Looks like our first thread is almost full so thought I'd start a new one and link it.
The one where we head into the summer feeling lighter and hopefully on the right path x

Week 13 for me and golden dose of the 5mg. I’ve maintained this week which is the first time that’s happened. I’ve stayed below my calorie intake and one day I didn’t eat at all due to the suppression being so high. I don’t think I need to go up, but perhaps I need to rethink my activity levels. 2 stone down, current weight 10st 5lb, target weight is now 9 stones (previously aiming for 10st).

Isabelle70 · 24/06/2026 05:56

I was away at the weekend and had too much fast food to eat. However, I was really mindful of the options and selected the best I could.
Anyone else struggle with eating out when family and friends don’t know you are taking medication?

NorthDevonBeachLover · 25/06/2026 09:27

1kg down this week. My body seems to lose weight every other week rather than weekly!
Stuck in work today with no aircon! How's everyone else's week going?

I'm so puffy in this heat I can't imagine there is any way I will see a loss this week! Back down to 2.5, and my fatigue has definitely improved despite the weather. I went shopping and it was a delight to try all sorts of things on, and fit into size 12 comfortably.
Appetite has come back, which is good, and satiety is still strong, so I am eating still eating small portions, but actually want to eat them, definite improvement.

Isabelle70 · 25/06/2026 13:06

@NorthDevonBeachLover hiya, weigh in day for me and 1 1/2 lb for me this week, which is understandable as it was a weekend of rubbish fast food.
With this hot weather I am concerned my pen that I do not keep in the fridge could get too warm. I pick mine up on 1st jab day so have not needed to refrigerate it, also no one knows I am taking the medication.

Thanks for this post; it's helpful! Until I read it, I hadn't quite twigged that while my appetite suppression isn't hugely strong, I do get full on smaller amounts. So rather than try to minimise, I would probably find this process alot easier if I eat small portions a bit more frequently.

my lymphodema is playing up badly these lasat few days - poor old system is doing its best with the anti inflammatary part of mounjaro, but the sweltering and the extra weight Im still carrying that compromises the drainage out through the groin is really impacting.

Interestingly my lymph clinic today she could feel the nodes all active in the back of my knees, which she has never felt before in maybe 4 years of treating me - she said it felt like little grains of rice - similar to when your glands are up in your neck, and shows they are working to process something - maybe the old lymph which is finally being able to be cleared. and also a duifference in the feet and toes, despite the swelling.

so hopefully a short term swelling but a longer term sign of stuff shifting

MyGardenDaisies · 26/06/2026 08:37

Morning! I’m also bloated, constipated and sleep deprived from this heat

actually up 0.7kg since Tuesday, but expecting a whoosh when heatwave ends and I get a decent sleep

pomegranatepie · 26/06/2026 08:38

No loss this week, which is not a surprise, as I retain a lot of water in the heat (I was expecting a gain with how puffy I feel, so I am actually delighted to maintain) hopefully now it is cooling down the puff will deflate a bit! I also had a few drinks on Wednesday, which I haven't really been doing since I started.
I did also drop my dose back to 2.5, so maybe that has had an impact.
Week 1 loss 8lb
Week 2 loss just under 2lbs
Week 3 loss 2.5lbs
Week 4 loss 2lbs
Week 5 loss 1.5lbs
Week 6 loss 1lbs
Week 7 loss 2lbs
Week 8 loss 3.5lbs
Week 9 loss 2lbs
Week 10 loss just under 2lb
Week 11 maintain.

I'm utterly exhausted, no sleep last night, too hot and terrified dogs in the thunderstorm. So all in all a maintain is definitely a win!

custardlover · 26/06/2026 08:42

Hello all. I have lost 1lb this week and I’m not surprised either. I haven’t eaten a lot in this heat but what I have eaten has likely been salty and I doubt I have been drinking enough and definitely not sleeping enough! But down is down so I am pleased. Will do my 12th jab later and my third at 3.75 which I feel fine with - no side effects at all. It’s been 29lbs done in three months - I can’t really believe it!

Stay hydrated!

pomegranatepie · 26/06/2026 08:55

I have definitely eaten more salt this week too, I have been hydrating pretty well though (I think) and having electrolytes too. Perhaps I will try going back up to 3.75 again this week, although it was difficult to get a feel for how well the dose drop worked, due to the extreme heat. I might re-weigh tomorrow to try and get a better idea of what to do. It's a balancing act between effectiveness and fatigue side effects. I'd like to shift a few more pounds before my birthday party if I can, which is two weeks away now!

Thesehills · 27/06/2026 07:47

Blimey so so so hot!

I've been drinking stacks of water this week, G&T every evening, not eaten as much, a lot of ice lollies though! I've noticed it's really nice to be smaller in this weather, it feels good.

Week twelve jab and eleventh weigh in today.

Week 1 - 7lbs
Week 2 - 2lbs
Week 3 - 2lbs
Week 4 - 2lbs
Week 5 - 1lb
Week 6 - 1lb
Week 7 - 2lb (first 3.75 dose this week)
Week 8 - 3lb
Week 9 - 2lb
Week 10 - 0lb (maintained weight)
Week 11 - 2lb (first 5 dose this week)

Starting weight: 15 stone 7lbs
Todays weight: 13 stone 11lbs

Nice to catch up, well done everyone. Keep going.

😊

22sra · 27/06/2026 07:51

Off on holiday today, pens in tow!
Down to 78.5kg today, so only 0.5kg off where I was before I had surgery in Sept. Happy with that.
9.3kg in two months. Only another 15kg or so to go!

NettleTea · 27/06/2026 09:46

have a lovely holiday!
Im not expecting much of a loss tomorrow, not that my eating has been off kilter, but this heat and the lymphodema seem to be making me feel really bloaty so I imagine Im hanging onto water like billy-o

Farsideofthemoon · 27/06/2026 10:11

Hi, thank you @NorthDevonBeachLover for the new thread. I’m not posting as often as I would like but I do read along and appreciate everyone sharing their progress and experiences.
I am slowly chugging along and heading in the right direction. As many of you have said, I too have been feeling bloated with this weather but the upside has been a very reduced appetite and increased water intake. Happy to see a 2lb loss this morning and hoping that when the temperature drops further I will have see a bit more.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend and keep going ! ⭐️💪🏻😊

ScreamingDelight · 27/06/2026 10:57

I have been on holiday so missed a week of weighing in. Home and have gained 1lb, ok with that. This is now week 13 for me. 15lbs off. Much slower than others but its more than i would have lost otherwise. I admittedly have slipped with my hydration and tracking nutrition, so that is a priority going forward. I am now on 7.5mg too. Still no side effects thankfully.

TFICoffeetime · 27/06/2026 17:30

Hi all
Not been on for while as I took a 2 week break. I had some important stuff at work and just wanted to have extra energy. It was weird having a full appetite back. So I weighed in this morning and I put 3lbs on in 2 weeks. But had 2 birthday celebrations in that time so I'm ok on that.
It means my total loss is 1 stone 3.
I had just got to 10 stone something and it's back up to 11stone. I started at 12s 3lbs.

Anyway I did half a dose on my 7.5 mg pen to help taper back up. I can't wait to start loosing. I really want to be back to 8.7 and it feels so far away. So I'm focusing on that 10 stone as next marker!

Hope everyone surviving in the heat xxxx

Did you find your energy levels came back when you took a break? I have a busy couple of weeks ahead and am anxious about how I am going to get everything done with how fatigued I have been feeling, so was contemplating doing the same...

TFICoffeetime · 27/06/2026 22:36

Hi @pomegranatepie I did, it lifted in a couple of days. If I'm honest I started to find the weight loss quite taxing. I'm a 1/3 of the way through & I have found the mental load of hoping to loose more & then not tough at points so I think a breather was good. Hopefully I can carry on a bit more energised. I do think people that have strong opinions anti the medication think it's something really easy to do & don't realise it takes a lot in commitment and it is a long term weight loss not a quick miracle fix. I'm glad I've had this thread as everyone has the ups and downs & it's healthy to see that side. As we all keep going (break or no break).
I can tell my energy has dropped again since I jabbed earlier. I do find the first few days of jab I feel more tired then I feel fine second half of the week. But definitely felt totally energised on the 2 week break which made me realise I had got used to the tired feeling.
Good luck break or no break. It'll all be worth it in the end. Xx

pomegranatepie · 28/06/2026 08:49

@TFICoffeetime That's good to hear, thank you, I might well do that in that case. I'm still on a low dose so I imagine it shouldn't set me back too much hopefully.

I do wonder about taking this long term with the fatigue side effects, I had thought I may microdose once I had got to my goal weight to maintain, but as one of the major reasons I want to lose weight is to have a bit more energy (as well as health and self confidence) I am now questioning this.

And yes, I totally agree, although I am finding this a useful tool for weight loss, and it's making it easier to avoid trigger foods and empty calories, it's still hard work, I am feeling slightly burnt out by having to constantly make sure I am eating nutritionally dense meals, that also fit in with the rest of the family. I also really want to up my exercise, but the draining fatigue is making that really difficult.

Hopefully I can find a balance between effectiveness and fatigue, maybe I need to stretch the doses for longer than 7 days. Or split doses maybe.

NettleTea · 28/06/2026 09:34

stabby stabby weigh in day today, and gladf I have lost 0.6kg, which given the heat and the state my lymphodema was in for most of the week, is a bloody miracle.

Just golden dosed the last of my second 2.5mg and eyed up that there was some still left so have popped the pen back into the fridge and might risk the use of an insulin needle next week along with some nifty calculations to get a full 2.5mg as Im staying on that dose for now and have a 5mg pen ready to go.

can someone tell me if when you count clicks, does the pen still only allow 4 doses to be dispensed, or is it when it gets to the 'top' of the 4 regular doses that it needs cracking? Im scared of the insulin needles but am sure it will be fine.

week 9
SW 94kg
target w 56kg
cw 84kg

and if anyone needs a bolt referral (although Im sure most people may have started/switched) I would be happy to share my code so I can avoid the kerfuffle of switching this month as life is about to get exceedingly hectic........

MyGardenDaisies · 28/06/2026 11:36

So true, just because Mounjaro is a helpful tool, doesn’t mean it’s making it easy evenly across the month and over time.

Im at 10w6 days and -11.1kg. Happy with the overall loss and average. It now puts me at -4 stone overall loss.

so far this week -0.6kg in 6 days. Still bloated and sleep
deprived, so hoping soon that will change and it’s a bit more. PMS too ugh

I am starting to accept that I’ll have to start aiming for under 2000kcal as the loss rate is dropping, as my body burns less calories with my new weight.
or need to be more consistent with 3 workouts a week and increase steps.

cant wait to be in maintenance in about 6 months 🫠

pomegranatepie · 28/06/2026 11:37

@NettleTea I have had more than four doses out of my pen, I think it locks up after the full amount of clicks are used, so if you are dosing 2.5 out of a 5 pen you should get eight doses before it locks. I have confused myself by having a mixture of 2.5 and 3.75 out of mine, so who knows when it will lock up!

EducatingEater · 28/06/2026 13:45

I put the end in my teeth and twist hard on the direction to force it to keep turning when it comes to the last bit. You then turn it back to the start and can count the clicks like normal afterwards as it moves like a normal dose would. Might not work for everyone though.

I weighed a day early because I'm not home tomorrow and also took a jab a day early. Another pound off which whilst I'm glad at, I am starting to feel a little disheartened that it's not more due to the cost. Fully aware that I'm entirely pissed off at the heatwave, haven't slept and have a fair bit going on irl that is making me shorter temper then usual so it's likely that.

Onwards and downwards! Hope everyone is doing well!
