I went from 0.25 to 0.5 with no problems at all.

WoIsMe · 27/09/2026 22:20

You might be a hyper-responder @Emowoman90 which means you’ll get great results on the lower doses.

Nofeckingway · 27/09/2026 23:07

That is great that you lost so much on such a low dose .

How are you feeling - anymore side effects?

I'm going to stay on the lowest dose, I feel like I'll muck it all up if I go more, the slow and steady seems to have done great and I don't really have much loose skin which I've wanted to avoid

I'm over the moon I really thought I'd see little to none results

LuckyHazelFox · 28/09/2026 17:16

I'm starting 1 mg on Wednesday. Had a few rough days with nausea but in 9 weeks, I've had a lot more nonside effect days. I won't be going up another dose. I've lost weight quicker than I thought.

blibblibs · 30/09/2026 06:37

I'm about to start my third 0.5 today. I've lost a total of 21lb in 16 weeks which is great but if I'm honest I thought it would be quicker than that. But that's not really how the drug works and I don't really want to increase the dose unless I absolutely have to.
I still have 15lb to go to get just into my healthy BMI but I'm not sure I want to lose that much more but we'll see. I wanted all my clothes to fit comfortably again and I think they'll be too big if I lose that much!

Sanch1 · 30/09/2026 09:57

That's a great loss @blibblibs you dont want to lose it too quickly.

Today marks 2 stone loss for me, in 16 weeks. I am really pleased as I didnt think it would actually work for me. I was of the less to lose camp, starting with a BMI of 28. Although having lost 5 stone a good few times in my life I have been heavier!

I want to lose another 5lbs which will see me at my lowest weight since before I had my 3 girls, so about 15 years. Then I need to decide about maintenance. I cant have the food noise back, which is my main issue, so I think I may need to be on this long term. I have always tracked calories and exercised regularly, its the mental side of it that has always been my downfall. I may look to go back down to 2.5mg so its a bit cheaper.

I dont really want to be fiddling with clicks and buying extra needles etc, I'm a bit of a rule follower, so not sure that my options are other than to take a dose each week still, as long as they will prescribe it to me?

TerrorAustralis · 30/09/2026 15:12

Very happy to hear everyone’s good results.

I don’t have similar to report myself. 13 weeks in and I have lost less than 6kg (less than a stone in the old money). And I haven’t lost anything for the last two weeks.

I was hoping to slowly go up to 1mg, so have done 0.7 and 0.8 the last couple of weeks. But today I decided to go straight to 1mg. Just hope it works and that I don’t have to keep going up endlessly to keep getting mediocre results.

Astravanga · 02/10/2026 10:43

@TerrorAustralis ah that's disappointing for you, I know we all secretly hope to lose loads straight away.

I'm on a similar timeline although I am finding it healthier to not weigh very often - maybe twice a month? For the past month I have been hovering around the same kilo but different grams which is frustrating. But I'm trying to treat it just as information, rather than a judgment on myself.

In general I feel really well on this medication and wouldn't want to come off it ever really like @Sanch1 as the food noise vanishing has been a revelation. However yes the novelty has now worn off and the daily healthy choices still have to be made.

On my Nutracheck I have set a new goal of another 10kg/1.5st so we will see how long it takes to do that!

Happy weekend all x

TerrorAustralis · 02/10/2026 11:14

@Astravanga I was happy with slow and steady, having got over my ideas of rapid loss. But I’m not happy with no loss at all.

I had the 1.0mg two days ago and feeling OK so far.

LuckyHazelFox · 02/10/2026 15:03

Lost 11 lbs in 9 weeks. Now on 1.0 mg. Was aiming to get down to 10.5 stone but I'm going to stop at 11 stone because I can see myself going haggard. 8 lbs to go. will probably go back to 0.5 mg on next dose. Size 12s now fit like a glove. Keep going everyone. 😍

WoIsMe · 03/10/2026 07:58

@TerrorAustralis I understand that weight loss stalls are inevitable but they do feel frustrating at the time. I’ve stalled for the past couple of weeks but the scales are moving again now. Overall, I’ve lost 19 lb in 20 weeks which seems optimal if I want to minimise muscle loss, loose skin and “Ozempic face.”

That's brilliant and a sustainable loss. How much better you must feel for being 19 lbs down. 👏
Before Wegovy, I used to think a lb a week was nothing but being on it, you do see the difference in how your clothes fit with losing at that steady rate!

Nofeckingway · 03/10/2026 12:57

Took a break for a week as I was so ill and had to travel . But I noticed I didn't eat as much as usual . Click counting now to.5mg as 1mg was just too much and gave me horrible side effects . Time will tell if I lose significantly at this dose . I am short and even a pound makes a difference in my clothes . My friends say they notice it and I see it in my face too.
@TerrorAustralis You have been a great cheerleader so I hope this little setback doesn't get you down too much . 💐

LuckyHazelFox · 03/10/2026 14:08

I've been on 1mg since Wednesday and my appetite has been shot to pieces.im struggling to east past 700 calories a day which is why I know I can't do another month of it. I'm worried about losing too much and finding my strength for lifting weights waning. This is the catch 22 because before this dose I was doing strength training. Have realised I've actually lost 14.5 lbs in 9 weeks. More than I thought. Never thought I'd lose a stone in just over 2 months .

GearChange · 03/10/2026 14:35

I did my first Wegovy jag last night. I’ve got approximately 2 stone to lose, mostly from around my stomach and hips, but will see when to stop when I’m close to my target weight.
Fingers crossed I don’t get any major side effects.
After reading about how different providers support their customers I’m a bit disappointed in mine (New Health). It was the cheapest at the time I bought it but will shop around for my next prescription.

Do they have an app where you can get advice? I'm with Voy.

They don’t have an app but do have AI led WhatsApp chat!

I did research on the medication before I ordered but obviously not the provider. Once I’ve got my first month out the way and I know I can live with any side effects I get I’ll see if I want a provider with more support or if I’m okay more or less doing it myself.

I’ve read loads of threads on here and know how helpful everyone is.

Nofeckingway · 03/10/2026 15:26

@LuckyHazelFox I found 1mg too much to cope with . Back down to .5mg . Wish I could accurately dose at .75 mg . May try and figure it out .

You will have to track progress and side effects in a diary or journal or wherever during this first month. When you switch providers, you will normally do this through them before you receive each new dose. You've done your research tho and good idea to switch providers. I'm on week 9 and have gone up each month with a few side effects which have been manageable. Voy sent me medication in my starter pack to combat nausea and other stuff. Give it a day or two and you will start to feel less hungry and struggle to eat a whole plate of food. Good luck. Check in here with any questions x

Astravanga · 03/10/2026 16:33

Good luck at the start of your journey @GearChange hope it's a great change for you

TerrorAustralis · 03/10/2026 17:29

Thanks for all the support. I am not sure what’s going on, but I wonder if my body is somehow getting used to the medication that makes it less effective. The increase to 1.0 appears to be making a minimal difference.

When I had my first consultation, the person I spoke to said some people start on Wegovy and move to Mounjaro. I will keep that in mind if the stall continues.

Just be careful about potential worst side effects if you switch to Mounjaro. I understand why you would consider the switch though.
