BIWI's Two Week Low Carb Boot Camp - starts Monday 16 April

I've been back low carbing seriously since February and have lost a stone (almost). I have another 1.5 stones to lose.

It's been going well for me, but I have slowed down in the last month and I'm keen to get things back on track and up the speed of my weight loss. To that end, I have devised a strict two week bootcamp.

It will start on Monday 16 April to give anyone who wants to join in time to sort themselves out, get planning and generally get themselves ready to join in.

Who's up for it?

Hi, I'm going to join in as well if that's ok.

I've been low carb'ing since Oct 2010 (having previously low carb'd after ds1 turned 1, he's now 10!) and lost 2 1/2 stone but since Christmas when I had various bugs and a Fibro flare-up, my diet went to pot and I've put on a few pounds :(

I need to get back into it and boot camp is the way to go! (that said, I can't eat much over 20g on maintenance as my weight just goes up so this really is a way of life for me).

Will look out for the new thread and get myself weighed!

way2serious · 15/04/2012 19:40

I have started today and have done well. Eggs for breakfast. Did a roast for everyone else and I had the chicken and veg but no potatoes. We didn't eat until 3pm and I am still really full. I have drunk over my 2 litres of water and have only had 1 cup of decaf tea.
However, I now have really terrible headache. I am not going to take anything tonight but will have an early night and hope I feel better in the morning.
I have planned my meals and snacks for tomorrow to make things manageable.
I am also going to try and not weigh myself for two weeks. How much should I be aiming to lose in two weeks? I am about a stone and a half overweight.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/04/2012 19:49

Trim and Knotty Wine Wine Wine Cheers!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/04/2012 20:00

Right, am ready for the morrow, am hoping to lose at least half a stone. Quite a tricky week food wise though for me,lots on and DD's birthday in the middle, so I shall have to think this through!

Having my last gin for a while..... And it is loverly!!

flipflopflap · 15/04/2012 20:17

Back after an indulgent break away and ready to bootcamp! I've got a low carb shop being delivered tomorrow and most of my meals written down. Main thing for me is to remember to drink water as I'm useless at it, but I'm keeping a big jug on the side and making myself so it!

sinisterduck · 15/04/2012 20:22

Am ready to sign on too. Just finishing up wine and choc- had a day off before getting down to it tomorrow.

Meeeeh.

MrsNouveauRichards · 15/04/2012 20:32

Yet another name change (hopefully this is it now)

In preparation for tomorrow I have filled a 2litre coke bottle with cold filtered water and put in the fridge, should help me get through the required amount. Breakfast will be scrambled eggs, one piece of bacon and one tinned plum tomato. Lunch will be salad of some sort and dinner will be leftover roast pork, and a lot of veg (cauliflower, broccoli and spinach)

Is there the new thread started yet?

KnottyLocks · 15/04/2012 20:34

It appears I have a bottle and a half of wine to get through by midnight.

Cheers Wine

MrsNouveauRichards · 15/04/2012 20:34

Oh, and I have told DH to not put sugar in my morning cup of tea Grin

KeepOrfThemCarbs · 15/04/2012 20:38

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/04/2012 20:40

MrsNouveauRichards · 15/04/2012 20:41

I am trying to decide whether to have one last raspberry vodka and orange juice or not.....

GlitterKitty · 15/04/2012 20:44

That sounds nice MrsNR.

I'm having another wine.

BIWI · 15/04/2012 20:48

Right you lovely lot. I shall start the new thread shortly (have to play a Scrabble game with DH first, which will take all my attention).

All those of you that want my carb counting spreadsheet - send me a PM with your e-mail address.

LOL at rum being a veg ... Grin

MrsNouveauRichards · 15/04/2012 21:04

TherapeuticVino · 15/04/2012 21:17

GettinTrimmer · 15/04/2012 21:33

GlitterKitty · 15/04/2012 21:34

I'm going to make raspberry gin this year. And apple & blackberry/sloe gin.

elastamum · 15/04/2012 21:38

Can I join? have just got back from my hols and need to lose a stone to fit into my summer clothes Blush Fortunately its still pretty cold up here in Derbyshire! Grin

ledkr · 15/04/2012 21:38

Ok i have made tomorrows supplies.roast chicken salad a pot of olives for snacking and a few nuts for emergencies.Work will be hard as i pick all day at fruit normally.
I have made a sugar free jelly in case the cravings get too much tomorrow.
I deliberately didnt have my shower tomorrow so i can have one early tomorrow instead of dipping ginger nuts in my tea Grin
Tomorrow night will defo be some fish with veg,ny suggestions for a sauce of some sort?

Lovecat · 15/04/2012 22:22

We have had a last supper of beef wellington & roasties followed by apple n' raspberry crumble with ice cream....

On the upside i have also roasted a chicken and stripped it for lunches (ta for the tip, Custy), cleared the fridge out of carbs, done a full LC shop in prep for the week ahead and cooked & frozen several portions of homemade ragu bolognese so that we can have that with veg if I get home too tired to cook.

Ledkr, this is quite nice and very LC if you substitute the milk for watered down cream or else lactofree milk.

BIWI · 15/04/2012 22:23

I'm loving the thought of all the last-minute eating and drinking that's now going on up and down the length of the country! Grin

ledkr · 15/04/2012 22:29

MarzipanNPrayers · 15/04/2012 22:36

Started today, roast beef with cabbage, asparagus and mashed cauliflower and supper was roast breast of lamb, crispy leeks and mushrooms with raw spinach and beansprouts with mayo. (mayo much like sour cream so will cope with no salad cream-for now) and 3.5ltrs H2O

Monday is :

B:Corned beef and mayo
L:Chicken wings and beansprouts in mayo
D:Roast Belly Pork with creamed leeks and cabbage
S:Ardennes pate on cucumber

Am keeping all food and water on a excel spreadsheet :o
