@LuckyHazelFox 19 lb down is absolutely brilliant. My clothes fit better and I’m happier at what I see when I look in the mirror. I’m running faster at parkrun and any physical activity is just easier now. I’m looking forward to being able to fit into the next size down in clothes but I think that’s a little way off yet.

@Nofeckingway the medication stays in your system for weeks so you should still get some suppression if you miss a dose. I’m sorry you’re still struggling with side effects.

@GearChange it’s worth asking on here when you’re looking for your next prescription. My provider, MedExpress, gives out £60 off vouchers if you get a referral from someone already buying from them.

@TerrorAustralis it’s too early for the medication to stop working, that usually happens at six months to a year. Could it just be a temporary stall? Are you tracking your food intake to make sure you’re eating in a calorie deficit?

Astravanga · 05/10/2026 14:19

Yes just to add that I am with Bolt (great service so far, no issues) and have a referral code to give £60 off anyone's first order.

So after a horrible night when I was sick , I really can no longer do this . Anyone on here might know that I have struggled with bad side effects . Even when I adjusted doses I was either very sick or suffered bad diarrhea. Guess I am one of the people who is not suitable for Wegovy. It did give me a kickstart but the fact that I am housebound for days and exhausted at night means I need to stop .
Thanks for all the support and advice on here 💐

I’m so sorry it’s been so awful for you. It definitely sounds like you’re having a completely unacceptable level of side effects. What are your next steps?

Nofeckingway · 06/10/2026 14:34

@WoIsMe It did give a good start , lost a stone . And think it changed the sugar cravings . Guess I will now go the time honoured route of eating less and move more !

A stone is definitely a good start. Now you have to work out how to capitalise on that and keep losing. Have you considered intermittent fasting? Dr Mindy Pelz is a good follow if you’re interested. I’m not a fan of eat less, move more as it completely ignores the effect of hormones. It works for some people but not everyone. My brother wears a smart watch and matches his food intake to his calorie usage the day before. I don’t think I could do that. When I’m hungry, I want to eat!

TerrorAustralis · 06/10/2026 14:42

@Nofeckingway I’m really sorry this has been your experience. Take care of yourself - hope you can continue to lose the weight you need to.

@WoIsMe I don’t know if it’s wearing off, but I definitely feel like the effects are tapering off, despite my doses going up. I feel more hungry and less full. I’ve even been feeling hungry after meals. I’ll eat and feel like I’ve had enough, then half an hour later feel hungry again.

I haven’t been strictly calorie counting. But my portion sizes are consistently smaller, and I’m being consistent about making better food choices.

Astravanga · 06/10/2026 14:45

@Nofeckingway really sorry to hear about your side effects and good on you for deciding it's not for you! Hope you are able to consider other weight loss methods once you feel 100% again, perhaps look into other glp-1s if you haven't already x

I’ve finally seen some movement on the scales - down 0.7kg (1.5 lbs) on where I was three weeks ago. No change in waist measurement.

I’m happy things are moving in the right direction again and hope it continues!

So pleased for you. I'm seeing little movement on the measuring tape but did to start with. Clothes fitting shows differently though. I'm getting rid of a fair few that no longer do anything for me because they are hanging off me.

WoIsMe · 07/10/2026 14:32

Great news @TerrorAustralis

My clothes are fitting much better but I’m a bit disappointed I haven’t dropped a clothing size yet (apart from in bras.) I took advantage of the Amazon sale to order a smaller size of running shorts for parkrun as my current ones are getting looser. I’m hoping they’ll fit when they arrive which will be a big confidence boost.

TerrorAustralis · 07/10/2026 14:54

My clothes are getting looser, but not down a size in anything yet. I’d love to be down a bra size or two!

WoIsMe · 10/10/2026 11:02

It’s been quiet on here, how is everyone doing? I’m going out for dinner tonight but tomorrow is my weigh in day, so hopefully that will motivate me to dodge the alcohol and dessert.

LuckyHazelFox · 10/10/2026 11:24

Also out to dinner later. This is how it always goes: will have a couple of proseccos while partner has his starter. Will order a meal but only manage a quarter of it. Have a little glass of red wine with it. Partner will have a dessert. Will have coffees. Although my appetite has shrunk, I still like to get dressed up and have some nice food. Part of it is about wearing new clothes that I couldn't have worn before.

Astravanga · 10/10/2026 11:36

Life events have been getting in the way of healthy choices a bit so I am avoiding the scales till things settle down! I am definitely still eating less than in the past but quite a lot of eating out and snacks due to unexpected travel etc.

Had an experience with some instant noodles which I haven't eaten for about a year. Before I always craved them but never felt full and would eat two or three packets and then feel all sluggish. This time I had one packet and enjoyed them, but then fancied something more substantial and made some tuna. Job done. Still weird to me not to be ruled by cravings.

However I do need to rein in the UPF a bit and make sure I'm getting my fruit and veggies.

Hope everyone has a good weekend x

I've been eating a lot more tuna. Love tuna with wholemeal spaghetti, roasted courgettes and mushrooms and fresh tomatoes. I add a bit of cottage or feta cheese as well. Enjoy your weekend too 😊

Weigh in day today and I’m 20.5 lb down in 21 weeks, currently on my fourth 0.5 mg pen. I’m so pleased with the results so far. And It’s such a big confidence boost to have my clothes fitting better. I’ve had a few blips of weight gain or no loss over that time so it’s reassuring to see the graph actually shows a pretty consistent rate of loss.

I have another 7.5 lb to lose to reach two stone off which is where I want to be by Christmas. I think that will really help me to commit to eating well over the Christmas period. Please remind me to stay away from the Baileys lol!

Astravanga · 11/10/2026 09:31

Thanks @LuckyHazelFox yes tuna is versatile! I'll just eat it straight out of the can sometimes 😂

@WoIsMe absolutely brilliant progress over time and what a confidence boost, as well as improved health! I'm sure you'll smash your Christmas goal x

LuckyHazelFox · 11/10/2026 10:38

Well done @WoIsMe and that's on the lower dose. It just shows you can lose it slowly and steadily without putting yourself through the side effects of the higher dose. 🏆 🥇

WoIsMe · 11/10/2026 13:38

Thanks @LuckyHazelFox I don’t even think that it’s particularly slow. In five months on Wegovy, I’ve lost four years of weight gain. That seems incredible to me.

TeddySpaghetti · 14/10/2026 11:36

Hello! I stayed at 0.25 - I found the nausea overwhelming at times but it's settled down now. I've lost just over a stone. Slowed down a bit recently because of holidays but week on week it's still a half pound or pound loss and I'm happy with that.

I work out three times a week and coastal row (which I did before) but now I'm seeing a real difference.

LuckyHazelFox · 14/10/2026 12:05

I've got to the plateau stage with the scales and also feels like it with the tape measure but I'm still seeing a difference in how my clothes fit. I've ordered a second round of 1 mg rather than going back to 0.5. I'm not going to increase any further now.

Astravanga · 14/10/2026 12:59

I think I'm going to stay on 1mg for the foreseeable as well, mainly because of price but I do also get nausea on jab day and don't want to increase that.

Now that it's been a few months, I'm finding that I have to dig deeper and work on the reasons why I have been overeating for so long. I am still able to overeat if I am really stressed or low, and there has been a fair bit of that this year unfortunately.

So where before I would FEEL massively hungry and eat one thing after another, I find that I now don't feel that "craving" hunger, but I will still go hunting in the fridge and cupboards if I am stressed or depressed enough. I have had to catch myself red handed several times.

The eating of it is much less pleasurable and rewarding, but I have discovered that I absolutely can still wolf stuff down as a coping mechanism 😬

I think awareness is the biggest factor and I am trying to be thoughtful and kind to myself as I figure it all out.

Off to do my jab now actually!

Hello my fellow June starters 👋🏼

Apologies for several weeks of silence - incredibly hectic time at work

Well, 21 weeks in and 16 pounds down, no one could accuse me of rushing it, but I’m starting to really feel the difference of weight loss

My bmi is still over 30, but I’m a lot less lumpy & bumpy, feel more mobile, and clothes are fitting a lot better

After several weeks on 0.7 in September I went up to 1mg a couple of weeks ago and this seems to be effective in getting the scales moving after several weeks of stalling

I half wonder if I should have gone up faster but this gradual approach has definitely helped me manage side effects so hoping to stay on 1mg a while & hope I continue to lose . I have about another 2 stone to lose so it’s going to be a long haul…
