@Dbatteryband That's fantastic. I bet you were fizzing from that for ages. My mother (also my harshest critic) said I looked ten years younger and 'tiny' recently which was lovely. It wasn't even begrudging! Also the sword fight knitting comment made me laugh, poor wool!

I'm still at 184. Sitting firmly at 4 stone down is a pretty good place to be even so. I've lost 6lbs in October. I think I can notice smaller losses on myself now, whereas when I was bigger they were less noticeable. I still feel frustrated on a daily basis that I can't exercise to get the weight off. My knee is so unreliable and it's been quite sore since I dislocated it coming down the stairs 2 weeks ago. Making my peace with it slowly!

Just chucked another load of wood on the fire and currently watching the kittens trill and chase each other about in the amber glow. Lovely stuff.

Seahorsesplendour · 30/10/2025 21:22

@lissie123 i have had to move up doses fairly steadily at 4-6 weeks on each dose , however I’m now 7 weeks into 10mg and it’s working amazingly still! I’m 🤞🏻 it carries on!!

@DidILeaveTheGasOn I've just enjoyed our last evening with the wood burner on holiday !! It’s glorious & I'm going to miss it!!

dreading home coming weigh in!! Had a great first half of week but last few days have not been as controlled (no fault of the MJ! ) just me pushing passed that portcullis!!!!

equally looking forward to regaining control & focus & undoing whatever damage I have done!!!

onwards & downwards!!

ElsieJay · 31/10/2025 12:10

Lovely compliments from your Mums, @DBatteryBand and @DidILeaveTheGasOn ! Weird how they’re our harshest critics and our staunchest supporters at the same time .
Glad you’ve had a great time away, @Seahorsesplendour - the wood burner sounds lovely and cosy . Fingers crossed the weigh in won’t be too awful.

Friday is my WW weigh in day - only 1lb off, but at least it’s downwards. Need to step up the water and exercise, both so much harder when it’s cold and rainy ☔️ .
Only 9.5lbs to go to my goal weight, which I’d very much like to achieve before Christmas.

Happy Halloween, everyone!
Have stocked up on mini Haribo packets in anticipation of any trick or treaters , we had none last year and guess what happened to the sweeties ….

Just back from my mums, she disapproves of ‘unnecessary’ medication of any kind (her list includes painkillers, contraception, HRT etc) and has also been on at me about weight for most of my life, so I am definitely never telling her about the Mounjaro. However at almost 4 st gone it is starting to show. She did that thing where people look you up and down whilst talking to you (do people really think you won’t notice!?) today but managed not to actually comment. I’m sure another stone or so and she won’t be able to hold back though!

Seahorsesplendour · 01/11/2025 06:55

@ElsieJay thanks!!

2lb on which is way better than I expected!!!

All credit to those who’ve lost on holiday!!! My control just slipped completely by end of the week!!

But jabbed last night and up to do work out now!! Hoping increasing my water again will shift that 2lb promptly!!!

happy weekend!!

ElsieJay · 01/11/2025 07:17

@Seahorsesplendour that’s fine, easily lost this week now you’re back on track.
Up at 7am on a Saturday to do a workout, that’s what I call dedication !

SutekhsEars · 01/11/2025 07:40

NSV: I bought a pair of jeans with a 30" waist - apparently that's a 12. Unfortunately, I've always been broad-shouldered with skinny hips, and I think it's getting more obvious as I lose weight.

Fantastic NSV, @SutekhsEars !!

tostaky · 01/11/2025 11:50

Well done @SutekhsEars! Such a great feeling!

Little NSV for me: in June i was not able to do a burpee: i couldnt jump into a plank and jump back to the start position. This morning in my gym class we had to do as many burpees as possible in one minute and i managed 7! I was amazed at myself! I was the one who did the less (max was 13) but i feel i wasnt too far off other women (lots did 8 or 9). Very happy to be and feel stronger and more agile!

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 01/11/2025 17:02

Loving the NSVs!

I'm wearing a necklace with a short chain. It sits really nicely and fits comfortably. This is a necklace I bought to take on holiday last November and was quietly quite upset that it wouldn't go anywhere near my neck.

Feeling good!

FlorenceNightshade · 01/11/2025 18:25

Bloody hell how amazing are the burpee doing, size 12 jeaned necklace wearing queens @DidILeaveTheGasOn @tostaky and @SutekhsEars ???? Fantastic updates well done 🥳🥳🥳

Ive had 2 people notice. My SIL asked if id lost weight and said i looked well.

my mum today. I see her every week so maybe it’s not so noticeable. She thought I’d lost weight off my face.

ive ordered 10mg for my next pen hopefully i get approved cos tried a new supplier as my normal provider gives no loyalty discount.

Hoping it will help with supression. Got 2 weekends away in November so I might delay jabbing or take a week off.
I get really bad SE at the weekends.

Seahorsesplendour · 01/11/2025 19:59

Hurray!!! Came on to post my accidental NSV and loved reading others NSV’s!!!! We’re all doing amazingly!!!! 😍

I treated myself to a new pair of pjs today as all my current ones are just too big now and I’m sick of them twisting round at night!!

popped into Argos in sainsburies to pick up something & while in there impulse brought 2 separates I haven’t brought clothes yet so no idea what size so just grabbed a large & hoped for the best!!

once home got out the bag & realised the damn bottoms were on wrong hanger & were only a medium 😞

then thought oh what the hell I’ll try them on and blow me down they fit!!!!!!!!! 😆😆😆

infact I’m taking the L top back to swap for a medium tomorrow!!!!!!

I can’t believe it!!! The last pair I bought myself were a 24!!!

Feels amazing!!! It’s been 18 years since I’ve been able to consider a medium from any shop!!

VashtaNerada · 01/11/2025 21:05

Met up with some old friends this week. Not one noticed (or at least commented) on me being 3 stone lighter! I’m actually quite relieved as it means I could avoid the dilemma of whether to tell the truth or not. The main thing is that I can tell the difference (and DH can too) and I’m happy with that for now.

SutekhsEars · 01/11/2025 22:01

@VashtaNerada maybe they were just being polite. How are your side effects? Any easier?

PinkScot · 01/11/2025 22:02

Loving all the NSVs! Had some old friends round today and they couldn’t believe the difference as haven’t seen them since August ! So lovely to see people’s reactions when you see yourself every day it seems so slow progress but they see jumps and leaps 😎.

HKG · 01/11/2025 23:38

hello all! I’ve been lucky enough to have a little whoosh this week - lost 3.6lbs! So chuffed with that after weeks of 1lb or just under, and not done anything different so it’s a mystery. That takes me to 1.4lbs off 3 stone which is very exciting and also past the half way mark. We are off to Center Parcs with the kids on Monday so I’m not sure I’ll make it next week but week after for sure. Feeling positive and wanted to share!

we can do this! Onwards and downwards!

SutekhsEars · 02/11/2025 09:24

I'm looking forward to getting back into a healthy routine as my DC are back at school tomorrow and I feel well enough to restart some exercise. I have pilates booked for tomorrow and I'm going to swim on Tuesday. Drinking plenty of water and menu planning. Last stretch before Christmas! Onwards and downwards!

HereIGoOnceMore · 02/11/2025 13:01

How’s everyone doing? I’ve been jabbing every 5 days for about three months now and it has gone so well. Until yesterday when I suddenly remembered I needed to jab before cooking dinner. All great until I went to log it on shotsy and realised I was a day early. Blush
In other news I have managed to get under 9 and a half stones consistently this week after bobbing around either side for a couple of weeks.

Gingercar · 02/11/2025 21:27

I feel like I’m struggling. I just don’t get full. Im still eating really clean, healthy meals, but the portions (of salad, veg, fruit etc) are getting bigger and bigger. And while a lot of you are still flying along and at 4 stone losses, I’ve seemed to massively slow down. A friend who is also on MJ came this weekend and we had the same meal and she was full so quickly, whereas I could just eat and eat. Sometimes I wonder why I have spent all this money on the injections if im having to use so much will power to keep straight. And after five months of no sugar, I’ve picked at a few of the Halloween sweets in the cafe (all given away today, so that temptation is gone). Im on my last 7.5 pen, got about 3 more doses, then I’ve two 10mg pens and two 12.5 pens. Each time I go up a dose I hope I’ll finally get some feeling fullness, but never have so far.
Im probably just tired, half term is busy for me. Hopefully I can catch my breath and pick up the walking again. I’m always a bit down in November. The thought of winter overwhelms me a bit and I don’t like Xmas much. If I give myself a kick I know three stones is a great loss and I know I look much better. And I need to pull myself together!

HereIGoOnceMore · 02/11/2025 22:05

I’ve also found the past few weeks hard @Gingercar. I’m not sure if it’s the time of year, the injections having less effect or my body fighting back, but I’m back to being hungry a lot of the time.

I’m still managing to eat well, but it’s taking a lot more conscious effort whereas over the summer it was relatively easy. I wasn’t hungry and was enjoying protein salads and not missing chocolate or sweet things.

I listened to the Zoe podcast with Andrew Jenkinson yesterday, I’ve read AJ’s book before and he was a big influence on my decision to give up UPF. It was good to listen to his advice and remind myself that it’s my hormones and not a lack of willpower or moral fibre. I hope you have a good few days - I do admire you for managing to resist the food all around you, I’m not sure I could manage that.

Apprenante · 02/11/2025 22:10

HereIGo and Ginger ...I think the colder weather and the darker evenings make it all a bit harder. We started in the summer and got used to a style of eating - salads and so on - and now have to invent a new system. Can you think of any cooked vegetables that you particularly like?

DBatteryBand · 02/11/2025 22:36

@Gingercar you are surrounded by temptation. You do amazingly well. I have realised this week that I do ok because I usually just don't have any lovely treats in the house. This week I have had various tubs of millionaires shortbread and flapjacks etc in the cupboard for DD and her friends. It has been a nightmare. I have eaten handfuls of them. You cope with that temptation all the time. You do an amazing job to keep losing weight. Mounjaro is a tremendous help, but we're all still human, and many of us are predisposed to shovelling lovely food down our throats. Keep the faith and trust the process. You've got this!

Gingercar · 02/11/2025 22:49

I’ve not really changed what I was eating. I’m still eating, and enjoying, salads, berries and seeds with Greek yogurt, loads of veg based dishes. I don’t think I’m eating anything bad generally (apart from the few sweets I’ve nabbed this weekend!). I’m just having bigger amounts. But I wouldn’t have thought it was enough to stop me losing weight. And I still have been, just much slower, and it gets frustrating! I’m being silly, I know.

Thank you guys. Your support helps.

HKG · 02/11/2025 23:04

@Gingercar just wanted to chime in to say I also think you’re doing great. If it helps, I can sympathise on the feeling like you’re losing slowly by comparison. I am a couple of lbs away from losing 3 stone so similar to you. I seemingly spend a lot of time comparing my loss to others and it always helps me to hear of others like me - hence why I’m sharing now. I hope it helps.

I’ve also been telling myself on my slower weeks that it’s skin recovery, giving my skin a chance to catch up. Might that help you too or you may not be as vain as I am!

all this to say, I think you’re doing great. I’m right alongside you. Keep doing you!
