving in the right direction.

Hazelbrowneyes · 03/10/2014 10:01

Well done on the fast and weight loss amanda!

I'll be honest, I haven't bothered to tell GP or midwife. I'm just coping with it sort of I had another good nights sleep last night - slept 11-4 before getting up to go to the loo then straight back to sleep. No pain in hips or legs and coccyx is feeling much less painful so it may all have been linked.

Yesterday:
B - pain au chocolat
L - ham salad wrap
D - scampi, chips and mushy peas
S - Riesen chocolate, giant buttons, mini cheddars, cadburys snack biscuits, muffin FFS!!!

No wonder I have a painful tooth. I have got to get out of the habit of just eating sweet stuff.

Twinklestar2 · 03/10/2014 11:30

Well done Amanda!

Thanks Hazel

Twinklestar2 · 04/10/2014 10:31

Am back from MILs 2lbs heavier! Must work hard to pull that back before WI on Weds!

TheRealAmandaClarke · 04/10/2014 12:19

Grrr. Never mind Twinkle its the bigger picture that matters. Im sure you'll make up for that no problem.

Hazel its hard to break the sugar habit. I think its tied in with my wine consumption too. Blush
I still like sweet things, a d have them, But i am making efforts to have a piece of fruit and a glass of water instead of mindless sugary snacking. Then really enjoy those treats when i do have them.
Making efforts, but not always successful

Twinklestar2 · 04/10/2014 21:24

Today could've been better. But I've eaten far too much bread.

I had muesli and ss milk for breakfast.

Lunch was a couple of crumpets and a skinny latte.

We had guests round about 4ish so we had roast chicken, salad, roasted new potatoes, coleslaw and nice bread.

They had tea and biscuits for afters and I just stuck with tea.

So not bad but not great either. October has not been good to me so far!

Big healthy shop coming tomorrow which will help with getting back on track.

I was good yesterday tho - OH ordered Nandos and I stuck to chicken wings, rice and salad.

Looking forward to the cupboards and fridge being stocked up with healthy foods and getting back to it! 27 days till the family wedding and I want to be comfortably in the 10s for it.
