Thank you @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne for the new thread! We are a chatty bunch. 😍

@MrTiddlesTheCat so disappointed to see they have indeed 'fixed' the pen so no more extra dose. Hope it doesn't make its way over here anytime soon!

Feeling hungry isn't necessarily a sign to go up. Uncontrollable hunger would be. It's very individual, it's the 'food noise' that made me go up. I still get hungry 3 times a day. I don't mind this. But I don't want uncontrollable hunger. Thankfully kept at bay mostly.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 16/02/2026 20:49

I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention and didn't put a link in the old thread.
I hope you all find this one

Thank you for tagging me. I don't post often but always get so motivated reading the thread. Started in april at 20.7 stone. Now currently weighing 14.3 stone. Aiming for these 13's!

I agree, I'm happy to feel some hunger at mealtimes as it helps me keep that link between hunger and eating that is going to help with maintenance. What would make me go up a dose is if that hunger came between meals or led to me overeating/not controlling my calories.

Cat4324 · 16/02/2026 21:17

Thank you ❤️ the need for a thread 12 came around quick! I'm still plodding on, slower than I had hoped although still 13kg down in 16 weeks- a gain of 0.7kg this week but no crashing out and bingeing like I have a history of doing 🎉 I had a conversation with a colleague across the country who's also on MJ, she mentioned that her Drs are now starting to prescribe MJ for weight loss but was told that the rules are so strict at the moment that because she's 'fat but healthy' she wouldn't qualify for it! Does feel a bit like being punished for not having other health conditions but grateful I have the means to do this myself before I developed any health issues

BTW @ConfusedMiddleAger83 is that the year of your birth?
My oldest child was born then. Have I therefore got a middle-aged child?

TheZingyFish · 16/02/2026 21:38

Thanks @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne

Have had a good few weeks so am now a stone off since Christmas, 6st 9lbs in total. I actually feel like a new woman in many ways. I still have a long road ahead of me, have now hit 18st exactly but can actually see the new me starting to take shape and it’s exciting.

I don’t think I realised how long this journey would be, as I have never even been close to achieving anything like this, so it’s scary. It’s harder emotionally than I realised it would be. I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that my skin will not just shrink back but I’m now realising it is a small price to pay for being healthier, which for me is what this is all about.

No I'm about decade older than that 😂 I don’t remember why I put those numbers, which is however a symptom of my perimenopausal state 😃

Thanks @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne for the thread and tag.
Had a colleague comment on my weight loss today as I was stood at the printer, we share an office and he sees me 3 times a week so I don’t know what was different about me today, he said I was disappearing. He knows I’m calorie counting but not that I’m on jabs, he is in to health and fitness in a big way so we discuss calories and macros, he keeps telling me I’m not eating enough but I don’t lose eating over 1200 calories.

PearlsTeapot · 16/02/2026 21:57

@TheZingyFish we’re twins, I’ve lost 6 stone 10! If you ignore the 3 I put on last week, ahem.

It is a long road but the time would have passed anyway and I would have just been getting bigger.

@Cat4324 yes I’m in the ‘fat but healthy’ club for which I’m very grateful. Well done on your weight loss!

Great work by @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne on the tagging! All the gang will be here with their notifications.

TheZingyFish · 16/02/2026 22:00

@PearlsTeapot You are so right, this is how I like to think. If I wasn’t losing I would probably be gaining so you could argue I’m double ahead!
I think the best thing is that if I do gain, I don’t worry anymore or beat myself up. I know and trust in the MJ that I will drop the weight and keep dropping the weight, which makes it so much easier to get back on track.

PearlsTeapot · 16/02/2026 22:02

@52soon everyone seems to have opinions about not eating enough calories. DW was told at her Bupa health check up last week she shouldn’t go under 1750. She’d gain on that!

I can’t seem to lose on less than 1300! Today was day 1 of trying hard, I don’t feel like I ate that much and still went in at 1500 for the day. Which is annoying because I feel like I was eating on a diet but still wouldn’t lose on it.

I had:

breakfast: Coffee with oat milk, bowl of fruit and fibre with oat milk

lunch: protein bagel with cottage cheese and chicken

snacks: coffee, dried mango

dinner: chicken tikka masala with rice (Gousto meal)

snack: watermelon

52soon · 16/02/2026 22:10

@PearlsTeapot I only eat twice a day, the day’s I work it’s lunch and tea around 6ish, if I’m home it’s porridge with honey and cinnamon and banana around 11ish and a collagen coffee then tea around 6ish. I ate so much greek yogurt in the first 6 months I can’t look at it now.
