Looks like our first thread is almost full so thought I'd start a new one and link it.
The one where we head into the summer feeling lighter and hopefully on the right path x

Week 13 for me and golden dose of the 5mg. I’ve maintained this week which is the first time that’s happened. I’ve stayed below my calorie intake and one day I didn’t eat at all due to the suppression being so high. I don’t think I need to go up, but perhaps I need to rethink my activity levels. 2 stone down, current weight 10st 5lb, target weight is now 9 stones (previously aiming for 10st).

I was away at the weekend and had too much fast food to eat. However, I was really mindful of the options and selected the best I could.
Anyone else struggle with eating out when family and friends don’t know you are taking medication?

1kg down this week. My body seems to lose weight every other week rather than weekly!
Stuck in work today with no aircon! How's everyone else's week going?

I'm so puffy in this heat I can't imagine there is any way I will see a loss this week! Back down to 2.5, and my fatigue has definitely improved despite the weather. I went shopping and it was a delight to try all sorts of things on, and fit into size 12 comfortably.
Appetite has come back, which is good, and satiety is still strong, so I am eating still eating small portions, but actually want to eat them, definite improvement.

@NorthDevonBeachLover hiya, weigh in day for me and 1 1/2 lb for me this week, which is understandable as it was a weekend of rubbish fast food.
With this hot weather I am concerned my pen that I do not keep in the fridge could get too warm. I pick mine up on 1st jab day so have not needed to refrigerate it, also no one knows I am taking the medication.

Thanks for this post; it's helpful! Until I read it, I hadn't quite twigged that while my appetite suppression isn't hugely strong, I do get full on smaller amounts. So rather than try to minimise, I would probably find this process alot easier if I eat small portions a bit more frequently.

my lymphodema is playing up badly these lasat few days - poor old system is doing its best with the anti inflammatary part of mounjaro, but the sweltering and the extra weight Im still carrying that compromises the drainage out through the groin is really impacting.

Interestingly my lymph clinic today she could feel the nodes all active in the back of my knees, which she has never felt before in maybe 4 years of treating me - she said it felt like little grains of rice - similar to when your glands are up in your neck, and shows they are working to process something - maybe the old lymph which is finally being able to be cleared. and also a duifference in the feet and toes, despite the swelling.

so hopefully a short term swelling but a longer term sign of stuff shifting

MyGardenDaisies · Today 08:37

Morning! I’m also bloated, constipated and sleep deprived from this heat

actually up 0.7kg since Tuesday, but expecting a whoosh when heatwave ends and I get a decent sleep

pomegranatepie · Today 08:38

No loss this week, which is not a surprise, as I retain a lot of water in the heat (I was expecting a gain with how puffy I feel, so I am actually delighted to maintain) hopefully now it is cooling down the puff will deflate a bit! I also had a few drinks on Wednesday, which I haven't really been doing since I started.
I did also drop my dose back to 2.5, so maybe that has had an impact.
Week 1 loss 8lb
Week 2 loss just under 2lbs
Week 3 loss 2.5lbs
Week 4 loss 2lbs
Week 5 loss 1.5lbs
Week 6 loss 1lbs
Week 7 loss 2lbs
Week 8 loss 3.5lbs
Week 9 loss 2lbs
Week 10 loss just under 2lb
Week 11 maintain.

I'm utterly exhausted, no sleep last night, too hot and terrified dogs in the thunderstorm. So all in all a maintain is definitely a win!

Hello all. I have lost 1lb this week and I’m not surprised either. I haven’t eaten a lot in this heat but what I have eaten has likely been salty and I doubt I have been drinking enough and definitely not sleeping enough! But down is down so I am pleased. Will do my 12th jab later and my third at 3.75 which I feel fine with - no side effects at all. It’s been 29lbs done in three months - I can’t really believe it!

Stay hydrated!

pomegranatepie · Today 08:55

I have definitely eaten more salt this week too, I have been hydrating pretty well though (I think) and having electrolytes too. Perhaps I will try going back up to 3.75 again this week, although it was difficult to get a feel for how well the dose drop worked, due to the extreme heat. I might re-weigh tomorrow to try and get a better idea of what to do. It's a balancing act between effectiveness and fatigue side effects. I'd like to shift a few more pounds before my birthday party if I can, which is two weeks away now!
