Let’s carry on supporting each other.

Thanks for the new thread @TheSpoonyNavyReader .

Hope you are ok re your marriage.

Half term here so lots of eating out, treats etc, will see what the scales bring on Wednesday (weigh day Wednesday!)

I'm on 12.5 but taking it from a 15mg so it lasts 6 weeks and saves a bit of money. I've stuck with the same provider for a few months now and they seem ok with me ordering every 5/6 weeks. I used to switch each month but since the price hikes and me being on higher doses now it's not really worth the hassle.

Ive has lots of "you look well" comments from people who haven't seen me for a while, or have only seen me in coats over winter etc and are now seeing me without a coat 😂 I follow it up with thanks I've lost 4 stone in mounjaro 🙂 I tell everyone I don't mind people knowing, the more it's normalised the less the stigma. I'm probably a bit evangelical about it tbh 😂

Ideally I'd like to lose another 2 stone which would take me down to 8stone7. My original goal was 9 stone 7 but now that's quite close im thinking I want more off. Still got an apron belly but after 4dc and multiple C-sections I think the belly is here to stay 😂

Height 5 foot
SW 14-7
CW 10-6
GW was thinking 9-7, now possibly 8-7.

Thank you for your kind words, RE my marriage he is willing to work at it but I am unsure what it brings to my table at the moment I sometimes think some things run their course. I do not hate him, I just feel indifferent, I think he got used to me not going out, feeling like I hate myself (I did) although I was very good at covering it up. I am sure perimenopause is playing a part in this and I am getting used to the new me, I think my emotions need to catch up with my new body.

Thanks for the new thread @TheSpoonyNavyReader . Saw your update on the old thread - well done on getting to goal and beyond! And on taking control of your life even if that must seem hard right now. Hope you're ok.

I haven't updated in a while - I'm slowly inching towards my (recently decided) final goal which I settled on being 11st4, making it a round 6st off.

Started March 24th. So, 48 weeks as of tomorrow. I've been on 10mg for quite a few months but I've decided it's time to start reducing my dose so my next pen, starting tomorrow, is 7.5. Recent suppression on 10 in the first 2-3 days after jabbing has actually been higher than previously so it feels like a good moment to begin titrating down.

5ft 8, early 50s.

SW 17st 4
CW 11st 6.75
GW 11st 4

I've lost just over 80lbs which amazes me. I'm now a very comfortable 14 with a healthy BMI. Focus from now is going to be on building strength/muscle. My neighbour is a PT who specialises in weight training in menopause so I'm going to work with her on a routine. I've been using home weights since I started but as I move towards maintenance I want to ramp it up and get serious.

TheBossOfMe · 22/02/2026 12:08

@TheSpoonyNavyReader - I hope things get better for you. I know from personal experience that leaving a marriage is very hard, but it was a good decision for me, I'm much happier since I left a few years ago.

I'm now dosing 2.5mg a week to keep inflammation at bay - which seems to be working without suppressing my appetite so much that I can't eat properly. Still holding at goal without a huge amount of effort. I've been signed off after a medical procedure to start weight training and running again which is good.

It's DD's 18th birthday today - so been a week of celebrations over half term. It's amazing to me how easy it's been to not overindulge too much.

PoundsLost · 22/02/2026 14:19

Checking in - sorry about your marriage Spoony - weight loss changes so much how we feel about ourselves.

I’m nearly 4 and a half stone down at this point. Healthy BMI. I think my goal is another 10 pounds off. My head has not caught up with my shape at all so I try on old and much loved clothes from years back and can’t quite get my head around it. Short dresses look nice. I asked DH if my knees were still a bit fat for an above the knee dress and he says not but I can’t shake the old way of thinking. I have only worn maxi dresses for about 10 years now.

I look older but better I think!

Yellowsubmarine55 · 22/02/2026 18:13

Checking in - thinking of you @TheSpoonyNavyReader , such a huge decision but no doubt a relief if it's draining you emotionally.

I had a fleeting glance at a 24.9 BMI this week, it's 25.1 now as I fluctuating so much during the week. But the end is in sight. Whoop whoop

My new goal is 9st which will be an ambitious 6st 3 loss. Currently 5st 6 so 9 or 10 lbs to go. I need a buffer as maintenance will be the new challenge.

Planning on staying on 2.5 for a couple of months to see if I can eat more and stay the same weight then gradually decrease. I don't think I'll be a lifer as I'm a bit blah about it all now

But I'm feeling great, loving the clothes and more importantly so much fitter and can now jog 5k which in contrast to last year where I'd die walking that 🤣. I'm off BP medicine as well.

Stats:

Sw - 15st 3.8
Cw - 9st 10.4
Gw - 9st 🎉🎉🎉

As I'm only 5'2 I think that's about 23 BMI so in the middle!

Thanks for new thread @TheSpoonyNavyReader and wishing you well with whatever comes next. Great that you’re taking stock and letting him know what you need. You have been a support and inspiration to us here, glad you’re doing it for yourself.

I’m bumping along at 4 stone loss which feels amazing. Less cardio due to minor op the past 2 months so hope picking this up again will help shed those last few lbs.
On 2.5mg every 6 days. Been weirdly feeling more suppression last 2 weeks. No idea why.

Been good hearing where everyone is at.

lastapache · 23/02/2026 10:03

Hi everyone

I haven't updated in a while. I am both happy and sad for you @TheSpoonyNavyReader - sad that you're marriage may be at an end and that's always a difficult transition, but happy that you've gained the confident and insight to see what is not working for you and the courage to try and change that, no matter what that outcome might be.

I have been maintaining for a while now, after a 4.5 stone loss (I'm 5'7"). I had titrated down from 11.5mg to 7.5mg and had maintained at that level since October. I had tried pushing out the doses to every ten days but I found my appetite increasing over Christmas and I put on a few pounds, so I went back to once a week and the few pounds came off.

I had planned for a long time to get a tummy tuck, mostly because I had severe diastasis recti from three pregnancies and really needed the muscles repaired. So I came off MJ for two weeks before my surgery on 5 February, and took my first dose back five days after the surgery. I took an initial dose of 5mg, as I was worried I would get a return of side effects if I took the full dose of 7.5mg. After four days of feeling fine, I took a top up of 2mg. I had planned to take 6mg as my next dose and then top up to 1/1.5mg a few days later again. Well I took the 6mg last Wednesday and I ended up having a few side effects on Friday evening/night. I also have quite a bit of appetite suppression, which I haven't had in a while. So no top up yesterday and I think I'll stick to 6mg on Wednesday.

Recovery has been tough but along the lines of what the surgeon told me to expect. I can't do any exercise until six weeks has passed, and even then it can only be light exercise. After 12 weeks I can go back to the gym. I expect I've lost a lot of the muscle I had tried to keep over my weight loss journey, and it's going to be a bit of an uphill journey to get it back. But overall I'm glad I got it done - I love how I look now (not constantly five months pregnant) and I'm willing to put in the work.

GameOfJones · 23/02/2026 11:50

Gosh @lastapache, glad the surgery went well and it sounds like you're firmly on your way to recovery!

lilymty · 23/02/2026 14:39

Yesterday I hit 114lbs gone. I still have a way to go. Im hoping to lose another 36 which will keep me in the overweight category but im getting abit fed up of it all now. Im now getting quite abit of lose skin which isnt the nicest but will take it over the health problems I had this time last year.

Gonefishingithink · 23/02/2026 14:43

Okay son I’m trying to psyche myself up to do the first injection. I e read the leader and watched a you tube explanation. It just looks so incredibly daunting and complicated! Has anyone else struggled with it?

You're on a thread of people who started nearly a year ago in March 2025. You might want to find the Feb 2026 starters thread?

To answer your question - no, personally I found the injection process very easy and unscary because the needle is so tiny and the pen is easy to manipulate. You just need to take the plunge. As long as you follow the instructions and prime to make sure the needle is good, there's not much to go wrong. I found belly the easiest location to job in and have stuck with that all year.

northernlight20 · 25/02/2026 07:46

Thanks for the new thread. @TheSpoonyNavyReader hand hold.
posting for accountability. Have now lost 8stones!!!
sw 114.4kg
cw 63.3kg
gw 60kg that will take me to the top end of a healthy bmi as I’m only short.

Fairfaxandflavor · 25/02/2026 20:43

@TheSpoonyNavyReader thanks for the new thread, good on you reappraising your life.
I can't believe we're a year on, and I'm kind of missing the process, I loved losing weight on mj I can't lie, the hit every week from seeing the scales go down, I haven't come off yet, although I've been dithering for months,
I look like a completely different person now and I love it!
Well done everyone for getting this far.

Ingangoolie · 26/02/2026 12:59

@northernlight20 wow, that’s impressive.

@Fairfaxandflavor IKR it’s a different ball game when we’re in to tiny fluctuations and looking at maintenance. I’m now thinking 4st stone loss is good enough, BMI 23, that’s great, and omg wouldn’t it be amazing if my body adopted this as a new set weight.

Puddingpiper · 26/02/2026 16:08

Jumping on to check in - no jab for two weeks, suppression is gone but still in target weight I’ve put a couple of lbs on. Need to keep a closer eye on calories to see what I am eating - tub of Ben and jerrys went down a bit too easily

mumofmanydaughterofone · 27/02/2026 11:58

I think I'm pretty much at goal - 4 stone loss and in healthy BMI - when I started I was trying to get to 12st 6; then I moved that to 11st 13 (which was the weight I was when i got married 30 years ago 😂) then 10st 10 and then 10 and a half stone - I seem to be stuck now at 10st 5 to 10st 7 so as tempting as it is to try to be 9 stone something (which TBH I havent seen since i was a teenager) I'm probably OK here.
Going to go down the doses and try to keep to good habits as the food noise returns.... Good luck everyone!

soupforbrains · 27/02/2026 13:58

Just checking in to mark the new thread. Will weigh in tomorrow when I’m home but pretty sure this last couple of weeks travelling with work have been a disaster so we’ll see what damage has been done. 🤷‍♀️

Can I ask how long it took?

I lost about half a stone on my own from December 24 to early March 25 then started on the injections and in the last year lost another 3.5 stone - though this year has been slow as I'm so close to goal so most of it was in the 9months from March 25 to Xmas.

Buscake · 27/02/2026 16:06

I’ve got one jab left at 2.5 and think I will brave not renewing it… I have found the first two weeks of every month of tapering hard going with increased appetite etc but I seem to get this under control after a week or two. I’ve maintained at 63kg for the last 3 months now (tapering down by 2.5 each month). I know it won’t be easy but for me it’s worth a try for the financial incentive alone. Will let you know how I get on!

SW 96kg
GW 65kg
CW 63kg

Fatmumslim01 · 27/02/2026 17:39

I'm starting to wonder if I should call maintenance sooner rather than later. BMI is still 28 and there's still plenty of fat to lose but it's really slowing down now. I looked back in my diary and since Christmas I've lost 8 pounds which seems very slow. I don't want to come off mj but would like to go down the doses but I'm aware if I go down I won't lose any weight so I will definitely be in maintenance then. I also feel it's not working as well as it used to, food noise is returning, little bits like biscuits and chocolate are creeping in etc
