Well Friday mornings are coming round quick for me.

WI today I lost 0.5ib Smile am okay with this as I havent had the best week again. I start with the best intentions but struggling to see the week through Sad.

Am still running and only 1.5 weeks and the new gym will be open so hoping I will be sooo excited about going I will start bumping up my calorie burns again.

Am out running tonight which I have'nt done a Friday night run for a long time so hoping will do me good and give me headstart for my new week Smile

You guys are still encouraging me and am sure thats the only reason I have not put on ibs and ibs but am still losing even if only slowly at the moment.

Smile

Hello all

So used to meeting you all on MFP that I forget to check in here now and again! I have sent a few friend requests for the newbies that I spotted (snailrunner on MFP).

As of yesterday I have lost 10lbs and I don't care even one tiny bit that it has taken me nearly five months since I look so much better without it. If I have lost the remaining 2.7lbs by the time we go to Dubai to avoid being in London for the Olympics in July I will be delighted and a lot happier in my bikini (providing that the bottoms are big enough to hide the post-pregnancy tummy damage).

Have been ill all week so no appetite and no exercise to speak of, although I have dealt very effectively with the ironing pile :)

cinnamongreyhound · 17/02/2012 20:49

Hi ladies, I have been lurking for a while. I started doing the c25k in January and found mfp from others on that thread and consequently this thread! I started restricting my portions and junk food at the beginning of November and I have lost 16kg since then. Been on mfp for just over a month and I'm enjoying being able to track properly what I'm eating. It's given me a daily amount of 1550 but that's to lose 1lb a week so I'm trying to stay under it.

bishboschone · 17/02/2012 20:57

Wow greyhound that's brilliant . Can I ask his much you weighed when you started? I'm frustratingly trying to lose 2 stone of baby weight and I did couch to 5 k and got up to 5 k but I wasn't losing weight and I'm scared to run now in case it somehow stops me losing weight . I'm so fed up of being fat Sad

AmazingDisgrace · 17/02/2012 21:31

I keep forgetting to check in here too, I have a few of you as friends on MFP. I weigh in with my boss at work every Thursday and also myself at home on a Wednesday. As of now I've lost 15lbs since January :) Just another 2 stones to go. If my willpower holds up!

Does anyone else get random spikes up in weight then a big ( 2lbs+) loss within a day or two? It must be water retention but I went up by 6lbs the other day out of nowhere then 2 days later I had lost that and another 2lbs. Its happened a couple of times now. Freaky but fascinating..well to me anyway.

cinnamongreyhound · 17/02/2012 21:33

I started at 95Kg (15st 2) and am hoping to get down to 68Kg (10st 10) which will get my bmi down to the normal range.

jchocchip · 18/02/2012 07:11

Hello peeps. Saturday weigh in for mfp and its 2lb on. Not too worried as I weigh every day on the wii and my graph is up and down over the course of a month and the trend is down. Annoyed I havn't broken the 19 stone barrier yet, but maybe next week! I'm back at work with less time to swim so only 1 swim this week. Ran c25k yesterday week 8 and I am much fitter than when I started... Hope to find some time to lift some heavy weights or do body pump soon. I've tried 30 day shred but find that really hard :(

trice · 18/02/2012 09:41

Going to be a tough day today. dcs are poorly so I didn't get a lot of sleep and will be stuck in the house bored all day. All big overeating triggers for me.
On the plus side, dh has eaten all my valentines chocs so no temptation there.

I am very impressed by those of you who have been doing this for months, I am running out of steam after four weeks.

jchocchip · 18/02/2012 10:43

hope the poorly dcs feel better soon...

RGPargy · 18/02/2012 21:45

Hi everyone :)

Greyhound - what's your MFP name - i will add you.

Must apologiseif my typing goes crap. My space bar is playing up so doesn't always work! How annoying!

Have slipped slightly towards the end of this week. Not sure if it's because i had the week off work and was in holiday mode a bit too much Hmm It's weigh day on Monday but i dont think I will have lost anything. I had my friends round to lunch on Tuesday and they both bought me a box of chocs as a latebirthday pressie. I managed to give one box away to the girls at the gym (they were sainsbury's own brand Guillyans) but the other box was a small box of Thorntons. Anyway, although i'd put them out of immediate sight in the conservatory, every time i went into the conservatory (my washing maching and dryer are out there) i ended up shoving about 3 or 4 in my gob! I ended up eating the whole bloody box! The cals were 500 odd for 100g and i stuffed the whole 200g box in one day!! Blush Blush

Knee is still playingup andisquite bad today so i am yet again telling myself that i will be doing a swim tomorrow (and maybe pump) rather than doing body combat and pump but i am terrible when it comes to feeling like i'm missing out and all my gym mates reckon they'll be doing combat tomorrow..... Hmm Will make a reviseddecision inthe morning when i can assess the damage.:o

annieshaf · 19/02/2012 22:35

Hi all.
Can I join in please. Have been using MFP since just after Xmas when I decided I needed to get serious about losing the baby weight instead of just talking about it ( ds2 is now 4!). Started at 11 st 5 and have lost just over a stone already so feeling positive about reaching my goal of 9 st 6 by the time we go on hols at the beginning of June.
I am trying to exercise 3 times a week but have missed one this week as its half term and I have struggled to find the time.
Would be great to have some Mfp friends as am feeling a bit lonely on there at the moment.

RGPargy · 20/02/2012 21:08

Hello and welcome! What's your MFP name and I will add you! :o

bexsybooboo · 21/02/2012 06:37

Book marking - don't want to lose you all Smile

Codandchops · 21/02/2012 06:39

I have had a crappy 10 days - fallen off the wago - not loads but enough to gain a 1lb!

Did well yesterday and then had fish and chips.

Today is a new day and today I will do it and be under my calorie allowance.

saynothing · 21/02/2012 10:37

My bad knees starting to play up now too rgpargy think it's a combination of starting c25k and 30ds in the one wk, may have to stop both if it gets much worse as I don't want to have to stop all exercise because of it. Gym, zumba circuits etc doesn't seem to bother it which is weird.

Inspireme123 here btw.

annieshaf · 21/02/2012 10:39

Hello
RGPargy my name is Annieshaf the same as on here. Ta very much. How is your knee now?

Cod Don't worry 1 lb is nothing I can weigh an extra lb just by checking at the wrong time of day. I'm sure you will soon make up for it.

Had a good day exercise wise yesterday but am starting to sneak in a few too many snacks now. I try to log them all but I most of the time I forget. Weight loss has slowed down recently and that's probably why. Although i sometimes wonder if I am not eating enough and my metabolism will slow down. Has anybody else found this and do you think regular exercise will prevent it?

IBlameThePenguins · 21/02/2012 10:46

Hi. Would you mind if I joined you? I am back on the mfp wagon after faking of spectacularly over my birthday week.

I'm getting married in august, and have figured out that if I lose 1lb a week, I will be at goal for my wedding day! Eeek!

I am going to weigh on a wednesday, and need all the help I can get!

My name is amiehotchpotch if anyone wants to add me. X

trice · 21/02/2012 11:11

How many calories in a pancake with nutella do you think? I usually would eat about four so just having the one is going to be hard.

Hello penguins and annieshaf, nice to have you aboard.

I had some nice comments yesterday from friends in my walking group who noticed that they were not having to wait quite as long for me to get up the hill.

IBlameThePenguins · 21/02/2012 11:57

Thanks for the welcome trice!

I've put my back out, so am on bed rest (and lots of diazepam) at the moment, I really want to get exercising, but I hires it'll have to take a back seat for now, am managing to stick to my calorie allowance though!

Hhhhm, pancake and nutella! :-)

IBlameThePenguins · 21/02/2012 11:58

That was meant to say I guess... I can't quite get to grips with this new phone!

RGPargy · 21/02/2012 22:44

Hi penguins and annieshaf. Can't seem to add you on the app so will attempt tomorrow to add you from the laptop as I'm in bed now lol.

Knee is getting much better with the lack of exercise (eek!) and all being well I will be doing step and pump in the morning. I will have another Three rest days after that so I'm not too bothered if it aches a little.

Isn't it funny how circuits won't affect your knee! I think my trouble is that I tend to lock my knee without knowing it and then move on it, which is what probably pulls it out. I've noticed myself locking my knee out all the time! Can't help matters, surely?!

I had 2 pancakes with banana and nutella after dinner tonight bi suspect I have gone well over my cals today! Blush

RGPargy · 21/02/2012 22:44

Penguins - hope your back gets better soon. Sounds bloody painful!!

IBlameThePenguins · 21/02/2012 22:59

Thank You RGP! Thank goodness for MN and iplayer, I'd be bored beyond belief otherwise. It's so frustrating being off work, but not mobile enough to enjoy it! Hope your knee's OK. What did you do to it? Blush

I went over my cal allowance today - it was kind of worth it for the delicious third pancake, but I'm sure I'll regret it when I weigh in tomorrow!

bishboschone · 22/02/2012 13:57

Hi , just popped in to say I have lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks . Smile I know it's not healthy bla bla to lose that quickly but I'm happy . Smile I have told loads of people about the app and we all feel like we have had an epiphany . It's fab .. Good luck everyone
