Collagen isn’t a complete protein, you’re better eating chicken/fish/beef

It isn’t, you’re right. It still helps in ways that protein can’t though x

I am on day 4. From day 1 I felt very full after eating a meal, so have cut down portion sizes. I have occasionally felt slightly nauseous. Day 1 and 2 I had no bowel movement then on day 3 had a very loose bm. Last night I had bad stomach cramps. I no longer want to snack and that is huge for
me! The positives outweigh the negatives.

Becuriousnotjudgemental1980 · 27/07/2026 11:54

I’ve switching from wegovy injections to tablets. Purely because of the nausea I get the day or two after the injections. I’m hoping that taking a tablet once a day will not be as brutal.

This is what I was expecting but so far nothing much

Hoppinggreen · 27/07/2026 12:30

First tablet this morning and feel a bit queasy and burpy but I have Reflux anyway so thats not unusual. i did feel a bit dizzy but not sure if thats related
I have had a coffee with milk and a small piece of toast so far, the toast did settle my stomach a bit
It reminds me of being pg and having morning sickness when food really wasn't an option
I am terrible at drinking water though so I need to get better at that

Helpisneeded100 · 27/07/2026 14:27

My tablets have arrived, I start tomorrow!

Weeellokthen · 27/07/2026 14:37

Can I just say to you all on wl injections/tablets, please, please excersize. I know so many ladies who look truly awful after drastic weight loss. I do understand the absolute need to move away from being larger but i'm truly horrified at how aged/wrinkly/sagging the skin becomes.
I really need/want to go on them but seeing my friends/colleagues has given me pause.
Please find the time to lift weights whilst on them
Sorry if I'm coming across as nasty, it is not my intention

SilenceInside · 27/07/2026 14:49

@Weeellokthen it's not just nasty it's also ignorant. The damage to your skin will have already been caused by the weight gain. Whether or not your skin becomes loose, crepey etc once you lose the weight depends on your age, genetics and any pre-existing skin damage. Lifting weights, while great exercise, is going to do very little to address this pre-existing damage. I think it's very very naive to think that it will. It's also irrelevant whether people are on medication to lose weight or if they are losing weight without that support.

It's also very insulting to those of use who have some loose skin and crepeyness, to suggest that if we had just done a few more tricep dips or whatever that we could have avoided it. I've lost 11st, I've been obese for decades, my skin was never going to snap back and I think all things considered it's a better result than remaining obese. If you are obese then please don't let a fear of loose skin put you off losing the weight as it will benefit your health which is significantly more important than your appearance.

It comes across as nasty and very judgemental. I’ve lost 3.5 stone, I weight lift three times a week, swim weekly and walk an average of 12k steps a day. I have a touch of loose skin in some surprising places to be honest but to say I could’ve done more is nasty.
being a healthy weight is more important for our futures and a bit of skin doesn’t bother me whether it’s on a obese body or a skinny one. I don’t look at people and think they look awful, I judge that by how they act. Don’t be so judgy on a thread where people are trying their best

I think most of us on this journey aren’t strangers to exercise and I’d rather have loose skin than the extra 3 stone I’m lugging around.

You would seriously rather have loose, sagging skin on your arms than 3st extra on your body? Well I can assure you the many women I know have not been excercising whilst on wli.
I would rather lug my 3st around than appear 15-20yrs older and feeling even worse than I do already.

Respectfully, this is not the thread for you. Go and dispense your advice elsewhere.

I can dispense my advice anywhere I like, thank you very much. I live in the UK, where we have free speech and this is a public forum.
Good luck on your "journey" x

blizymitzy · 28/07/2026 12:53

can i join you please as Ive just been approved for the tablets snd looking forward to starting them .
ive lost 1 stone by myself but can’t seem to shift anymore so have ordered.
i want to lose 20 pounds ideally.

ChantelleGarvey · 28/07/2026 13:08

Just been approved for mine and planning to order soon (I work in a school, so ideally would like to get any side effects out of the way before September!) - if anyone has a Bolt code feel free to PM me, as I don't seem to be able to PM anyone at the moment. Not sure if it's an issue with my PC or with MN...

I'm thinking of using protein shakes sometimes as I'm not really a breakfast person, but would like to have something to start the day with - does anyone else use these?

LoopyGremlin · 28/07/2026 13:50

@ChantelleGarveyI have sent you a referral code for Bolt!

I have a bolt code but not sure how pm on my phone! I can do it later when home off my laptop

Helpisneeded100 · 28/07/2026 20:37

Day 1 for me, so far no side effects. I definitely wasn’t as hungry as normal which was a really nice feeling to not be thinking about food. Will be interesting to see what tomorrow is like.

pouletvous · 28/07/2026 20:52

Day three done

no dramatic changes but im feeling full in the evenings

no nausea or negative side effects yet

socks1107 · 28/07/2026 21:34

Day 3 for me done. Nausea has been awful! All day and no respite. That said I’ve eaten much less - still managed 1300 calories and 17.5k steps but not easily.
im just waiting to hear from my provider about missing tmrws dose. The temp is London will be 35ish and I have a 90 minute train and tube commute plus a non air con office where I can feel sick just from the heat. Thursday is a wfh day so will take day 4 then.
suppression is good though and if I can clear the nausea I’ll be thrilled! I even had to go buy some anti sickness tablets at lunch time

ChantelleGarvey · 29/07/2026 00:03

Thank you to everyone who offered me a referral code!! @LoopyGremlin I've used yours and placed a Bolt order, just waiting for it to be approved - does everyone just cancel after a month and find a cheaper supplier? Or is there any hope of Bolt reducing the cost for subsequent months too?!

Yellow2024 · 29/07/2026 06:36

I think im day 5. The fullness i was feeling is starting to lessen although I dont snack in the evenings now. Im constipated as well so im hoping that will resolve!
Overall still going ok.

Bigminnie1 · 29/07/2026 07:34

I want to start taking these- do they get rid of the food noise/constantly thinking and stressing about food/wanting to eat all the time/constantly hungry? I need to lose about 2 stone and nothing has ever worked for me as I always give up after a week.

LoopyGremlin · 29/07/2026 08:00

Thanks @ChantelleGarvey. That will help with next month’s purchase!

So my first injection is today. I’ve also got a gym appointment to get a weights regime sorted out. Feeling good! 💪

socks1107 · 29/07/2026 08:03

I did skip today’s dose, my nausea is greatly reduced today but I just could not face another day of it. I don’t know what I was expecting but I weighed myself today and even though I’ve eaten far less than normal all week the scales are up. All that horrible feeling for not even a couple of hundred grams this morning! I still have some suppression this morning as the idea of what I’ve in for tea make me feel yuck. I’ll take tablet 4 tomorrow and go from there
