Your doing well Twinkle. Good for you on the 2lbs lost.
I have been decorating (nothing special just repainting) these last couple of days so haven't really been eating lots until my meal in the evening. I keep gaining and losing the same 2lbs grrrrrrrr!!!!
I am going to concentrate on the gym for now and still eat mindfully though. I think if I focus on tightening everything up then I will hopefully go down dress sizes. This is what usually happens for me but I have got lazy.

TheRealAmandaClarke · 16/09/2014 21:20

Yay twinkle

TheRealAmandaClarke · 16/09/2014 21:21

TheRealAmandaClarke · 18/09/2014 01:55

Grin twinkle
Youre an inspiration. Well sone.

Yesterday:
Half an M&S egg sandwich. Bag mini cheddars.
Risotto
Glass of white wine
Several white coffees/ teas

Hazelbrowneyes · 18/09/2014 14:28

twinkle you're doing so well!

How are you doing milly?

Amanda Envy at your wine. Although I indulged in half a glass of free champagne the other day. I'd have had the whole glass but I was driving and as I haven't had a drink since March, I wasn't entirely sure how it would effect me Grin

I'm doing ok - no weight gain so far this week and actually bit concerned as I don't feel like bump has grown for a couple of weeks. I need to take more photos for comparison. Everything is fine with bump, lots of kicks so positive all is ok, but bump still doesn't look much different to how it did a few weeks ago!

Fell onto my bum on Sunday from a squatting position so it really shouldn't have hurt but I appear to have bruised my coccyx. All I can say is OUCH. So I'm super grumpy this week as I can't sit for long periods and I'm not sleeping as it's so painful. Oh and moving from sitting to standing? Bloody hell. The pain! DH has been ridiculously patient with me and doing his best to make sure I'm comfy.

Anyway. Food.

Yesterday:
B - Crunchy nut w/ skimmed milk
L - Egg mayo sandwich
D - Chicken curry with rice and naan bread. Was quite a small portion for me to be honest!
S - S&V crisps, ring doughnut, grapes, milky bar buttons, tea, water, milk, full fat coke

Today:
B - Crunchy nut w/ skimmed milk
L - Cheese and cucumber sandwich
D - no idea, I'm cooking apparently so it's likely to be fish fingers, chips and beans Grin
S - mars bar, S&V crisps, diet coke, tea, water.

Going shopping tonight as we're having friends over for dinner tomorrow.

How does this menu sound? Needs to be Gluten-Free, dairy-free (to an extent), no fish, no hot tomatoes.
S - butternut squash and stilton salad (he eats cheese so I'm sort of ignoring his dairy-free request)
M - either roast chicken with roasted veg or chicken "hot pot" with leeks, carrots, potatoes, etc in a lemon and herb oil.
D - meringue (never made it before so could go horribly wrong) with pears, chocolate sauce and hazelnuts. I'll leave the cream off for people to add if they want it.

MillieD · 18/09/2014 16:35

Im doing ok thanks Grin. My gym is in the garden (big shed completely fitted out) so I really have no excuse now do I ha ha!. Am eating really consciously too and not scoffing lots of chocolate (well maybe a couple of squares). I don't drink alcohol anymore (sad) as it makes me unwell but it didn't make any difference to weight loss.

ethelb · 18/09/2014 17:00

Can I join?

I've been trying to eat a bit less overall but more veg.

Today I had:

Bfast: Ryvita with cheese slice and boiled egg

Lunch: spaghetti with fennel and mozzarella

Dinner: cucumber salad with hung over noodles
Followed by summer pudding

Wondering if I can avoid a drink while watching the referendum vote come in!

MillieD · 18/09/2014 17:48

Hazel Your menu sounds lovely, really lovely. Can I come please? I will eat anything lol!.

How about putting some cushions under your bum and always have something to help you get up so you put the strain on your arms not your coccyx. I hurt mine many many years ago now and if I sit on a hard chair for too long then it is hard and painful to rise to a standing position. I have to do it slowly so the coccyx can catch up.

If your baby is kicking then Im sure it is doing fine. Put a tape measure around yourself and do that a couple of times a week. How many weeks are you now?

MillieD · 18/09/2014 17:53

Twinklestar I love the sound of your homemade sausage rolls. Yum.
Amanda how are you doing? Are you still doing fasting?

ethelB I shall be the first but not the last, to say Welcome! Smile
We all do our own thing and we are a small bunch. Im the newest and have only been on for a year and a bit ( I think). Spaghetti with fennel and mozzarella sounds yum but what are hung over noodles please?

ethelb · 18/09/2014 18:35

Here you go!

TheRealAmandaClarke · 18/09/2014 18:52

hazel your menu sounds great.
Meringues are super easy. The trick is a sparkling clean bowl for whisking the eggs.

Hi ethelbi love the sound of spaghetti with fennel. Love fennel.

Not fasting. But have had little appetite over last few days.
Today:
L: fruity flapjack (probs about 4 million calories and made me feel sick, thanks Mcvities)
D: small portion of spag bol.
Thats it.

I need to eat more veg. (Bored of saying it now)

Twinklestar2 · 18/09/2014 19:54

Yum hazel your menu sounds lush!

Welcome Ethel!

Today's menu

Cereal bar, latte

Bacon sandwich

Chicken, spuds, veg

2.5 mile walk

TheRealAmandaClarke · 18/09/2014 19:57

More meringue tips (courtesy of nigel slater)

Avoid using brand new eggs. Slightly less fresh ones are better for meringues (although still actually fresh iyswim)

Warm the sugar gently on a roasting tray in the oven before mixing with the egg whites.

TheRealAmandaClarke · 18/09/2014 20:00

Ooh twinkle nice tidy menu and lovely walk.

Still utterly chuffed for you btw.

Twinklestar2 · 18/09/2014 20:45

Thanks Amanda and thanks for your post of congratulations on the other thread I post on Smile

Hazelbrowneyes · 19/09/2014 09:00

Doh! Amanda I wish I'd seen this last night! The recipe I used recommended using very fresh eggs so I used some the chooks had laid over the last few days. Well, it's done now and looks ok. I did buy some back up meringue nests just in case Grin The bowl was super clean though.

Have decided to go with strawberries over hazelnuts/pears so I can turn it into Eton Mess if it's screwed so I need to go home, melt dark and white chocolate to dip strawberries in & I need to make some chocolate "shapes" too. They lose their shine as I freeze them and can't be bothered to find a better way to do this but they still look pretty! I then need to lay the table and fold the napkins. Oh and somehow do a load of washing and dry it before they turn up!

Welcome ethel the noodles sound lovely!

Millie I've ordered a special cushion to sit on, just waiting for that to arrive! It's eased a little today thankfully! I'm nearly 29 weeks. Eek! Told DH of fears that bump hasn't grown, he looked at me like I'd grown two heads and said "er, yes it has. You now have stretchmarks Grin" and he's right! I do. I had one tiny stretchmark a few weeks ago but now I have lots more. Still quite small but definitely there. Not sure how I feel about them to be honest. Not a lot I can do about them, I know, but I'd have much preferred it if I was one of the lucky ones to avoid getting them! Still, they'll fade Smile

Well done on the walk twinkle!

Yesterday:
B - Crunchy nut w/ skimmed milk
L - Cheese and cucumber sandwich
D - Scampi, chips and beans
S - mars bar, S&V crisps, diet coke, tea, water, milk, small bar white chocolate.

I seem to be obsessed with white chocolate all of a sudden!

So today, you all know tonight's menu but
B - pain au chocolat (why yes, I have been to Aldi!)
L - cheese and cucumber sandwich

Today's goal is to not go to the sandwich van so I have an apple, small bar white chocolate and a small bag of salted popcorn.

TheRealAmandaClarke · 19/09/2014 09:35

The meringues will be perfect hazel don't use the bought ones.
Yum yum to white chocolate.
