Hey. Twinkle you're doing so well and you're inspiring me.
Sorry for sloping off for so long. Its been a very tricky time. Trouble is the medication Im on now is not helping my weight and I am enormous.
I haven't weighed myself actually.
Need to really shape up.
Must stop the Wine

Hello!

Back from a lovely holiday - I ate far too much bread, cheese and chocolate though Blush

Stepped on the scales this morning and I've put on 2 stone since 12 week scan. I'm not sure if that's normal or if I should be horrified. I'm 33+4 so still a few weeks to go!

I do plan on eating better now we're home. I did eat reasonably well whilst out for meals on hols but ruined that with desserts and snacking Smile

I find Autumn quite easy for eating well though - nothing better than soups and stews and pies so the plan now is to make sure baby gets everything it needs in the last few weeks.

I've got a growth scan next week as baby is measuring big so we'll see what happens after that. Also in court next week (boo).

I can't guarantee healthy eating until Monday - I'm still technically on holiday until then Wink

Hope you're all ok x

Well done Amanda!

I failed on the no empty snack thing today. Will try again tomorrow. It's hard with the baby - sometimes you just have to grab what you can when you're hungry!

Menu

Oatso and semi skimmed, latte

Cheese and marmite bagel, yoghurt

Chicken, jacket potato and salad for dinner

Snacks: crisps, cereal bar and a Crunchie

It was good thanks Twinkle
Tough at breakfast (i do love carbs in the morning) and again around 3pm. I had one apple and a can of mulligatawny soup with cabbage at tea time (everyone else had roast beef, roast potatoes.... Envy)

Your menu for yesterday is really good. I too am determined to avoid empty snacks.

twinkle youre doing so well. A few days of extra food wont matter and besides, the bf will take some calories off.

Hazel poor thing. I remember those pregnancy pains. Its hard. Its such a relief to get that strength and energy back when your baby arrives. And you will be tired, but its different, and its lovely.

My tips for not going mad after baby: if you can, get a cleaner. You absolutely need to rest when you can and housework will stop you doing that.
Dont listen to annoying advice. Give people a hard stare if they try to make you feel you should have done something " better" or their way. It helps to have a supportive and slightly rude Dh for this one. Wink

That's all I have. I haven't actually succeeded in not going mad myself, but i suspect some of it is work related.

Oh, food. God. Loads. I didn't fast last week Blush and i need to stop having wine.
So i am fasting today. Full of hope and promise. No alcohol until friday. No chocolate or crisps until friday. Oh, amd no sandwiches at work. They baly tough the sides and i just eat more. So proper (leftovers type) lunch at work on tues and wed.
And no breakfast mon- wed.
There. I've said it!

Ah thanks twinkle I had bad period type pains yesterday evening and they woke me up a few times in the night. I've still got pain around my coccyx too which is making me miserable. No idea how I'm going to cope with over 12 hours in the car this weekend. On the bright side, I ditched the pregnancy pillow again last night and my thighs didn't burn. Hurrah!

Yesterday: Ok. Deep breath.

B - honey nut shredded wheat
L - tin of heinz ravioli
D - 2 slices pizza, twisty fries, chicken strips
S - 2 x french fancies, 2 x fudge, 1 x milky bar, S&V squares, 2 x pork pies

I'm actually appalled by that.

Hugs to twinkle and amanda

I feel like an absolute fraud saying this as I have no baby to keep me awake but I am so fed up of not sleeping. I know it's only going to get worse (if one more person tells me this, I am going to get stabby) but I've been awake since 2am. I think my pelvis is screwed but I don't think it's SPD. I'm fine when I'm walking but the pain when I'm laid down is horrific. My right thigh ends up burning and achey.

I've got a mild cold which isn't helping with sleep and actually neither is DH with his murmurings in the middle of the night drink induced murmurings of course

I'm desperately trying to eat healthy in the hope it'll help with sleep but I'm failing. I genuinely do believe half my problem is too much sugar, I just seem unwilling to cut it out.

Going away on Saturday for a few weeks so I'm reluctant to book a GP appointment beforehand. I've scheduled one for when I get home and I'll mention it to the consultant on Friday.

No point writing my food diary for the last few days - 1. I can't remember all of it and 2. I'm embarrassed by how awful it was.
