Hi @LoSlo3toGo 👋
I am going to stay tonight as have tomorrow off. Are you ordering the next dose up next time or staying a bit longer on low dose? Sounds like it suiting you ( lucky thing!)

LoSlo3toGo · 07/06/2026 13:52

Hi @GoldenGumballs: great idea

I read on here to take the injection out about 30 mins before to let it get to room temperature before jabbing as it won’t sting that way. TBH it’s a tiny needle & painless

I’m planning to stay at this dose for a while as it seems to be very effective indeed: I’m still eating 3 meals a day and enjoying my food, but frankly a child size portion and I’m done. Went out for dinner last night and was stuffed after my starter

DH & I just went out for a coffee and I wasn’t remotely interested in the cakes as still full from last night

I think one of the ways this is working for me is keeping the food in my stomach longer - I used to be empty again within the hour after eating so no wonder I was always hungry. Also seems to level out my blood sugar a lot which I like

I have just been accepted and am waiting on my prescription to be ready for collection, I'm hoping it's ready by Wednesday so I can start then as I have fri- sun off most weeks and they are my hardest days.
Looking forward to joining you all, I had surgical menopause 18 months ago and I just haven't been able to get a handle on my weight since so I'm hoping this is the boost I need.

somethingischasingme · 07/06/2026 17:24

Mines due to be delivered today…

somethingischasingme · 07/06/2026 17:35

It’s arrived!

Astravanga · 07/06/2026 18:49

Hi all, looking forward to joining you on this journey as I have FINALLY taken the plunge and been prescribed Wegovy.

I'm mid 30s and have always had a tendency to put on weight. It's been creeping up and up but since having kids I've had a real wake-up call about my health.

Hoping that my order arrives tomorrow! Pretty nervous but excited!

Orangesandlemons77 · 07/06/2026 20:30

I'm just starting, I see it doesn't come with ice packs, does anyone know can it be used up to the expiry date in the fridge? thanks

LoSlo3toGo · 07/06/2026 20:55

Hi @Orangesandlemons77: was that med express who sent it without ice packs?

I think the long term
storage is meant to be in the fridge, but as the dispatch process was probably only a day, and it’s not especially hot don’t worry I say. Put it in the fridge now & then decide…

You can keep it either in the fridge or room temperature once it’s opened

Hi @blibblibs, @somethingischasingmeand @Astravanga:)

Little update ; did my second dose of 0.25mg on Wednesday night, effects in full force today - in a good way

No side effects, & eating very small portions, if you’d told me no food today I think I would not have been bothered- which is totally unlike me

Im trying to keep to 3 meals though , & my plan is to continue on as low a dose as possible for as long as possible, which I think is now the recondition.

Ive been reading this book which suggests using the break from food noise to examine eating habits & your long term relationship with food - I’m only at the start but I like his idea of ‘starting with your exit strategy in mind’

@Orangesandlemons77 I ordered through Bolt and they said it will be delivered without an ice pack -

"All Wegovy deliveries will now arrive without ice packs. MHRA approved product guidance from the manufacturer now allows controlled shipment below 30°C.

Your medication has been sent using this updated pathway with appropriate controls in place. Please continue to follow normal storage instructions after receipt."

Which I understand is why they can't 'leave in a safe place' but have to deliver into your hand. And then it's only once the pen is opened that it has to be in the fridge? Not clear on that bit yet.

I’m planning to start today! I tried mounjaro a couple of years ago and lost 2 stone quite easily but then stalled and had horrible side effects. This time I’m planning on eating much cleaner. I put the 2 stone and more on. I have a lot to go (nearly 7 stone) but I’m trying to just think in stages.

I’m going on holiday at the beginning of August to somewhere I’ve always wanted to go and want to be in a position where I will have some pics taken, maybe a stone?

I’m not a big breakfast person but I’ve bought some HUEL and plan to have a protein shake blended with frozen berries and spinach in the morning.

@Astravanga: thanks for the update re Bolt

i am planning to use them for my second month so good to know as I will plan to be on to receive the parcel

I got the same message from MedExpress (that no ice pack was needed) but when mine was delivered in the heatwave it did have ice packs

Given the product lasts 2 years unopened I guess a few hours at room temperature is probably ok - especially as you can store it at room temperature once it is opened

Anecdotally a friend didn’t realise hers was being delivered and left it on the doorstep all day and it was fine/she got results that month, but I’d still keep it in the fridge

Mine arrived this morning and I've done my first jab!

And I don't think I have to store it in the fridge either! Can anyone confirm or have I misunderstood the leaflet?

I did my first jab last night. Ate breakfast as normal but felt so sick after and now have a raging headache.

LoSlo3toGo · 08/06/2026 13:47

@Astravanga- it doesn’t need to be stored in the fridge once it’s opened, but a lot of people do anyway

Mine arrived this morning, I'm having a bite to eat first as I've just came back from work then I'm going to do my first dose. I'm a little nervous but I've been reassured by plenty of people and plenty of YouTube tutorials it'll be fine 😅.

LoSlo3toGo · 08/06/2026 13:49

@frieda- sorry to hear. are you hydrated enough? I bought some electrolyte tablets (from Amazon) in case this was an issue but I haven’t had a problem yet

For hydration, I sometimes mix up 90% water and 10% any juice with pinch of salt and sip away

(This helps me if I’m dehydrated after a night on the town). I’ve been trying to drink a lot more water as I understand it’s needed in these meds - 2-3L a day

I haven’t taken mine yet. Ordered through Voy, came with ice packs. I’m scared I’m going to feel awful and I’ve got such a busy week! I might do it tonight. I’ll keep you posted. I got a discount code from someone on mn so if anyone wants one from me I can link it. 😊

Hi @Emowoman90:) Wishing you the best on this journey:)

Thank you 😊, I've just taken it and I expected it to hurt but honestly it was easy. I'm on planning my new diet and sticking up on water.

Orangesandlemons77 · 08/06/2026 15:06

Thanks for the replies about the ice packs, I also ordered from Voy and it came with the ice packs after all. Not sure if that is due to the recent heatwave perhaps as their website seemed to suggest they wouldn't be sending them.

Orangesandlemons77 · 08/06/2026 15:07

Voy also sent loperamide and cyclone for any side effects I noticed, think this must be a new thing

somethingischasingme · 08/06/2026 18:34

Yes I had the rescue pack too. I’ve just read all the info on the app. I’ve still not done it. 😬

CultureAlienationBoredomandDespair · 08/06/2026 23:19

I’ve just don’t my first jab. Had an omelette and salad for dinner and have a protein shake ready for the morning 🤞
