Lovely news @GnomeDePlume congrats to you all!

@Novjaro glad you were ok after your fall, not being able to get up used to be a massive fear of mine so it's a definite NSV you were able to get up.

Yes same here. I started going to a gym before going on MJ and fell backwards on some equipment that a trainer was showing me how to use, at 300lbs. Couldn’t get up and needed some burly men to help me. Mortifying but they were very nice about it thankfully.

I am trying a variation of that at the moment @Springflowers2 - I'd noticed that my food noise and resultant binging tended to start on about a Thursday (I jab on Sundays) So I took 12.5,g on Sunday, and 2.5mg this morning. No idea as yet if it will help, but I'm hopeful - willing to try anything to shut my stupid brain up at the moment! I only have to think the word 'Wagamama' and I'm on bloody Deliveroo ordering one! Really hoping I won't be the same this week, because apart from anything else, I can't afford both WLIs and takeaways - it's really got to be one or the other! I'll let you know how I get on.

I hope it works for you ,will be interested to hear how you get on xx

PositiveAttitude · 19/02/2026 13:42

Yes. I did this for a while and it worked really well. I was on 7.5mg and found that I was unable to eat for a few days and then was eating too much for a few days. So I reduced it to 5mg and was jabbing every 5 days. It worked really well and I was able to eat well, but stay within my limit each day. There wasn't the big fluctuations.

I have gone up to 10mg now and am back to jabbing every 7 days as it seems to be staying quite stable and it's going well. But if it stops being so effective I will do the same and reduce the dose and jab every 5 days for a while, rather than upping it.

Was it difficult working out how much to jab ..glad 10 mg seems to be working well for you x

Springflowers2 · 20/02/2026 05:16

Iwouldratherbesinging · 19/02/2026 16:53

@RenegadeKeeblerElf I wish my mum had been more like you, maybe I wouldn’t have had the relationship with food that I have had. You sound wonderful ☺️

@GnomeDePlume that’s just the best news ever! Congratulations to you all.

@Springflowers2 I suppose I do a variation of this, I jab 8mg every 5 days and for me it works well, but I’m not looking for full on suppression, I want to feel hungry for meal times and know the difference between thirst and hunger - I’ve come to realise that I still confuse the two.

Is 8 mg half your dose ..are you on 15 mg

It wasn't difficult. I had been happy on 5mg, but it didn't last for 7 days, so went up to 7.5 before deciding that 5 mg every 5 days was better than the higher dose once a week. I would do the same again before going up a dose. Ie: will do 10mg every 6 days then ever 5 days before stepping up a dose.

Absolutely amazing loss @MCR24 enjoy your weekend away! Are you going anywhere nice?

Thanks @PearlsTeapot , we're going to Wales 😀 should be good the worst bit will be the journey!

I was on 15mg yes, but am planning to titrate down now and this feels like a good way to do it. But jabbing every 5 days (for me) feels like the levels are more consistent.

Motnight · 20/02/2026 08:47

Some really interesting information around splitting doses. I think that I might try this.

@GnomeDePlume what lovely, lovely news! MJ is really changing people's lives for the better. @TragicMuse I love finding old clothes that fit again! I am wondering how much smaller the m and s vintage sizing is compared to today.

I am still plodding on weight wise.

AmberLime · 20/02/2026 09:00

What I like about 5 day dosing is moving away ftom having a "Jab Day" (ie "Thursdays are my jab days"). It has similar psychology to "Weigh Day" for me - in that it discourages consistent eating because I have predictable times of being very restrictive. It has vibes of refusing to eat and making sure you have a poo before Slimming World weigh-in.

I don't split does at the minute, but did at the start and over Christmas. And I plan to when titrating down (2st to go).

What I have found helpful in terms of weighing without a "Weigh Day" is that I stand on the scales every morning. This records my weight every day on the app and so I don't have a specific day when I look out how much I lost that week - instead just note a general downward trend.

Cheers,I might give it a try then

Mine wears of to after 5 days ..it's hard then going the extra 2 days before jab day .might give it a go

TragicMuse · 20/02/2026 09:10

It’s interesting @Motnightbecause I’ve also bought new 16s and the fit is within the same scale of confort and fit. Some brands are more loose and some aren’t. So I’m not sure I entirely buy the whole vanity-sizing-measurements-are-bigger-now-for-the-same-size-label thing. Or that it’s vanity sizing. Much of it will be style, design ease, wearing ease, fabric economy and our old friend profit…

I think I could potentially get into a 14 in Sainsbury in the jeans I bought last weekend but I’m not a 14 anywhere else…

I have been injecting every five days for ages.
It works much better for me.

Gnome I'm so happy to see your news about your DDs!

Billybingbong · 20/02/2026 09:48

Week 46, and annoyingly I've had a 1lb gain. I'm already feeling crappy because I've got horrendous toothache, and have barely eaten this week, so I'm proper sulking now 🤬. But I know its nothing to do with my eating, so I'm putting it down to the antibiotics and painkillers messing with my system. Its my first unexpected gain so far, so I shouldn't complain really (she says while stamping her feet like a spoiled brat) . Onwards and downwards for next week.

Talking of split dosing. I've been on 5mg now since month 2. I tried moving up, but didn't like the super supression I had the first few days, so dropped back down to 5, and jab every 6 days. It's starting to wear off a little now, so I can't decide whether to increase the dose a little & stay on 6 day jabs, or stay on 5mg and move to every 5 days. I suppose it's all just trial and error, to see what works best.

A little NSV this week. I'm back in jeans, for the first time in at least 15 years. Size 18, fit perfect. The last pair I had were a size 26, and I binned them when I popped the button trying to sit down! But for me, it's actually less about the sizing, as we know it varies so much between brands, and more about the confidence to wear 'proper' clothes. Ive always worn, loose, baggy, shapeless stuff to hide the flab. But now here I am, strutting around in properly structured clothes. I'm moving away from stretchy sack dresses and elasticated waists, and now wearing things with belts, zips & buttons. The freedom a smaller body gives you is so liberating, in so many ways.

@GnomeDePlume what wonderful news, I'm am so happy for you. A new little one is such a precious gift, and you're getting double, how fabulous. Congrats, granny 💕

mamabeeboo · 20/02/2026 09:58

Just to check on the maths - when people say they jab every 5 days, is jab day, day 1?
So you would jab on Monday then Friday?

Billybingbong · 20/02/2026 10:10

@mamabeeboo I would say day 5 would be Saturday. At the moment, I jab every 6 days, so I do a Monday, then Sunday, then Saturday etc

mamabeeboo · 20/02/2026 10:27

OK thank you, so jab day is day 0.
I feel like I have been counting wrong this whole time🙃

TragicMuse · 20/02/2026 12:26

My diabetes nurse was absolutely delighted with my bloods and my weight loss! Fully complimentary on the effort, totally appreciative that MJ is a tool and doesn’t do magic for you. She said it was going to make her smile all day!

And then I had a smear test and didn’t need the wedge cushion or a left leaning thing. Last time was difficult and uncomfortable, this time was easy, quick and I barely felt it.

That’s an unexpected NSV and one I welcome wholeheartedly!

Teddy Bear No GIF by BEARISH

As you know I finally dipped under 20stones and was entering in my app-tracker but adjusted the stones first and then the lbs and didn't realise adjusting the lbs automatically wound it back another stone. Didn't notice for a couple of days. So now my tracker looks as though I have dipped and then climbed by a whole stone.

So infuriated that even my secret tracking was trying to trick me.

And of course it doesn't matter. But I like a graph! This is why I should have stuck to kg.

UsernameShmusername2024 · 20/02/2026 14:11

@Billybingbong hope your toothache is better soon- I had an infected crown one christmas and it remains the worst pain of my life, including child birth! Sure your gain this week will come right off plus more next week.

Weigh in day for me this week. Despite 7 pancakes I had a big whoosh after putting on 2lbs last week - I list 5.5lbs which takes my total loss to 127lbs in 53 weeks. Walking around in my second pair of size 18 jeans in a week feeling tiny! 😅

Have a good weekend everyone. Start of half term for me, I'm off all next week with the kids and it hit me that I'll actually notice not making it to the exercise classes I regularly go to now.

Doggymummar · 20/02/2026 14:54

So hungry today and it's still 4 hours till eat o'clock. I've only got one pen left now from the ones I bought in August and I'm still not working so needed to save some money. I thought I would give Bolt a try as they are advertising everywhere how cheap they are. They are literally £1 cheaper than Oushk so not worth.moving for. So annoying I had full on consult and everything she Just kept pushing wegovy which is tempting at £150 a month but I don't know. Did anyone switch to 2.4 I can't remember now

CatAtTheWindow · 20/02/2026 15:35

Hi, can I join your merry club please? I've got around 10st or so to lose.

I started MJ 4 weeks ago and have lost 8lbs so far.
SW 20st 12lbs
CW 20st 6lbs
Target weight? Not sure just yet

I've had a read through this and some of your previous threads and I'm amazed to see so many fantastic results. It really does spur me on to think this time I might actually manage to shift some of this blubber.

Like many of you, I have been on every day diet known to woman with varying results. The weight has crept on over the years and I've been up and down as most of you will probably understand.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

MCR24 · 20/02/2026 15:40

@CatAtTheWindow welcome loser!

In my daily weight this morning I'd put on all the weight I'd lost yesterday, bodies are strange! Hope it goes again by next week, I don't have scales this weekend so Tuesday I'll get a surprise!
