Happy birthday to me - hit my 6st loss today - what a celebration I'm going to have later with my dear friends in my size 12 outfit 🥳🥳🥳

Just run 6 k as well - today is a fantastic day.

SW 15 3.8, 39.1 bmi - I know, I know 😬
CW 9 3.6, 23.7 bmi

3.6lb to goal.

Happy days everyone

Hello ladies, maintenance is hard, still losing in maintenance and now 54..6kg. I’ve upped my calories but I’ve also upped my weight lifting sessions from 3 times a week to between 4 and 5, so could be that increasing my metabolism. Now I really do understand when they say maintenance is harder than losing.

Happy birthday, @Yellowsubmarine55 Mine was two days ago and I’m eating for England this week 😂. The thing is I know it’s ok because I’ll reset next week - I don’t panic so much now because I’ve seen the scales go up and down loads in maintenance but ultimately I’ve held steady. The continued losing is almost definitely due to muscle gain - think about how many calories weight lifters consume because of all the muscle.

Have you upped your protein and a bit of carbs if you doing more lifting? That potentially could help to shift to maintain and reduce the loss

came back from a 5 day holiday (self catering) and cannot believe it first time ever since starting MJ I maintained that too with TOTM starting yesterday !

starting 12.5 on Sunday and if it does not shift I have a question , has anyone done 12.5 or 15mg shorter cycles eg 5 or 6 day? Did it on 2.5 second round but thinking to do it if it dosnt do anything , also thinking to split dose if 15mg dosnt eventually work eg 10mg then 2.5/5 mg 5 days apart lets see but really want the last 2st to shift (and not take a year as maximum staying on MJ until March 27 including maintenance to follow guidance)

NSV today I can hold my wrist on right arm (index finger and thumb) for the first time since I was 12 so even if weight is not shifting inches are!

happy birthday week to those celebrating

popdepop · 05/06/2026 22:08

Hi all, it’s been a while but thought I’d pop on as I am finally in the healthy range (just) for BMI - 24.7.
SW 16 stone 11
CW 10 stone 13
id like to get to 10, 5. I’m still on 15mg and scared about coming off, but it’s just too expensive to stay on forever. Has anyone switched to maintain or any experiences of coming off with appetite?

Yeah, I’ve upped protein, fibre, calories the lot. So next week I’ll be taking 2.5mg instead of 5mg to see how it goes. I’ve always worked out and don’t want to reduce my workouts.

re dose splitting, I used to split the 15mg dose . I used to take 7.5mg on a Friday and again on a Monday.

GameOfJones · 06/06/2026 15:47

@popdepop my goal weight was very similar, 10st 7lbs and I'm currently 10st 4lbs. I've been maintaining for the last 9 months and haven't jabbed since September. Doing 16:8 intermittent fasting seems to be the trick for me where I can maintain pretty easily (in reality because I'm no longer snacking.)

It is definitely doable, it has taken perseverance at times but there seem to be a fair few of us in maintenance now.

Fairfaxandflavor · 06/06/2026 21:43

Aaaaahhhhhhh fuuuuuck, I am venting here because I know I can. I know you lot don't judge, irl I'm getting flack,so I've just ordered again received it , I do not need it for weight loss AT ALL but can't seem to let it go,I'm calmer and pain free on it so I love it for that and keep ordering, but I'm painfully thin now so I'm in a rock and a hard place. Thanks all for listening and not judging.

hi, no judgement here, can you reduce your dose? How thin have you got? What’s your bmi?
I’ve carried on losing too and my bmi is now 21.7 and I’ve been trying to maintain since bmi 23. I plan to stay on it for life and just up my calories.

Fairfaxandflavor · 06/06/2026 21:59

@northernlight20 Hi,I'm really sensitive to it,so even cutting it to 1mg means I lose, on it my head is calm and my aches and pains are non existent, off it the pain comes back as does the brain noise.
My BMI is really low now, like 16.9, I want the lovely calming and pain relieving benefits of mj but not the weight loss, never ever would I have thought I would be in this position.

TheBossOfMe · 06/06/2026 22:10

Oh @Fairfaxandflavor - that is extremely thin and you are risking your health hugely. I’m somebody who totally understands the other benefits of MJ beyond weight loss and am staying on it for that reason but I’m being really careful to maintain my dose at a level that doesn’t suppress my appetite. I really hate to say it but I don’t think it’s doing you any good to stay on it if you can’t find a dose that allows you to maintain weight at a healthy level. 16.9 BMI is really underweight.

TheBossOfMe · 06/06/2026 22:15

Sorry @Fairfaxandflavor brain dumping. What about coming off it for a bit and accepting the brain noise and inflammation for a bit to allow you to get back to a normal weight. And then look at a calorie dense diet to maintain on a very low micro dose of 0.25mg (which seems to work for a lot of people for anti-inflammatory benefit). I know why you want to stay on it - but the reality is it’s possible to have disordered eating at the opposite end of the scale to where we all started, and we all need to be mindful of that.

Many hugs though because I get it.

Fairfaxandflavor · 06/06/2026 22:24

@TheBossOfMe thank you, I know, I look in the mirror and see it, I got to my goal weight quite quickly, and thought well ok I'll come off now,not realising mounjaro had affected me in a whole load of other ways. I do try and maintain off it and the weight management is no problem it's the other benefits that I seek out mounjaro for,I'm just so calm on it,and my joints are pain free, but I can't take it even at a really low dose without losing weight.
I do think I've got into an unhealthy mindset but it's stuck now, I've gone from being really fat to really thin, jeez, I just wish I could micro dose get the benefits and not lose ,but my brain has changed.

Fairfaxandflavor · 06/06/2026 22:30

@TheBossOfMe thank you this thread has always been great, some truly lovely people, never an ounce of nastiness, thanks for your support and non judgement

TheBossOfMe · 06/06/2026 22:39

@Fairfaxandflavor - have you spoken to your GP about the anti-inflammatory impact? I wonder if they might have a suggestion for a non GLP1 anti-inflammatory drug that won’t suppress your appetite but confer many of the other benefits.

I think it’s good at least that you’re recognising that you’re not in a healthy place. Denial is almost the most dangerous place to be. If you recognise the problem that’s a huge step.

This place has always been so supportive - and I think will continue to be no matter where we are in the journey.

Fairfaxandflavor · 06/06/2026 22:49

@TheBossOfMe ,no I came to wli prescribed privately in the first place because I don't trust my GP, I know I'm not in a great place re my weight, but my head is quiet and my joints are pain free,so we'll go from here, thanks so much for your response.

Fairfaxandflavor · 06/06/2026 23:06

Here it looks it goes up and down ,but on mj mostly down

I love this group of posters @Fairfaxandflavor- so supportive. I hope you don’t mind but I did a bit of Googling about the impact of Mounjaro on Audhd brain noise, for want of a better word. A lot of people are talking about the same benefits that you’re feeling. It’s definitely a thing. I am not in any way qualified to give off label advice - but it seems a lot of people get that positive impact on a very, very low dose, as little as 0.25mg every 3-4 days. Would that maybe worth a try and see if that helps without making you lose even more weight? And possibly try incorporating a lot of calorie dense foods into your diet (peanut butter in smoothies with whole milk, Greek yoghurt, oats for example?)

Who knew we’d be talking about weight gain strategies :)

Fairfaxandflavor · 07/06/2026 18:08

@TheBossOfMe yes I think it might be worth trying that, I just want mj for the amazing effects it has on my pain and head noise, thanks again for your kindness.

mumofmanydaughterofone · 07/06/2026 18:14

Hi all - I've had an absolute mare - been titrating down since xmas and stopped at about the end of March at 10st 5 - now back up to 10st 13 and really struggling with the constant noise and eating everything.
Had a super stressful time with job, bereavement, family ill health, kids exams (uni and A level) so I've caved and reordered. My rationalisation is the massive work stress got me a promotion so I can afford it again haha
So starting at 10st 13 and aiming to lose another stone to give me a decent buffer

dont want to read and run and just want to say that I appreciate your honesty and openness , it can’t be easy.

I agree with @TheBossOfMe try perhaps micro dosing very very tiny amount so that it supports the issues but dosnt suppress hunger or food noise . Also if you don’t trust your gp perhaps going private could be an option to review alternatives and medical support

Fatmumslim01 · 08/06/2026 11:09

@Fairfaxandflavor hope you are ok. How are you still being prescribed MJ with such a low BMI if you don't mind me asking? I have to provide weight verification to my supplier each month.

I totally understand about wanting to carry on MJ, although I've still got at least a stone to go to be a healthy BMI, I already know Im going to be a lifer as the effects on my head are amazing and I love how my brain feels on MJ!
