Looks like our first thread is almost full so thought I'd start a new one and link it.
The one where we head into the summer feeling lighter and hopefully on the right path x

So I had slowed right down to a lb per week on 3.75 and went up to 5mg last week for the first time. I felt just the same on it to be honest - no side effects. I had my period so a bit of a sore tummy one evening but O don’t think that was connected. Weighed in this morning and I’m down over 3lbs again - a lovely kick start! That’s 32lbs gone more or less now and I really haven’t felt it. It’s a miracle.

I have stepped on the scales today (staying with husband’s family for 2 weeks) and have put on 3lbs 😭 First gain since I’ve started, and although there had been more snacking and the odd alcoholic refreshment, I didn’t think I’d over indulged that much. Just shows that you really need to track as I’ve been hitting my steps daily and managed a strength session. Hope everyone else has a better week 🤞

You’ll get back I’m sure. I had the same +0.9kg after a holiday with no tracking.

Ive accepted that I’ll need to track all my life in maintenance

NettleTea · 10/07/2026 17:29

so do you people think that the higher dosages make you lose more weight? Because Im still on 2.5mg but I still have good suppression, and Im still diligently weighing and counting and around 1200 calories a day. I have been losing and it seems steady. as far as I was aware its about the food noise to help you keep on track with the calories, or is it more than that

Frederick12 · 10/07/2026 17:59

Hey there, have taken M since 1st June, so just over 5 weeks. I have Hashimoto and on 200mcg Levothyroxin. Despite being conscious of food choices and reasonable activity, weight ballooned from 80kg Sep last year to 90kg. I just gave up - the second I was not dieting and restricting food, my body just bloated. Since starting M have lost 10kg. Still on lowest dosis - and, ironically- I was at least initially eating MORE. But here are the key changes: I crave healthy foods and don’t fancy sweet food at all- that even goes for flavoured water. I actually go to the loo - normally when I try to restrict food, that simply stops…. I also have zero side effects (except a lighter wallet) and hugely encouraged by what others write here

No not necessarily for me but what I have found is that my suppression becomes less when I am ready to move up to the next dose.

I had a big loss last week, really unusual for me at this stage. It was my second week of being on 5mg, the suppression being greater and more effective, which made it easy to stay within my calories.

So for me it's the efficiency of the food suppression of the new, higher doses as the old become not quite enough.

You’ve lost 10kg since 1st June?!

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 11/07/2026 17:34

So after a dodgy jab site I’ve lost 1lb this week. I’ve always been slow and steady so no surprise there. Starting weight 30th March was 12 stone 5, current weight is 10 stone 2. Target weight is 9 stone.

NettleTea · 12/07/2026 12:00

dose 12 just taken and another kg ooff this morning which I am very happy about as Im in the 12 stone bracket now (and hopefully not for long) BMI heading towards the 30 mark - does anyone know if it gets tricky to source pens once you go below 30? I am still on 2.5mg and just taken my second dose from my first 5mg pen, and I have a 7.5mg heading my way from Bolt who are obviously blissfully unaware that I golden dosed and am now click counting.

I THOUGHT I was going to get my referral code used by my sister, but sadly she had trouble with uploading photos, so has gone with a different supplier

so I will be looking on monj I suspect for the next one, although this is the time of year Im working more, so may be worth stocking up while I can, and seeing if I can persuade anyone to use my Bolt referral!!

starting weight 94kg
current weight 82.1 kg

target weight 60 kg

MyGardenDaisies · 12/07/2026 17:26

Hi!

I’ve had a big milestone today, I’m now over 50% towards my goal.
start 150kg
current 122.2kg
goal 95kg
I have lost 27.8kg in 10 months, of which 13.5kg on Mounjaro in 12w6d. It’s been a very good week for me, over 2kg loss as I’ve been super regimented with my calorie intake.

Also had a NSV today - was able to go on the kids trampoline/cushion thing with my child 🥺 last time I couldn’t and remember wanting to go with her one day, and today was the day 🙌

I have lost faster on a higher dose but I might go back down to the 2.5 as I was still losing on it just slooooowly but that’s ok

TFICoffeetime · 13/07/2026 14:22

I started in April. I started at 12 stone 3
I'm now 10 stone 5.6. So nearly at 2 stone loss.
My initial target was 10 stone. But it is now 9 stone.
I.may though get to 10 stone and pause. My intention being to eat diverse foods and ensure that I am healthy. Keep on with additional bits and minerals for few months and then come back on it for the final 1 stone.
I'll just see how I feel.
The side effects have been quite tough & I'm enjoying the energy and lightness I am feeling.
Well done everyone on great losses & getting through. Xx

NettleTea · 13/07/2026 17:28

we seem to be fairly equitable around the amount we have lost, as a group - whether that be on 2.5 or 5 or more. Its interesting. Im quite happy on the 2.5 and my suppression seems very managable, but it does confirm to me that I had something very amiss with inflammation which really fought me in losing weight. The 2.5 which seems to be enough to dampen down the inflammation, as it what my lymph clinician and therapist both stressed (STAY LOW) really does seem to be enough.
I want to take it steady anyway - I want my skin to keep up with the loss, and I want to learn what a healthy portion looks like. I do really notice that Im not craving the snacks of high carb/processed fatty stuff and that is great. I need this to be sustainable. And I need to be able to work out what daily allowance will allow me to keep at my target once I am there - even though I may (like my therapist) need a fortnightly/ 3 weekly microdose to keep the inflammation under control to stop everything ballooning again.Im aware that my journey is quite complex, but right now Im just plodding on to my goal

Z0rr0 · 13/07/2026 21:06

I’m hoping to hit 1.5 stone lost by the end of this week. That would make me 11’7. Loss remains slow but constant. Just ordered my third 5ml pen. I think I will take it on holiday but maybe not the sharps box as I worry it will show up on the airport scan. Might just keep the sharps somewhere safe until I get back. Then to hopefully get on with losing my last stone. At the speed it’s going it could be nearly Christmas before I get there, but that would be a nice way to close out the year.

Z0rr0 · 13/07/2026 21:07

Btw I’m with IQ Doctor and I have a £40 off referral code if anyone wants one.

MyGardenDaisies · 13/07/2026 21:41

Hey!
So finished week 13 with -1.7kg, and total 13kg lost. That’s more than in the entire weeks 9-12 (-1.5kg only), so very happy to be back on track.

Got some stomach bug today, so not feeling the best, but optimistic to have another good week to keep the 1kg/week average.

Scrabsqueak · 14/07/2026 16:39

Hi everyone, some great losses and positive stories here. Fantastic us!
I wonder if I could ask some advice. Started April at 12 st 3, after v slow start lost consistently till about 3 weeks ago. Now 10st 11. Great loss, was happy when I got down to there, but have now hovered around this mark for 3 weeks. Admittedly was a holiday in there, but did not overeat. My suppression not bad though less than before, and also noticed I fancy alcohol more now, and definitely sugar.
My question is, would people suggest I try 5mg to try and boost loss and sweet tooth suppression, or ride it out at 2.5mg and hope things even out over next pen. TBH, it’s not so much the cost putting me off, as the side effects which have been negligible on 2.5 really.
Thanks for any input.

NettleTea · 14/07/2026 19:32

would you consider getting the 5mg pen but not going as high as 5? several people seem to have gone to 3.75 as an intermediary - plus the bonus is you can eek the pen out a bit longer

Scrabsqueak · 15/07/2026 07:22

That’s a good idea. I would definitely feel better about trying a lesser amount as up to 5 seems a big jump. Thank you.

pomegranatepie · 15/07/2026 08:26

Morning all, a little update post 50th birthday party. I have now lost 2 stone 2lbs in total.
I felt fabulous in my party dresses (I had four outfit changes throughout the party 😂 I mostly work outside and live on a smallholding and I generally live in scruffy practical clothes, so I made the most of being able to dress up!)
I sang on stage, danced until 3am and generally had a wonderful time, with a confidence I would never have had before starting this journey.

I still have another half a stone to lose to hit my target, but I am in no rush, I seem to be losing about a pound a week on this dose.

I'm off on holiday camping in France next week, will take my pen with me (in an electric coolbox), so that I can relax and enjoy the delicious food without stressing about over eating (I fully expect to gain a little, but hopefully this will keep that in check)

Well done everyone for your excellent results so far.

8 days since my post holiday weigh in and I’m back down to where I was before I left. Which is a relief. I’m still on 2.5mg, but strangely, this week my appetite has been very low and I’ve craved salads and vegetables. Maybe after the 10 day break of eating more than usual and drinking alcohol, even with healthy choices, my body was just ready to get back to my new normal.

NorthDevonBeachLover · 16/07/2026 15:56

Another week and another 1lb down, slow and steady.

ElvisandAngel · 16/07/2026 19:05

I am having a weird week, I have been on 3.75mg for weeks now and I was steadily losing weight and it was great, but this week I have a bad headache, I keep feeling sick, I have put a pound on and I am so hungry, like properly hungry most of the time.

Do you think this means it is now time to move to 5mg? I am not sure what to do. I have not changed anything I am eating I just feel really rubbish.

22sra · 17/07/2026 10:52

Could there be other factors at play? The time of your cycle etc? I have weeks where I’m up and down and feel hunger. I think it’s normal, personally. Being in a contestant calorie deficit is not sustainable. So I think our bodies show hunger signs. If you’re hungry definitely eat as that will help the nausea too. It’s similar to pregnancy nausea for me, you can’t let yourself get too hungry.
Then you will get back into a calorie deficit again.
As I said in my last post, after being away and eating three full meals a day, I’ve returned and barely been hungry this week. I’ve eaten way less than even the days before I was on holiday. No change to my dose, still on 2.5. And have lost weight again. It’s peaks and troughs, for sure.
