I've had the 30 day shred for around a month. I've done three days at the start of the month and then "missed" a day and didnt pick it back up.

I have a wedding in a month and I have to shift the tummy.Plus i've recently had my hair cropped and now my face looks like a turnip.(bad dying escapade!)

Who's with me?Lets do it together and spur each other on!!

Starting tomorrow!

all the other threads are further on so I thought i's start a new one.

I can get my chest up, but only a little bit. Bizzarely, my big toes hurt, where they get pushed forward in my trainers doing those blardy sumo squats and jumping lunges!

SlinkyB · 01/09/2011 21:43

Don't even go there withthe jumping lunges! My poor knees are totally knackered. It's actually got to the point where I don't think it's worth ruining joints over?! So may have to ditch and run off to Davina or Wii Fit or something Sad

Got up to L3 Day 6.5(yes, I actually turned it off halfway through yesterday!).

FWIW, I liked the Supermans (you get to lie down!) but struggled with the rockstars and totally phoned it in Wink

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 02/09/2011 00:13

L3D2! Actually I am starting to quite enjoy it in a strange way Shock even though some of the individual exercises are evil. Think I like L3 better than L2, that always gave me a dizzy head with all the planky jumpy things. And it is nice when you actually start feeling a bit stronger and fitter!

mamasunshine · 02/09/2011 07:34

Well did L1D1 (again!) yesterday Smile I'm back on it! God it's hard to find that motivation to do the 1st day, but I'm not missing a day unless I'm too poorly to manage now I've passed that hurdle!

Well done to all those on L3...can't wait! Although I am worried about my poor knees and calves!

mamasunshine · 02/09/2011 16:14

L1D2 done Smile Much easier this time around, but still hard and oh the sweat Blush

Come on kid press that play button Grin !

ellenbrody · 02/09/2011 21:23

L3 D8 done, 2 to go woo-hoo!! (actually no point being excited as I will just start again with heavier weights).
Well done mamasunshine, it is a very sweaty affair.

mamasunshine · 03/09/2011 10:26

L1D3 done Smile

Well done ellen wow, you're nearly at the end Grin Please tell me it's made a difference to your body shape/tone????

kid · 03/09/2011 12:38

lol @ mama I'm enjoying my break at the moment Grin
I'm going to the gym tomorrow so maybe that will kickstart my exercise?
Back to work Monday so I'm hoping the routine will help me stick to my healthy eating and exercising as both have gone out the window this month!

mamasunshine · 04/09/2011 11:21

L1D4 done Smile very pleased with myself, and feeling very motivated...really want to become an exercise addict!

kid Grin

kid · 04/09/2011 16:56

I had a terrible time at the gym today, I almost fainted several times. That was not the experience I was hoping for on my return. Oh well, perhaps it will get easier with time? I hope so.

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 04/09/2011 23:36

Well I have missed 3 days cos of being away for the weekend, then did something really painful to my knee today tidying up after the DCs(!) so I hope it isn't anything serious, will be gutted if I have to miss more days cos I wanted to do a big push ahead of going on holiday!

I am really starting to notice some differences now, still not as much as I would like but then I did have quite a lot to lose so I suppose you can't expect miracles (and have only just started L3 too) - I think if I just keep doing it and try to eat a bit better then time should make more difference. My top half looks way better though (getting more arm and shoulder definition) and I am starting to get a waist again and a bit more shape round my sides; but still need to shift the big wobbly bit in the middle of my belly, and my bum and thighs, which sadly haven't got noticeably smaller yet...

I have got a lot fitter too though, you feel like you aren't because the levels get harder as you get fitter; but I can now do a whole minute of full sit-ups without stopping or bracing my feet, which I could NEVER have done before! So overall I'm really glad to have started it.

mamasunshine · 05/09/2011 19:01

L1D5 done Smile

kid - had you eaten enough and had enough water? VI to makesure you're doing both things esp. water!

I've noticed ever sp slightly a difference to my under bust area. Also mid and bottom heavy so hopefully won't take too long to make some changes down there Hmm

kid · 05/09/2011 19:40

mama I had weetabix and a banana an hour before the class. The class started at 10:30 so that was the only meal before going. I always take water and drink about 1litre during the class.

I suffer from low blood pressure which occasionally causes me to faint but it's usually okay providing I don't skip meals.

I have the same class tomorrow evening, I seriously hope I don't have the same problem. It's a bit scary when I do faint and embarrassing when I come round as everyone is fussing and an ambulance is often on it's way Grin

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 05/09/2011 22:54

L3D3 yay! DH did it too but he was being a wuss and not doing any of the squats and things properly Grin Am enjoying the novelty of being better than him at something sporty for once!

mamasunshine · 07/09/2011 10:06

Oh kid sounds a nightmare for you! How did your class go last night? Have you had any advice from GP/nurse?

myname - my dh just watched and he was exhausted! And he's fairly fit, plays football weekly and does training a couple of times too!

Well I had a rest day yesterday as had a headache alllllllll day! SO will do day 6 today before doing some work and shopping etc.

I'm really struggling with the press ups, how does everyone else manage with them? I have to do the easier version, but after day 5 was struggling to even keep up with that?!! I would loveto ba able to do a man pressup one day Grin

ellenbrody · 07/09/2011 16:20

mamasunshine, I thought that about the push ups! By the end of L3 I could even manage the travelling ones, so you do build up strength quickly.
I HAVE noticed a difference in my body, I have not measured myself, but my DH says I look trimmer :) . My thighs are firmer, as are my upper arms and my tummy, especially the upper part is a bit flatter.

kid · 07/09/2011 21:27

mama the class went okay last night. I spoke to the gym instructor and as its not happened before, he doubts its anything to worry about and if it does happen again during the class, I should just step back to give myself time to recover.
He also suggested eating eggs for protein before a class (I happened to have egg yesterday lunchtime) and drink plenty of water.

I've got a different class tomorrow, its going to be tough as I haven't been there for a very long time!

As I've also taken up a 40 minute each day, I am delaying starting the shred just yet as I don't want to over do it and end up in agony!

mamasunshine · 08/09/2011 20:42

L1D6 done Smile have had a 2 day break from shred, was just too busy yesterday and walked 6+ miles with buggy so did a little work out! Definitely felt stonger having had a break, I managed to do all the press ups (just!) only the easy version though.

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 08/09/2011 23:05

Hmf well I did L3 D4 the other day but then ended up having 2 days off again, grr. Yesterday I was just honestly too knackered, had been pushing a pushchair one-handed while bent over towing DD on her scooter with the other hand (which she can't really ride yet, but needed to stop the fights with DS!) and my back was killing me afterwards plus was just mega tired! Then I did mean to do it today though but then DH said to wait for him cos he wanted to do it too, then phone rang, etc etc and next thing it was nearly 10pm and I refuse to do it that late else will never sleep! But must get back on the wagon tomorrow...

I sometimes nearly wish I hadn't got DH to try it, he keeps wanting to do it now and although in a way it's nice to do it together, I end up having to wait for him, having to mind out of the way (especially as the only weights he's got are the weights-bench enormous sort so I don't want to get clonked by them!) and he distracts me. Oh well!

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 08/09/2011 23:06

PS I still have to go on my knees for the pressups too after the first few Grin

Nolda · 11/09/2011 21:02

Hi, have been hiding as have been bad at shredding. Have recently been doing more and have now done L3D2. Can anyone tell me about breathing in the supermans? Do you breathe out while you are 'flying' or while splatted on the carpet? I'm actually liking Level 3 more this time round as I'm stronger than last time. However, the rockstars and the jumping squat things are a killer still.

Well done everyone, especially Ellen: only 2 more days, wow!

mamasunshine · 11/09/2011 22:47

L1D7 done Smile...although just had another 2 days off shred! But now I've only got 3 days of L1 to do I'm going all out! Can't wait to start L2, I will feel like I've achieved so much Hmm !!

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 11/09/2011 23:56

I have been a bit rubbish too. Ended up having 3 days off in a row because we were away, then did it once or twice more but then today didn't do it cos I got a bit of tummy bug and thought it probably wouldn't be a good idea (even though I didn't actually feel particularly bad). Might squeeze in one more go tomorrow and then we're off on holiday - I'll have to try and keep up some exercise there, it is meant to be an active holiday so it should be possible if I can summon the willpower.

DH was telling me today that he could see quite a bit of difference, but it does seem to me that most of the differences are on my top half (got proper "swimmer's shoulders" now and I think my boobs look better too!) but that there isn't yet that much difference to my bum/thighs and belly which needed the most work. But after the holiday I plan to restart (well not necessarily back to L1 but at least doing L2 and 3 some more) and hopefully then will get some more improvements; especially as I did miss lots of days this time round.
