The bloatedness had got quite uncomfortable so I’ve missed a day today (should have been my 4th) not surprisingly the food noise was louder, but I’m not indulging as stomach still a bit sore but I’m not as bloated. I googled it to see if it was ok to take one every other day & it says that you shouldn’t as your body really isn’t going to get use to it so will only prolong the side effects. Med Ex nurse advised me to stop taking them until I see a GP, purely on the basis of getting a bad headache on the day one, slight constipation & bloatedness. Now I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to waste £80!

I had a headache on day one and two , it went after that . Also the same as you with constipation and being bloated , I started taking psyhill husk daily and colpermine every now and then , and that helped .
also because I’m eating less I’m not going to the toilet as much .

im due to start 4mg and im a bit nervous .

Going back on the injections when this pack ends, I can’t wait half an hour for a coffee in the mornings!

coeliacsucks · 08/09/2026 20:30

Can I play 👋
I started 42 days ago just ordered my 2nd lot of 4mg as whilst the food noise has quieter it’s not gone totally but I want to learn to live with it for when I come off. I’m 18lb down and lots still to go!

MIWillNeverLetYouDown · 08/09/2026 21:26

I just started today on 1.5mg, DH has done 1 month on 1.5mg and starts 4mg tomorrow

DestituteDesperate · 09/09/2026 13:04

Finally took the tablet after a lot of apprehension and anxiety.

I really need to lose 40lbs but realistically I’ll aim for 25lbs

DestituteDesperate · 09/09/2026 17:58

I had a headache within an hour of taking the tablet.

I did the school pick up and found the fresh air helped.

no noticeable difference in appetite.

I had 3 boiled eggs for lunch, breadsticks and soft cheese.

im about to have lamb chops and spinach now my LO is tucked up in bed.

I’ve still been thinking of food all day but pushed through with no snacking on crisps and chocolates during the day.

For the first two days of taking the tablet I had a headache, but it went away, i also didn’t notice the appetite suppression for a week or so . Then it kicked it , began to wear off by the end of 3 weeks , but I had lost 8 pounds .
I’m day 3 into the 4mg and Iv had no side effects but there’s a strong suppression

This is good to hear because I’ve just had my dinner around six o clock and consistently stuffed my face with the usual crap I have been doing.
Was going to report back I must be a non responder lol

Just wondering if anyone has taken a mix of 1.5mg and 4mg before moving to 9mg?
Ive just reordered 4mg but half wish I'd moved up a dose.
I have a week's worth of 1.5mg and just wondered if it would be worth taking them alongside my 4mg to see if I could get a "boost" for a week.
Has anyone else done this?

SweetLathyrus · 10/09/2026 10:16

Morning All,
I started 1.5mg 02/09, but I've just been reading until now.
Starting weight was 66.7kg (sorry can only work in metric!), and I'm just 1.54 m.
My main issue has been putting on weight after successive knee injuries, and falling into increasingly bad sugar addiction.

I've had a couple of bouts of mild nausea particularly after drinking coffee but no other side effects.

For me the best thing has been that the siren song of crisps and ice cream disappeared almost straight away, as did any thought of a glass (or three) of wine. If anything, the suppression has been too strong, so I need to plan my meals more carefully going forward.

Anyway, weigh-in this morning, I wasn't able to stand on the scales without crutches before, and I'm 65kg, rather more of a loss than I'd like if I'm honest, but I'm sure it'll even out.

holachicatita · 10/09/2026 22:50

I started on 1.5mg on Monday morning and sadly I'm not feeling any appetite suppression yet. Is this normal? I'd be expecting to feel something after four days

jackstini · 10/09/2026 23:03

So upset today - weighed and have put on 2kg in 21 days. What am I doing wrong? 😭

seeyouyesterday · 11/09/2026 11:01

On day 6, so stuck it out. Bloating has subsided. Started to feel hungry today though, my stomach actually grumbled! At an estimate, & I say estimate as I’m not sure if an exact starting weight as my scales are not reliable I think I’ve lost about 5lb & I have been eating good, apart from a few cookies! It’s been good for me to curb the evening munchies. Only today the suppression isn’t as strong so I’m hoping my body hasn’t got used to it already only after week that I need to increase the dose already, surely not.

cheeseomelette · 11/09/2026 17:27

Weighed this morning - 2 weeks in, 8 tablets down on 1.5g (every other day) and I’m down 5.5 lbs.
I am pleased with that! I’ve been loosely tracking calories out of interest and to monitor protein and I’m coming in at 1200-1500 most days.
Each tablet gives me suppression for 48 hours and it peaks in the second day. I’ve just done 2 consecutive days and I definitely feel mildly queasy today. I might skip tomorrow and go to 2 in 3.

a friend who lost 9 stone on mounjaro has warned against going for any higher dose than you feel you absolutely need. She says that she is pretty immune to the effects now and is a bit concerned about what happens if she regains weight.

SssshButWeAllKnow · 13/09/2026 17:20

Oooh the lbs are dropping here now. I side effects other than feeling uncomfortably full of I eat bread. I very rarely eat it anyway so it’s all good.

Still glad to have swapped back to the injection though. The tablet really is only effective if you put nothing else in your stomach for half an hour. I can barely function without a cup of tea so it’s been hard.

still have a £60 code for Bolt if anyone wants it.

SssshButWeAllKnow · 13/09/2026 17:21

Sorry about the typos- i definitely need an eye test!

I've managed the 8 hr fast and no food or liquids for 30mins by having the tablets in my bedside draw and taking them as soon as I'm awake with water (also next to the bed ready), rather than as I'm getting up.

I can do it because I wake up naturally. I haven't set an alarm in years. So I listen to the radio for a while, and then by the time I have fed the dogs and put the coffee maker on, more than the 30 mins has passed.

SweetLathyrus · 14/09/2026 06:54

Congratulations @cheeseomelette @seeyouyesterday & @SssshButWeAllKnow on the losses.

SoozieT69 · 14/09/2026 08:07

Hi All, Thinking of starting on Wegovy pill but a bit nervous, would like some reviews from current users please 🙂 Suppose im most worried about side effects....being sick mainly!

SweetLathyrus · 14/09/2026 08:19

@SoozieT69 , I had two incidences of being sick, but both were avoidable - drinking black coffee on an empty stomach! Planning for small, high protein snacks/meals helps enormously for me. If I know I can't manage a meal, I have a few raw (unsalted) almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, or small cubes of Emmental (more palatable than cheddar for this purpose for me).

cheeseomelette · 14/09/2026 09:06

It was black coffee on an empty stomach for me too. I’m still not great with that, nor white wine at any time of day.

All other side effects went in a week, thankfully.

Haalan · 14/09/2026 10:52

@SoozieT69 I was really nervous about starting as well. I had the tablets for about a month before I started them. I’ve been taking them for about 12 days now. I did have to miss a pill because I had made bad dietary choices and this caused me to have stomach pain and bloating. Otherwise it’s been fine.

Best of luck!!

loveev · 14/09/2026 12:08

@SoozieT69 I was really apprehensive as well. The only side effect I have is constipation .

i am 5 weeks in and I have lost 11 pounds . The 4mg has a the most appetite suppression for me .
