I’ve collected mine today and will be starting tomorrow morning.

Imtoooldforallthis · 21/07/2026 15:02

I'm starting mine tomorrow, slightly worried about possible side effects when I'm at work

bluewhitebluewhite · 21/07/2026 15:28

Have you switched to the tablets from something else? I’ve been in Mounjaro for nearly 2 years and it’s worked brilliantly for me but I’m thinking about the cost and convenience of tablets.

YourCleverSheep · 21/07/2026 15:31

Theres a couple of very supportive threads for July starters... wegovy pill and starting ozempic wegovy July thread, Im on day 7

NortyTorty · 21/07/2026 15:36

Have you had any side effects yet

LondonCheesecake · 21/07/2026 16:44

I started on Sunday, so day 3 for me. I'm using Slimpod as well as I'm trying to retrain my to make any changes permanent. I absolutely have to lose this weight but it needs to stay off as I can't afford this indefinitely. So far no side effects. I'm going bro weigh on Sunday.

I've decided to buy through Bolt as to me, they seemed cheapest long term. If anyone fancies £40 off their first order I can send you a referral link.

Nothing noticeable yet.

jugof · 21/07/2026 18:18

Oohhh hello everyone ! So good to see others just starting

I haven't been on any other GLP1s so it's all new to me - taking tablets seems less scary than injections for me

Me neither, I really really don't want to lose loads and look scrawny I'm hoping for a nice gentle loss.

jugof · 21/07/2026 19:17

I have about 2 stone to lose and yes, worried about the scrawny look and also saggy skin where my double chin currently lives!!

Bookaholic73 · 21/07/2026 19:53

I have mine arriving tomorrow and will be starting on Thursday. I am so nervous!

I’ve never tried a GLP1 before, so this is all new to me too.
I have 15kg to lose.

Champagnecharleyismyname · 21/07/2026 21:15

Please can you let me know which pharmacies will dispense the wegovy pill to BMI 26 - 27?

Lala105 · 21/07/2026 22:19

I’m starting tomorrow. A bit wary as this is the first time I’ve used weight loss medication. I have 2 stone to lose

Been on them for 10 days now. No real side effects apart from slight acid reflux. Also no real appetite suppression yet either, unfortunately.

I was on Mounjaro last year for around 10 months before the price increase and the suppression was almost instant.

jugof · 22/07/2026 19:11

I already have regular acid reflux so Im expecting Ill definitely get that side effect, Im emetophobic which has put me off so far with the jabs, but my fear is mostly about catching bugs and that awful relentless nausea and vomiting which Im trying to rationalise wont be the case, most likely some bouts of nausea, I have anti sickness tablets and pepto bismol ready just in case!

On day 2 so very early days and just wondering when to expect to feel any different?

socks1107 · 23/07/2026 11:57

I’ve just ordered with bolt. I actually only have half a stone I want to lose but have done 3.5 by myself with my weight stalling since March. It’s been so frustrating when I’m eating 1450 calories a day, swimming, walking 12k steps and weight lifting that I have given in. My plan is actually to stay on them until January so I can navigate the autumn as I have three holidays booked, multiple social occasions etc. the half stone should be off by my first holiday and I’ll have a bmi of 24.5 at that point. I have high bp and take medication so there was no issue in prescribing to me. They were approved with ten minutes.

I’ve gone round in circles over this decision for months but the tablets coming out and my weight being up a 1lb again today have confirmed I need some help for the last push, I’m so tired of fighting every pound and urge to eat. At least I’m great at maintenance!!

Sojazzy · 23/07/2026 12:48

I'm 12 days in and 9 pounds down on the starting dose. Never used jabs/other meds before. Some slight nausea feeling in a few mornings, sugary tasting stuff is a no. Been eating clean focussing on protein and do weight training. Tried a tiny bit of chocolate last night, and I weirdly didn't like the taste. It seems to be working for me, early days and fingers crossed. Fyi, I have a fair bit of timber to lose, I'm a curvy UK16 on top, 18 bottom

Well done @Sojazzy. The tablets sound much more appealing than the jabs.

I am 60, tall so have a lot to loose over 4 stone but also don’t want the gaunt/aged, E.T. look. Also have a couple of long term health conditions under active thyroid, long term anaemia and coeliac so unsure if I could get them. Do the side effects make you rush to the loo or just nausea?

StonwEd · 23/07/2026 13:26

Day 11 - 9 pounds down and all is well. It's a really odd thing you just sort of forget about food. But when I do way I'm still really excited about good food. Creamy or fried is a no no i found out last night but that's fine!

StonwEd · 23/07/2026 13:26

Oh and I started 12st 5 and I'm 5ft3

What happened without being too graphic?

I read that fried/sugary/fatty foods make you go to the loo on this. I have had one episode where I had greek yoghurt with protein powder and strawberries for breakfast and that made me run to the loo. Otherwise ok. I had one day I felt a bit constipated, I don't think I drank enough water. If I eat fairly healthily and drink water I don't seem to get gastro issues. I burp a bit more.
