Anyone starting Wegovy in June ?

I did my first jab on 27 May and am 3.5 pounds down … would love to chat if anyone else is starting around now

My injection day is also Wednesdays. Think I will do what you do then. Just record every Wednesday. First day today I've felt a bit shit and couldn't even think about exercising. I'm just listening to my body. Constipation has taken it out of me today. Had 3 bowel movements since last night, which is good but the gaps in between can be quite long. Sorry for TMI.

Oh lordy . Just to update my progress . Now I am experiencing vomiting as well . And today I was supposed to inject . But my poor stomach is in bits . Constipated too . This is not sustainable for me . I think I will have to give it a break at least. Yes I lost weight but at what cost ? Plus I am also feeling quite mentally flat which is apparently another side effect. Quite miserable.

Oh no@Nofeckingway please take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon. I definitely wouldn’t inject today with those symptoms.

You're doing this alone aren't you without medical consultation? Have you not completed a medical questionnaire about existing medication, allergies etc?

@LuckyHazelFox Yes and my pharmacist too. I just have a tendency to have a sensitive stomach. I did worry that it might not be suitable for me but you don't know until you try . I was doing well until 1mg .

Oh that's OK then. Go back to the 0.5 if you can manage it. I've had a bit of nausea and constipation and have toyed with the idea of staying on 0.5 but the weight loss seems to have plateaued a bit. Then again, I am a bit anxious about going up another dose.

@LuckyHazelFox Problem is that you don't know how you are going to react until you try it . A maintenance dose can be as much as 2.5 mg so it's just trial and error . Which is the way with any drug . The standard dose can't suit everyone, like my doctor explained. A person might be best at 7mg but tabs are only made in 5mg. or 10mg .

Yeah I don't think I'm going to risk it. I have lost over 8lbs in 7 weeks and I'm happy to keep up with that slow loss. I hope you feel better if you go back a dose but you certainly can't carry on like this x

Went to my own doctor yesterday for an unrelated check up . Mentioned my Wegovy journey . She was very supportive, also advised me to go down a dose , gave me a prescription as previously had to go online and said to see her in 3 months . So started back on .5mg last night . Hoping this will put me on the path to keep losing without the debilitating side effects.
Was able to get back to normal healthy eating which is good as I was worried about having no vitamin or minerals in my system.

Hey @Nofeckingway really glad you've seen your doctor and got a lower dose prescribed. But mostly that you can eat again! Sorry you've been so poorly and hope it's all smoother from here.

I'm into my 3rd shot of 1mg and doing fine. Honestly I don't think I'm losing that fast but I would stay on it just to not have food noise.

It’s my weigh in day today and I’ve had a small increase this week but my overall weight loss at 18 weeks is 17.5 lb! 💪 I’m still on track for two stone off by Christmas.

Well I am a bit uncomfortable today but really I think I just ate too much yesterday. Having the dreaded sulphur burps . Anybody found anything to take to settle it ? Or did anyone get their doctor to prescribe sickness or gastric stuff ?

That's horrible. I take bicarbonate of soda in water for that.

It's settled down now thanks to Gaviscon and Rennies .

@Nofeckingway I’ve taken Gaviscon. Bicarb in water wasn’t strong enough.

Fortunately it’s really settled and I’m barely experiencing it anymore.
